Convenient location with use of free van

Fantastic

We have a good time in this property. Very clean and organized. The house is relatively close to Waikiki. Having rented the van from the owners was very practical and beneficial. Only thing, getting out of the parking place will test your driving skills.

Great location for adventures

We had three couples staying at the rental to run the Honolulu Marathon and then have fun around the island. While I can't recommend the organization of the marathon, the house was excellent. It shows that they care about the place and work to maintain it. In fact Glen had found a problem as he was setting up for our arrival and had his handyman come by to fix it, after notifying us he would be there. Glen was great about communicating and the house was well stocked with the basics. He got us fresh beach towels and made sure we had access to all the water sports items we might need. One of the couples has dietary restrictions, so Glen let us send a box of their food ahead of time and had it waiting for us in the rental. Very convenient. This rental is behind his other rental, but other than the long narrow driveway, we didn't notice the other house or the guests there. Very quiet neighborhood, but with a great view and not too far to groceries or downtown. We spent a lot of time out on the large porch enjoying the view and using the grill out there. The washer/dryer outside by the front entrance was very handy and we used it several times. One of my friends fell in love with the ukelele that was in the house and we took it with us as we toured the island, our own personal musician. He purchased a ukelele once we got back home. The house has a lot of nice touches, and we all agreed it was a great choice to hit all of our island activities. We also rented Glen's Honda minivan included with this rental, and it was perfect for driving around the island. It ran well and had a few scratches from previous renters that he was sure to document so that we would not be blamed for them. Plenty of room for six adults and our associated baggage. I have been raving about this stay since I got back and recommend it to anyone who is going to Oahu who wants to be near Honolulu, but not stuck in the touristy areas.

Great stay!

Glen and his home is amazing! They were so kind and were quick to respond to all our questions. We were a family of 9 (including a toddler) and we found the amenities more than enough. There were lots of baby things available that we barely had to bring any of ours! The balcony has a great view and we even caught a glimpse of the fireworks on Fridays. Thanks again Glen and family!

A perfect spot in paradise!

Situated in the St. Louis neighborhood overlooking Honolulu from Diamond Head across the entire city, this home is a destination in itself on Oahu. In minutes you can be on Waikiki Beach or hiking through the jungle to a secluded waterfall. It was the perfect place for our family and friends to relax and plan the next day's adventure. We found the home and its amenities to meet or exceed the online descriptions. The covered outdoor space and views were captivating. We look forward to our next trip here! Thanks to the owners for making it available!

While not luxurious, it was perfect for our family of five adults!

It truly was a home away from home with everything we could possibly need all provided! Even the mini van! That was a great bonus! We loved having our meals on outdoor covered deck relishing the gorgeous view! Glen and Lara are the perfect hosts! Very responsive from beginning to end! Oh! Washer and dryer were also a great help!

Awesome views and very comfortable settings

Glen and Lara (hosts) were very nice and very friendly. They are the "hostess with the mostess" Property was well maintained, clean, and very spacious...couldn't ask for a more better place to stay in Oahu. Definitely recommend it to any family visiting. Also, we will definitely look at staying there for our future stays.

Great home away from home!

Glen & Lara are the most responsive owners that we have ever worked with! So refreshing to receive prompt responses to inquiries, regardless of the time. This home was perfect for our family of 10. The perfect home away from home!

As one who grew up not far from this home, I wanted my family to have the Honolulu experience I've always loved. Glen and Lara's Ocean View Diamond Head delivered in every way. The central location made it easy to come and go, especially with the inclusion of the Honda Odyssey van. The awesome views blew away even this Honolulu native. The home was clean and well appointed, providing a comfortable base for our family of five adults. The Robinsons were immediately responsive to any questions or concerns we had and made our stay effortless. A delightful experience!!!

Super excellent service!!

Three families lived together at OVDH and kids attended punahou summer school. Each room has bath room and keep the privacy. We enjoyed to stay at OVDH for a week. Especially viewing from the lanai is super. Glen kindly respond very quickly, even if he goes to mainland. I would like to come back again and defenitelly recommend for everyone.

A wonderful experience

We stayed at Glen and Lara's place for a week. The number of rooms worked out great for us as we have three kids. The bedroom downstairs has its own bath and is a nice private one for the second couple. The place is conveniently located, near the freeway entrance, shops, and Waikiki beach. The views of Diamond Head, the city, and water are quite lovely. We enjoyed having our our meals on the balcony. Glen and Lara are responsive and friendly. Being able to rent the van is a huge plus. Our kids loved the beaches and there are plenty of beach gear at the house. It was a great experience for all of us.

Great location, Great amenities

What a great experience. Less than 2 miles from wakiki beach. Great views. Pictures are accurate. We were eight in out party. 5 adults and 3 kids. We enjoyed our time greatly. Felt like home away. Great amenities - gas grill, car seats, baby crib, beach towels, netflix in every room, washer and dryer, beach chairs, and many more. Amenities minimized extra expenses.
