Huge family house with pool /pool bar. Home sits on 7 wooded acres with a huge front and rear yard. There are plenty of activities in the area - Gun Lake, hiking Yankee Springs State Game area or Fish Lake state land, Gun Lake Casino, Bay Pointe, Pickleball at Curley Cone, and much more. In addition to the pool the house also includes a basketball court by pool area. This is a great house for family /group gatherings.

Across the road you can hike on 700 acres if state owned land that encompasses a 500 acres lake - Fish Lake.

Fall and winter activities include multiple ski resorts, cross country and snowmobile trails in Yankee Springs recreational area and local festivities including Gun Lake Winterfest.

2022 pool recap - Pool season starts after Memorial Day . This gives plenty of time for the pool to heat up and Mother Nature time to blossom around the pool area. June to mid August the pool is blessed with plenty of sun as the sun rises and set high above the mature trees . During this time of year the shade under the deck /pool bar and patio umbrellas become your best friend . Pool temps at this time range from 76 -82 degrees as we have hot days and warm nights . In late August as the kids start getting ready for school, the sun angle begins to change causing it to lower in the sky behind a few trees . With this, the cooler nights hover in the 60s. The warm days still can keep the pool temp around 73-77 degrees .
If you have any questions about the pool season please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
If you see some open dates on the calendar and would like to inquire for a possible shorter stay. Please send a message with dates and guest numbers and we will try to fit you in .

Great for girls weekend and family trip!

We enjoyed relaxing at the pool and hiking the local trails. The house is perfect for groups as there was lots of space to spread out if needed.

Perfect property for wedding weekend

We stayed at this rental for our sons wedding and had all the groomsmen stay with us. The space was perfect! We could not have been happier with our rental!

Fun Family Memories

The property is wonderful. Of course the pool and all its privacy makes the event. My grandkids were in and out of the pool playing and enjoying the day. The shallow end of the pool was perfect height for our 6 & 7 year old's to stand up - this helped to improve their swimming capabilities. They also loved the Play Set in the back yard. The house was clean, updated and with all the amenities. The mornings were enjoyed on the upper deck overlooking the pool and once the kids were tucked in for the night - the Ping Pong tournament started in the garage. Movie night was special with the large curve TV and sound system. You can not go wrong staying here. Thanks Jeff, we really enjoyed our time

Awesome house and pool

The house worked well for our family. The pool was an absolute blast for the kids 3-6 yrs old. The adults enjoyed the Tiki Bar and the fitness room. It truly felt like you were at a nice resort. Owner communicated about the pool safety directly with me which I appreciated. Would stay again for sure!

Fun, homey and clean!

Beautiful house, my friends and I really enjoyed the pool and the privacy of the location. The level of cleanliness was excellent. The house was equipped with everything we needed and the hosts were very helpful and nice. We would definitely love to come back!

Graduation Vacation Celebration

Was looking for a place to accommodate my family and friend to attend and celebrate my daughter's graduation from a local High School. Jeff's place was awesome to say the least! Plenty of room and space for everyone and everything. Of course the pool was a big hit and so was all the other entertainment on the property. Everything was clean and organized and Jeff ensured that we were well taken care of. Not sure when i will be back in that area again but i will definitely try to rent this place again! 5 Stars all around and i wholeheartly recommend!

Time of our lives

We were absolutely amazed by how amazing this property was. Jeff has so much pride in this home and it clearly shows. The place offered endless options to keep our adult children entertained. The pool was beautiful. The memories made during our holiday weekend there will last forever! We will definitely be staying at this property again.

Perfect for our needs

This was perfect for our girls weekend! This is our second time staying in the house. All the amenities you need. Clean house, great location. Lots to do no matter the time of year. Located close to Yankee Springs trails for hiking, cross country skiing or biking. We’ll be back again.

Awesome house

Our group of 8 thoroughly enjoy this house. Very clean and stocked with everything we needed. Owner was very helpful. Great location to be in your own space. The pool setup was excellent, although we didn’t use as the outside temperatures dropped into 50/60 degrees the day before we arrived.

Beautiful Home Just as Described

Beautiful home. Very Clean. Had everything we needed. Grounds were gorgeous. Played basketball, ping pong and utilized workout room! Only 2 points that barely deserve a mention. Pool is not heated and gets only partial sun. Lets just say the water was brisk! And wish there was a table for eating indoors and for game playing. Certainly not deal breakers. Would definitely stay again!

Tranquil!

Welcoming from the beginning with a beautiful arrangement of flowers on the kitchen island! We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. Exceeded our expectations with cleanliness, location, and spaciousness of house. Especially liked the large kitchen area. Beds were comfortable and living room/family room had plenty of seating. The pool area was wonderful -- plenty of seating and a great little bar area! Jeff was a great host , very responsive and prompt to our inquiries. He suggested places to go and helped us get in contact with someone for a pontoon boat ride on Gun Lake. We would definitely reccomend staying at this spacious getaway!

Wonderful vacation home!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here from the adults down to the kids! The basketball court was a huge hit when we weren’t in the pool. This home was exactly how it was described and was very kid friendly. On our first 2 rainy days, the kids spent lots of time playing ping pong in the garage which was cleaned up very well and safe for the kids to be in. We spent a lot of our down time on the upper level deck which was really nice since both the pool and court could be viewed. Jeff was kind, accommodating, and quick to respond every time. Our only wish during our stay was that the pool was heated. The water was really, really cold. The temp of the water was 70-72 degrees. Other than that, we give this home and Jeff, the host, 10/10!! We highly recommend staying here!

Great Family Vacation at Gun Lake Hideaway

Took our entire family to Michigan for a family vacation the week of July 17-24. Stayed in the South Gun Lake Hideaway. Just bring your cloths and food and you are all set! Everything else was provided! The house and pool were amazing. There are 6 adults and 3 children in our family. There was enough room for everyone to have their own space as well as their own bathroom. There was wood and a barrel to have a bonfire. The kids and adults enjoyed making smores! There is a ping pong table which we all enjoyed. There were basketballs (and a basketball court!), games, toys, pool noodles and floats for the pool.. The pool area is like a vacation resort but you don't have to share it with anyone! Outdoor furniture and lounge chairs as well as a high top table and chairs and a bar area with a mini fridge. We hiked over to Fish Lake which is just a short distance from the house, great to fish and we saw some people swimming and a pontoon boat. We also rented a pontoon boat and spent a day on Gun Lake. Took a short drive (about an hour) to Saugatuck where we did the Saugatuck Sand Dune ride and went to Oval beach. I highly recommend both. Don't miss going to Curly Cone near Gun Lake. Great food and even better ice cream and bakery goods. Try the "Hot Butter", so good!!! Jeff was an amazing host. He was always quick to respond to any questions we had. I can't say enough about the accommodations! We had a great time and definitely would stay there again!

Peaceful Place

We enjoyed our stay here,everything went smoothly allowing us to just sit back or play games or Swim,always something to do. Host was very friendly,informative he even drove me to two local fishing spots I would of never found. Thanks for that Jeff

Amazing Vacation Home Has It All

This beautiful home has it all!! Located on several acres of secluded land, this getaway offers something for everyone. From the moment you step inside, you are made to feel welcome. The home is spacious, and decorated in peaceful, calm tones. The kitchen is fully equipped, including some spices, coffee, dishes, utensils, soap, garbage bags, baggies, etc. The furniture was very clean and comfortable. The beds were wonderful and made for a great nights sleep. The master suite on the main floor had an amazing double walk in shower. The deck had ample seating for outdoor dining, with a gas grill, and overlooked the sparkling in-ground pool, basketball court, mature trees, meticulous landscaping and the tranquil sound of song birds. The pool area was so relaxing and serene, with outdoor furniture and a little pool bar equipped with a little refrigerator and a margarita/slushy machine. The lower level offers great seating for movies, a fully equipped weight room and laundry room, including laundry soap, etc. We had four adults and two little children in our party, and were pleasantly surprised to find games for all ages, toys and bunk beds for the kiddos. The property does extend across the street, is wooded and has a path that leads to an amazing lake, tucked away and perfect for relaxing, fishing or getting back to nature. The host was wonderful and so quick to respond to any questions or concerns. He provided us with awesome restaurant suggestions, local attractions and boat rental information. The home is perfect for a relaxing vacation, and is located near the Gun Lake community. After a few vacations to Myrtle Beach (beautiful, but very long car rides), this was a pleasant trip of only 4.5 hours from our Ohio home. I am very particular about the cleanliness of a home/resort, and this exceeded my expectations. My only regret is having our time spent at this wonderful place come to an end. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, we made many happy memories!!

Perfect location for a family getaway!

Although our trip was a short one we filled it with lots of things to do and made some great memories. We spent some time boating on Gun Lake, walked the path over to peaceful Fish Lake and enjoyed a day poolside with the family. A little game of basketball and some ping pong competition also. The house was fully stocked and clean. This is the perfect location for summertime fun whether you want to stay put or venture out. We will book again for a fall family golf outing!

Family Fun at Gun Lake

Perfect woodland setting for our large family gathering. We relaxed around the pool, enjoyed lawn games and meals on the spacious deck . Home was beautifully furnished and well equipped. Host Jeff was quick to respond to any questions/needs we had.

PERFECT Get-Away location for our family!

WOW! What a wonderful experience! Booking was easy! Communication with the owner Jeff was amazing! The house was as described and even more! The location is definitely in the country! Quiet! Private! Beautifully landscaped and decorated! It has everything we needed...just bring your food and clothing and you are set! We are grandparents...brought our adult children and spouses, along with grands! Oldest was 66...youngest 6 months! Pool was amazing! Basketball 🏀 court fun! Ping Pong competition in the garage! Fire 🔥 pit ring out back with wood ready to burn! Gas and charcoal grills for steaks/sausage and hot dogs/burgers! 2 refrigerators! Laundry room set up and stocked! Games and toys provided! Lots of outdoor seating! PERFECT vacation! We stayed 5 nights in Mid-June! Weather was perfect too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
