Bungalow-style beach home with outside hot tub jacuzzi only steps to a wonderful beach with perfect sand, available bathrooms, and showers. Short walk to the wonderfully charming Carlsbad Village with plenty of shops and restaurants! Surf it up, visit Legoland and the world-famous flower fields, or take a day trip to San Diego and Sea World! There's plenty to do all around, and even more if you're staying longer and willing to drive up to Orange County or LA.

Designed to perfection with an authentic beach-living vibe! 3Bd/2.5Ba with an office area, large kitchen/family room combo with TV, original wood plank flooring, on an oversized lot (7243 SF) with a private, quiet, tropical yard, with a huge covered patio to dine at, take a dip in the jacuzzi hot tub and relax - feels like paradise! The garden area is the coziest place in the world after a day at the beach.

Other things to note
Driveway parking for 3. There is an additional 1 bedroom guesthouse on the 2nd floor with its own bath and kitchen. For the time being, it is being rented out long-term to a working professional. The right parking spot on the lot is reserved for the tenant. You shouldn’t have any privacy issues as the guesthouse has a separate entrance along the side of the home, with the stairs leading upstairs outside in the backyard to the side. The two spaces are not connected internally, and the yard is private for guests of the large house only. There has never been a privacy issue or concern from our many past guests!

Up to 2 pets are allowed with a $250 pet fee.

Great location, 2 minute walk to beach. Tamarack is a busy road and there is some noise from upstairs tenant and the train. Kitchen is well stocked to make meals. Yard is wonderful for people and pets. Alex and Alexander are helpful and responsive. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

My friends and I stayed here to celebrate my sister’s 40th birthday weekend and loved it! The house was exceptionally clean, beds were SO comfortable, and the backyard is a dream! So much so that we had a sound healer come and host a sound bath in the backyard before we checked out - what a wonderful way to wrap up a relaxing weekend. We greatly appreciate the host’s responsiveness and flexibility with allowing us to have a sound bath and truly enjoy the space. We will be back! FYSA there is a tenant upstairs but we didn’t hear a peep from them or see them even once - do not let that steer you from this wonderful home! Highly recommend!

What a super house, the best VRBO we’ve stayed in! Very clean and well furnished, the primary bed was so comfortable and the room was nice and quiet. There was plenty of space to spread out and a well stocked kitchen. The host provided everything we needed and then some! The backyard was like a tropical paradise, so many beautiful plants and flowers, very private. The beach was a block and a half away and there was everything you need for a day at there, beach towels, chairs, umbrella, toys and a handy caddy to take everything there. A wonderful place to stay in Carlsbad.

Roomy, nicely appointed, comfortable for a family. The kitchen was well-equipped as was the beach shed. The backyard was a real plus, with shade, hammock and hot tub. The TV’s all had premium streaming channels. The beach is a short 1-12/ blocks away. The house was quiet, as it was not right on noisy Carlsbad Blvd. Everyone in my family wants to come back next year.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home, it was an easy 5min walk to the beach and a beautiful 15 minute walk to all kinds of restaurants! The AC was an added luxury for those warm afternoons and the tree covered backyard was a gorgeous retreat for our coffee mornings! The house was extremely clean and well laid out, it had everything we needed. The host was fantastic, he was attentive, courteous and fixed a few minor issue with in 20min of our arrival!! The only thing I would let anyone know who is renting this beautiful home is that the grill is not gas, It is charcoal, which was a new experience for us:) A huge added bonus was all of the sand accessories provided ….beach chairs, boogie boards, a few sand toys, and a cart to haul them all down to the beach. This was such an incredible luxury for us! We will be staying again soon !!

Our best VRBO experience yet!

The home is in the perfect location we rode our bikes down to the beach multiple times a day! only 2 min bike ride, 5 min walk just a few blocks away! they have all the beach gear you need. The house was very clean upon arrival and stocked with everything!We tracked with two children and it was very spacious had high chair and pack and okay accommodations. The backyard is the most beautiful oasis and we enjoyed relaxing in the horrible every night! The host was very accommodating and great at communicating as well as organized and had so many wonderful recommendations for restaurants and things to do! We have stayed in many VRBOs and this was by far our best experience! the train is loud but that's everywhere if you are staying close to the ocean. bring sound machine ear plugs etc to help. It didn't bother us much. Wouldn't change a thing. such a wonderful experience! can't wait to come back!

Best weekend EVER

Was looking for a nice, relaxing, place to stay near a beach for a weekend to destress from life. Alex’s place is by far the nicest VRBO I have ever stayed in. The backyard is an oasis, the house is SOOO nice, clean, love the layout. Brought my puppy along who equally loved the place as well especially the gorgeous backyard. I will absolutely be looking to book this place again! Thank you again Alex, wouldn’t change a thing =D

Excellent!!!

Tamarack beach house was exactly as described in the listing. As noted by other guests, the backyard was fabulous: spacious, lush and very private. The rental was just a short walk to the beach, immaculate, with plush amenities, comfy beds, and a very well-equipped kitchen. The host was very attentive, but not at all intrusive. Hope to return!

Fall break 2024

We had a wonderful stay Alex was great. His instructions were spot on. The home had lots of space for our entire family. There were six of us two dogs. The backyard worked out great for them. The spa was a delight after coming back from the beach. Make sure you clean your feet and all sand off and then it works out great. We stayed a week and it was awesome. Actually we probably will be back next year.. We couldn’t ask for anything else the home worked out great. We will be back. Oct. 6 thru 13 2024.

Charming gem!

Beautifully appointed 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath with all the comforts of home. Comfortable beds, lots of towels, clean and in excellent condition. Delightful outdoor areas with beautiful flowers. The host, Alex, was very accommodating and checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable. We had a lovely stay and will return.

Great place in great beach town

Our stay was wonderful! The house was very nice, three large bedrooms, nice big kitchen, the bathroom was nice and the beds were super comfy. We had seven people for Friendsgiving and we had everything we needed to cook. The house is just down the street from a beautiful beach that has a parking lot. Owners are very nice and very responsive. Would definitely recommend!

Carlsbad Near the Sea

House was clean and well equipped. Located on a street with an I-5 exit. Easy access but a bit more traffic. The third bedroom seemed bright in the morning so a sleep mask might be a good idea. Short walk to the beach. Tolerable walk into town if one is in good shape. Good place for a family get together. No complaints about the house.
