Jim is a wonderful human being and the most gracious host I've ever met. The property was made for gatherings like our's and I could not have been more pleased with the property, the amenities, and Jim's hospitality.
the property was beautiful. house was old, cold and not what was advertised. There was only one stove, the dishwasher did not work, coffee pot broken, showering was a challenge, not enough water pressure (trickle). we had bad wi-fi internet. I was very disappointed overall. It was hard to cook for 19 people 2 meals a day. Some broken furniture.I would never rent this place again.
I had a huge group of people and this place had something for everyone! There was plenty of space, things to do, bathrooms, and places to sleep. It was an easy drive to both the ferries to cross into Seattle or the bridge into Tacoma. Our group couldn't be more happy with our stay!
Fantastic stting. A lot of indoor and outdoor spaces. Kayaked in lttle pond and had camp fire one night and hung out in game room another night. All and all fabulous place for our group of 50 something golking buddies. 29 the year in a row and this is one of the top places we have stayed.
I've stayed in many many large VRBO properties, this one is by far my favorite. The house is amazing, it has personality and quirks, it's put together with care and houses many stories. the host, Jim, has put so much care into the place and he is an amazing resource who really cares that guests enjoy their stay here. The cars, the pond, the game room, our group had so much fun just barely scratching the surface of all we could have done at this house. truly can't wait to go back!

Interesting and comfortable large property, recommended!
Management took great care of us, thanks for everything - we'll be back!
When getting together with friends and our families, it's hard to find a space large enough for everyone to share. This property was able to fit us all and without hassle. Jim was a great host and we'd be happy to return.
Maureen and family are great people. They are fun spirited and used the Lodge well. Maureen has a very creative mind and transformed the Basket Court into a turn of the century knights of the round table dining facility including draperies on the walls that looked like stone walls of the era.
We have already talked about a possible family return for next summer with even more guests. Blessings to Maureen and family!

Unique and remote property
We had a wonderful time staying at the house. There was plenty of space for everyone and a great VHS collection. I would recommend this property to anyone doing a retreat weekend or multi family get away.

Thnak you so much for your staying at the Lodge Greg. Also thank you for helping homeless. It helps fund a non profit in the Pacific Northwest called Urban Hands. Urban Hands focus is rebuilding hope, community and dreams for our Hispaic males that have crossed the border. We are also providing housing, building community and a drug and alcohol free life style for our friends. Thank you for helping lives!
Four families, total 20, spend 4 days and 3 nights at this property. We enjoyed the big space for all the 12 kids from all different range of age. They stayed occupied while the 8 adults had multiple meeting throughout the four days. We had no issues with the house. We enjoyed the cars. Jim the owner was very helpful and friendly.
Beautiful property. So much space to spread out and common places to come together. This is our families 3rd time at this property, and each time holds special memories. Jim is a very gracious host.
This is a really quirky space, but also a wildly amazing space - do not expect it to be lacking in nuance, do expect to have more space than you can possibly know what to do with - sleeps a ton, sound isolated in most of the bedrooms, overall, an amazing gem of a place.

The place was dirty! The bath mats, the rugs, the floors were all disgusting. The owner lives next door and I told him it was dirty and all he said was “sorry “. I had him come in to clean two of the sinks because they were dirty and he said that he has a cleaning service! Also there were loose tiles on the floor and a loose post on the deck that was dangerous. Also no water pressure at all!
This was our fourth time renting the Harbor Creek Lodge and we look forward to the next! The house is very large and has lots of spaces for gathering, an indoor basketball gym, game room with pool table, ping pong, foosball, poker table, and a wet bar. The lodge is an older log building and has seen its share of wear and tear, but is still a great place for events with your friends and family. Jim was easy to work with and accommodating. We appreciate all of his work to get the property ready for our group.
Me and a large group rented the Lodge for a weekend retreat and we look forward to returning. The property comfortably fit around 50 people but could have fit even more. The large number of beds, pull out couches, and bathrooms offered a leisurely experience for everyone. We especially loved to spend time in the front yard however, where there was a beautiful open grass area plus a large pond with a boat. On top of everything, the showroom of cars was amazing for taking pictures and observation. I could not have found a better place for a large group weekend getaway, would 100% recommend!

Large Home Plenty of space
We had stayed her over 13 years ago and the host was amazing then and now! However, the house not so much. The house was incredibly dirty, Dirty laundry inside the house, dust everywhere, and the house it sell was in desperate need of some TLC. Very large house and great for entertaining large gatherings but I think it is time for a uplift.

I met with Yesay a few hours after they arrived and went over and met them in person to help them with the internet. A coworker was me when I went over and showed Yesay the access code that was on the modem. He had misread the code and reentered it and it worked fine.
Prior to meeting Yesay in the kitchen area I knocked on the front door before entering and a woman was at the top of the stairs and I said Hello I am the owner and came over to help Yesay with the internet. Her response was, "This place is filthy." To which I was perplexed as I knew that was not accurate as I had walked through the Lodge prior to their arrival. I politely asked her what I could do to help and what was the problem. She rudely responded everything! I asked what could I do to be helpful and she walked away. I spoke to some older woman who were seated and talking by the fire place and they said they were having a great time.
I never spoke with them again and this is the first I have heard from them since my interaction from her. I was willing to correct anything that might have been a problem but I could not correct the issue if I had no idea what the problem was.
I am disappointed in her comment but also am aware that the house was in great shape. We pride ourselves on taking good care of our clients. We have received great reviiews both before and their stay.
10 basketball players and parents head to Seattle for tourney
It was exactly as I expected; lodge that was large enough for big group, nothing fancy so it felt like we were in the mountains at a place drifters can come through and use and try to leave it better than they found it! Owner is super nice and definitely wants your stay to be enjoyable. Our only downer was that half the lodge was freezing cold due to heater breaking the week before we got there. We made it work but could have have used the extra space. Definitely intend on visiting there again in a warmer time and recommend to large parties for sure.

Hi Chris
I am sorry that the heater in the car wing was not working correctly. It was working fine for the last group and when I discovered it the Company that takes care of the furnace said because of the cold weather they had no techs available til the following week. I had another tech come out and the heat came on.and when I came back 2 hours later it was again,
I really sorry.
I was really disappointed that I ran out of time to go the games. I was looking forward to that.
If you are up here again I would be glad to offer you 10% off on a next booking.
Chris pleasure to meet you and your group. Thanks for being a positive force in young peoples lives. JIm
Blessings,
Nice to meet you.
The entire home was dirty beyond dust & cobbwebbs the floors, toilets, refrigerators, & bedding all needed to be cleaned before we used. The furniture is worn out, refrigerator has missing shelves, & due to the lack of cleaniness there is a mildew smell. Despite all of these my family rallied, helped clean up, & enjoyed the gathering.

Very pleasant stay in a large, rustic and eclectic cabin house
We chose this rental place because the house has lots of bedrooms, a large dining table, and could accommodate our 15-person group. The place is very remote and has lots of charms, with its lake/pond, large kitchen, rec room, gym room, and of course its garages with 10+ antique cars. We struggled a bit initially with the lack of wifi and some plumbing issues, which both got repaired on the second day. Do not expect perfection or you'll be disappointed, it's an older and very large place and the owner does his best to maintain things. Despite those minor issues, we had an excellent time in this house and would stay at the same place if the opportunity comes again.

About the host
Hosted by JIm Lustig
All rentals of the Lodge hel[p feed, house and allow homeless in Seattle. Currently we are housing 20 Hispanic Males in Seattle, as well as feeding them and kicking off aq new program that will offer English as a second language classes, Job training for permanent jobs, provide counseling, Drug and Alcohol Training and build Community. Our goal is to care about hispanioc males that have come to Seattle to help their families south of the border and gotten stuck doing Alcohol and drugs and find hope in a bottle. We want to heal the whole person and provide self worth and ways to financially support them selves and creqte stability and hope.
Why they chose this property
Another interesting fact about ther Lodge is was rented for the second Borat Moviie. Because of Covid the Hoolywood Producer was looking for a large secluded Propery that they could film part of the Movie at the Lodge. If you watch the Movie (which has something in it to offend every one) you will watch Borat in the Living Room Seating area and also walking down the hallway to kill the virus (he refers to it as the Verus) . When the Movie was filmed we were not allowed on the Property as it was a secret what they were doing. We found out that Borat had been there after the movie came out.
What makes this property unique
The property is totally private and has a 4 block long driveway into the property and a wonderful small lake with fresh water that is great for wildlife and swimming. The estate has a 1/2 basketball court inside, outdoor hot tub, game room with foosball, pool table, table tennis, dance floor with disco ball and a full wet bar. Inside I also have my collection of 13 classic cars with couches, bistro tables and memorabilia. There is a full gourmet kitchen for cooking and entertaining off the large living and dining room.
