Vacation in the middle of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina 13 miles east of Asheville, NC. Our cabin is located just outside the picturesque town of Black Mountain and is an easy drive to many wonderful sites like The Biltmore House, Mountain Mitchell State Park, Cherokee Indian Reservation, white water rafting, Maggie Valley, Linville Gorge/Falls, Chimney Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Grove Park Inn, and many more.

Our cabin is open beam with Ponderosa Pine paneling, wood floors and stone fireplace. Enjoy beautiful sunsets on our large porch that looks out over the valley and the quaint town of Black Mountain. Clean, cute, and cozy!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay-so much so that we have already booked again for the fall. The cabin was perfect for the two of us. We loved the feeling of being away from it all, yet only five minutes from town. It was quiet (aside from the house being built next door) and the views were amazing!! We hated to leave, and can't wait to return.

Beautiful Cabin, perfect view and locale.

Stayed here for two nights. Close enough to Asheville to get the benefits of the city, though out enough to feel a nice, and relaxing country vacation. The cabin was cozy and plentiful for our needs! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing weekend!

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful time here this weekend. Cabin is very close to downtown Black Mountain, so it's just as short drive to great places like the Veranda Cafe, Black Mountain Biscuit Co, Black Mountain Ciderworks, Pisgah Brewing (live music sometimes), Dynamite Coffee, and lots of other little shops. Once you get to the cabin, the first thing you notice when you get in is the view. Gorgeous with a perfect porch to enjoy it from! Cabin is clean, well maintained and as all you need for a great weekend away to relax. Will definitely be back.

Gorgeous views, good value.

The cabin had a open concept, with 1 bedroom and 1 bath. The pull out sofa was not comfortable, would recommend brining your own foam overlay or a blow-up mattress or you will feel like you are sleeping on a box spring. The bed, however was nice. There were plenty of extra pillows and blankets provided. The views are incredible, the only downside to the amazing views are that you can hear I-40 and every once in a while there are dogs that bark incessantly (for a few minutes to an hour maybe) in the valley. The gas fireplace was also a nice touch. There was seating for 4 on the back deck and at the kitchen table. The refrigerator has an ice maker and there is a dishwasher (yea!). The kitchen also has coffee pot, toaster, and I believe there was a blender under the counter. I felt there was plenty of silverware, glasses, cups and plates, but an extra pot would have been nice. While we were there, there was construction next door, but that didn't bother us much, as we were away hiking most of the day when the work was being done. The cabin could use a recliner in the living area and a small table by the closet side of the bed to set stuff on. Also a ventilation fan in the bathroom would be helpful and it was hard with 3 people showering to keep it from being super moist in there. We had a lot of trouble with the TV and the owners were slow to respond, we finally got it working by day 3, but on the day we left it wasn't working again. There is only parking for 1 car and it is just barely off the street, but it worked for us. I'm just glad we didn't decide to drive separate vehicles. This cabin is old, probably built in the 50s or 60s but you can tell a lot of work has been done on it to update it. However, if you are one of the 25% of the population who is genetically sensitive to mold, I would either bring your own HEPA filter or look for a newer cabin.
