Magical Waterfront Escape from the city located in the Hudson Valley!

Magical and creative! Get ready for the most unique and one of the most popular houses in the Hudson Valley. With 150 feet of frontage on the Esopus Creek in the back of the property and the rolling hills and barns of an organic farm in the front of the property, tranquility dominates the views seen from the windows of this gorgeous house located at the base of the Catskill mountains. We are excited to announce two new decks, an outdoor prep kitchen and an outdoor shower.

The space
"Pure Magic" Experience Brigham Place- One of the Hudson Valleys longest running and highest rated rental properties over the last 18 years. From the pride and passion of the the owners to the special attention paid to every detail, you too can experience this waterfront and country oasis.

Cook and grill overlooking the gorgeous creek on our double decks in the back of the house and retreat to the "Sunset / Buffalo" deck with your cocktails in the evening and watch the sunset and the rolling fields of the farm from the front of the house.

Newly and tastefully completed, the house was eco consciously designed with bamboo floors, reclaimed materials and vintage furnishings. This 2 bedroom and 1 bath cottage has a spacious open floor plan which includes a chef inspired kitchen with a large dining bar and French doors opening out from the main living area to a sprawling new deck surrounded by nature.

Privately set on a quiet road, in a beautiful neighborhood, this comfortably furnished cottage captures the essence of Hudson Valley living. Close to Saugerties, Rhinebeck, Uptown Kingston, Woodstock, Hudson, H.I.T.S, skiing, sledding, wineries, boutiques, acclaimed restaurants and within a mile of several rustic farms where you can purchase your fresh produce, milk and farm raised eggs.

You will not find a property quite like Brigham Place. As the many guest reviews suggest, the house is stocked with quirky decorations, fun accessories such as cowboy hats, sombreros, wigs and other toys to make your stay a memorable one.

To add to your enjoyment, we now provide 4 kayaks with life vests so that you can enjoy the Esopus Creek accessible directly from the private dock off of the backyard! You will have a beautiful 2.5 mile span of the creek between two lovely waterfalls to explore!

Other things to note
While we do charge a cleaning fee, we do expect you to leave the house in the same condition you found it in! This is our home and we are so very happy to share it's magic with you! Please take extra good care of it!

We are also a pet friendly property because our fur babies are also part of the family! However, we do charge a one-time pet fee of $50 as it does take extra time to clean after our fur babies. Please disclose if you will be bringing a pet(s) with you!

Great break from the city

The house was clean, and quiet and that's all we could hope for when getting out of the city. Views were beautiful as well and there was plenty to do nearby to keep us occupied when we wanted to venture out

Cute and Comfy

Super fun house abounding with charm and kitsch. Clean and comfortable. Tons of lawn and deck outdoor space overlooking the creek where breakfast - cocktails may be enjoyed. Alexandra was beyond attentive, ensured we were settled in and found everything to our liking. Nice bit of wildlife around the property; we particularly enjoyed watching the resident family of bunnies, bluebirds and pileated woodpeckers. Also, be sure to check out Mirador in Kingston for great authentic tapas bar.

lovely weekend upstate

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable place. The communication with the hosts was effortless and we found the property in optimal shape. the bedrooms were large and comfortable, the kitchen had all we needed and the terraces, both in front of the house and at the back of the house overlooking the creek were perfect for brunch/dinner for 4 people. we can highly recommend this rental. we did not swim or use boats on the creek, but that seems to be possible.

Our family of 4 plus dog had a wonderful time at this unique property. Our teenager had fun fishing in the creek and caught/released a ton of crappies, we enjoyed the tubes/kayaks, the dog enjoyed watching the birds and deer. Quick drive to many towns and great hikes.The creek is beautiful to view from the incredible deck. The water is pretty but filled with underwater plants, fish and algae—we would not have gone swimming in it but great for other activities.The home is clean and as pictured. Kids loved the taxidermy animals but our dog barked at them a bunch. Decor is so fun/unique. Kitchen well-stocked with salt, pepper, basic spices/condiments, and plenty of kitchen tools. We were able to shop at Adam’s Fairacre Farms nearby and get all the groceries we are accustomed to (including a nice organic selection, local produce, meats and cheeses). Check in was easy. The home is located on a dead end across from a farm which is lovely and the dog enjoyed walks. It was pretty buggy on the deck and in the yard as you would expect so bring bug spray. Bbq was located in front of the house next to driveway so we did not use it. Backyard or deck bbq would have been more convenient. We were able to roast S’mores in the backyard fire pit which the kids loved.Our younger child left his phone between the couch cushions. The hosts found it after we left and kindly mailed it back to us.Great hosts, great property. We would love to return.

Relaxing cozy cottage with beautiful views

Had a wonderful end of summer stay at Brigham Place. The home is quaint, unique and very clean with all the comforts of home. Enjoying our morning coffee gazing at the fields or on the deck overlooking the creek was so relaxing. We grilled outside and made delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen and sipped wine by the fire pit. This is a great location near hiking and kayaking was convenient right off the dock. Our pup also had fun walking the grounds and snooping through the doggy toybox. Bill and Alexandra were perfect hosts who were informative and very responsive with any questions we had. Thank you so much for such a memorable stay!
