Our cabin is open beam with Ponderosa Pine paneling, wood floors and stone fireplace. Enjoy beautiful sunsets on our large porch that looks out over the valley and the quaint town of Black Mountain. Not up to our normal standard of "nice" for the cost involved
Entire cabin floor slopes . Front door stuck to where we could not use it. Fireplace worked intermittently. Internet became unavailable. Barely room to park for one vehicle which after parking passenger could.not exit vehicle which was still almost sticking out on the road. Owner was available all three times I called and seemed eager to assist. Cabin was clean and stocked well. Black Mountain town is a wonderful place.
Please read our other reviews to get a balanced opinion concerning Cabin in the Clouds. We're sorry our property was not exactly what Jim expected. Our price is modest and do we advertise as a cabin. There's never been a message regarding sloping floors, not sure what he means there. We did have the sticking door fixed. Our cabin is on the side of a mountain with one lane roads so very few people in our community have large parking areas. We include instructions with our welcome letter that says use the thermostat next to the fireplace that way there is never a problem.
Great place to get away and unwind
Cabin in the clouds is a perfect get away. The cabin is cozy and the scenery is spectacular.
Thank you for the wonderful review.
This cabin is wonderful. The area is Appalachian bliss, and the cabin has all the amenities that one could ever want. The only word of warning I can give is be careful which route you choose to reach the cabin- if you follow GPS rather than the directions provided by the owner, you end up in washed-out country dirt roads that some cars might not pass through.
Super views and awesome all around

Money well spent!
