wonderful place
We stayed at Bud and Caroline’s house in Watermill for a week and it was a perfect getaway home for my family – everything we needed.
The location was ideal. Watermill is at the center of everything. It was 5 minutes to the Jitney, 5 minutes to Southampton, 5 minutes to Bridgehampton, 15 minutes to Sag Harbor and 10 minutes by bike to Flying Point Beach.
The kitchen was well equipped, and the house is full of beautiful fabrics, colors, and detailing. Outside there is a private, fenced-in back yard where our kids and dog played. The kitchen opens to a back deck. We had amazing weather so many outdoor meals, taking advantage of the deck and grill. The pool was heated and has a great pool house, which served as a good retreat for our teenager and my folks looking for a little quiet. It would have made a perfect office … had we needed that. We actually used the AC, which we never expected to need in May. We had 4 drivers and 4 cars, all parked legally. There was a basement which we would have used for workouts, had the weather not cooperated so well.
This was a great little vacation. I hope we can do it every year.
