Expansive perennial professional gardens,( help yourself to vegetables in season) easy half mile walk through quiet neighborhood to large Good Harbor Beach. Wireless wifi reaches into backyard and deck. Close to restaurants, cafes, shops, museums, Eastern Point Lighthouse and numerous beaches. Walking distance to Rocky Neck artists colony and galleries. Large kitchen with water views, comfortable bedrooms, ocean breezes keep the house cool in summer with bedroom air conditioners. Wake up watching the ships sailing in the harbor, enjoy great scones from Cape Ann Coffee down the road or walk to Sailor Stan's for pancakes. Buy wholesale priced lobster fresh off the boat down the street at Captain Joe and Sons. Eat at The Lobster restaurant at the end of the street if you don't want to to cook. Spend the day at Good Harbor Beach, 1/2 mile away, swimming and walk out to Salt Island at low tide. Dine on the back deck watching the butterflies before sunset or eat out at one of the many outdoor restaurant patios in town. Go for a sunset sail on one of the local schooners,( you can see them from the house) maybe you'll see a seal or porpoise. I hope you do! Two excellent whale watch boats leave twice a day for great whale watching. Enjoy this great house with so many fun things to do at your doorstep- its the perfect beach vacation spot!

Quiet neighborhood is owner occupied and well maintained. Our large backyard is perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach or exploring the hiking trails in town.
This is our year round home so there will be some personal items in the house but most of the house is cleared out for summer renters.
Guests are provided with starter amounts of: toilet paper, paper towel, dish detergent, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, coffee and tea. If you use any other of the pantry staples, please replace them.
We use enhanced cleaning practices between guests and the entire house is aired out between guest bookings.
Beds are made and ready for your arrival with freshly laundered linens. The master bed is an organic Avocado split king with organic linens. The double bed is a fantastic Ikea mattress. A set of towels, including a beach towel, are ready for each registered guest.
Smoking is strictly forbidden in the house, on the porches or anywhere on the property. Guests will be fined and immediately evicted if there is any evidence of smoking found anywhere in this home or on the property. Please do not rent this house if you are a smoker! The owner is highly allergic to smoke and the residual odor that lingers on a smoker who would sit on furniture and stay in the home.
NO parties, events, performing artists or bands are allowed at any time. These are cause for immediate eviction with no refund and may damage our ability to offer the home for future guest exposing you to liability.
Cape Ann offers so many fun and interesting things to do in addition to our numerous beaches. Visit Eastern Point lighthouse and walk the Dog Bar jetty! Go on a whale watch, to tour historic houses or Hammond Castle, go deep sea fishing, on a schooner sail, a dinner cruise, hiking on our many wooded trails, Halibut Point State Park in Rockport, Shalin Lui theater in Rockport is a fantastic venue for concerts and is just 10 minutes away. Walk to the Gloucester Stage for theater from the house or check out a best kept secret: Windhover unique modern dance outdoor stage or dances staged at local quarries in Rockport. Or drive 50 minutes to Boston and go sightseeing!

Disclaimer: there is construction across the street where a new home is being built. I don't know if construction will be finished by September, 2025. Please inquire with your booking request and I will update about construction noise ( if any). It is likely by September, 2025 there will only be interior work being done across the street so noise should be minimal.
