Why Rhonda Gannon chose Marineland Acres
This location was chosen by my Mom, who was able to see the beauty and the serenity this community offers. People are warm and welcoming. Watching the sunrise over the ocean in the early morning will surely renew your spirit in all that is beautiful and magical. With so many world class attractions a stones throw away, you feel as though you have your own private resort home in this beautiful community of beach homes.
What makes this House unique
We love all the water sports close at hand. We also love to go into St. Augustine to enjoy dinner or browse the historic sites and shops. Hiking and biking along the many trails of coastline are a favorite pastime as well. Although the home is located about 300 ft. from the ocean, the Intra-coastal Waterway is within a short walk or bike ride.

A Much Needed Respite in a Wonderful Home
We had a wonderful stay at this property. My wife and I share the same birthday week and chose this location to relax with our two dogs and consider the area as a future retirement destination. The house was great. It had everything we needed as previous reviewers noted. The location was perfect for walking the short distance to the dog-friendly beach and enjoying pleasant afternoons on the first-floor deck. We didn't make use of the top floor, which included 2 additional bedrooms, a master bath, and a cozy "Florida Room" with a balcony. There's plenty of room to spread out for larger families. It felt more like we were staying with family than renting.
What would I want to know before renting? The area is an eclectic collection of individually styled homes. Some are quite impressive, while others are more...modest. There are also several lots for sale that range in price by proximity to the beach. We noticed a bit of standing water in low areas and ditches. I'm not sure if this is the norm or an anomaly. The surrounding parks and undeveloped lands made it feel a bit isolated, especially at night, but I think that's part of the draw for many of the people that live there. We found two local eateries that were excellent. Captain's BBQ and JT's Seafood Shack--both on A1A within 2 miles-- both were awesome and surprisingly affordable. Palm Coast shopping and dining around I-95 was also just a short drive. Cruising up and down A1A, there are plenty of places to dine and eat with local flair. For bikers, walkers, and runners; there is a paved sidewalk/trail that skirts around A1A for miles, which is just at the end of the street. Lastly, the beach is typical of the Atlantic coast. A bit more rocky with ground seashells than the sugary white sands of the gulf coast, but quite nice at the water's edge and for going on long beach-side strolls. Overall, a great place to stay with plenty of things to do for the entire family.
Family of 5 ; Great house; leisurly walk of 1 minute to the beach ;
This was our first vacation rental and we certainly lucked out. It is a great location, the house is in great repair and is super comfortable, has all the services and the area is fantastic.
Couldn’t have been more perfect. House has everything necessary to have a quiet night in and has plenty of local options for a night out. Conveniently located steps from the beach and a half hour from St. Augustine.
Clean, lovely, spacious beach house that feels like family
The images and description may not do this home justice. It is well maintained, VERY well stocked - everything from linens to toiletries to kitchen items to an amazing array of beach chairs, toys, you name it - even the outdoor shower has hot water! Plus, it is clean - cleaner than many rentals we have had - so we were very comfortable. This home was more than enough room for our family of four and our new four-legged addition. Each room, apart from the master, has a balcony and there are ocean views everywhere! The dog-friendly beach was beautiful, often deserted, and our pup had the time of his life meeting new friends. From the sunrise walks on the beach to the local nature walks to exploring one of our favorite cities of St. Augustine, we couldn't have asked for a better rental. Wifi was great as we did have to keep up with clients during our stay and the entire home was well maintained. Rhonda was very communicative and accommodating - a true gem. All in all, this was a wonderful break from life's hectic pace that was made all the more comfortable by this home in Marineland Acres. Thank you for sharing your home, Rhonda. It truly felt more like a visit to a family home than a sterile rental house.
Thank You for choosing our home to vacation with your family. We hope you will come back again to enjoy the beauty and serenity of our beach town
