This home was an excellent place to stay for our mountain vacation. The house was clean and as advertised. This house provides great Mountain View’s and was an easy drive to several locations.
We very much enjoyed our stay. I loved sitting on the front porch and enjoying the birds. I loved the flowers and nature sounds. We drove up the mountain to Elk knob Park as well.
We appreciated the quiet and the beautiful birds at the feeder. It was lovely to be able to relax on the front porch in the swing every afternoon/evening!
It was the perfect place for our little family getaway for the weekend. Super close to everything but in a remote location that makes you feel 1,000,000 miles away . I highly recommend.
The house was nothing like the picture. It was back in the woods beside an old house with trash piled and the porch and the bushes all grown around it. There was someone with a huge fire on the side of the yard. I was instantly afraid and we did not get out of our vehicle. It was terrible and I want my money back and I will never use vrbo again!!!!!

The pictures we have posted are our exact property, view, and house. Every other review confirms this and appreciates this fact. I‘m not sure if you mean our porch and bushes, we have someone come every 2 weeks to take care of our yard. And we do have mint growing wild all around our porch, but we love the smell and to use it to garnish drinks. We do share a driveway with another house. We have never heard of a fire over there or seen one ourselves, but we do know it had finally rained enough for it to be safe to have a burn pile. We cannot control what neighbors decide to do. All of our neighbors are wonderful and have helped multiple guests with various things. One neighbor even baked fresh bread for guests celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. We pride ourselves in being transparent and love to share our beautiful, woodsy and quiet 3 acre property with anyone looking for an affordable get away!
Tranquility Paradise has amazing views! The house is welcoming and cozy and the paneling and original cabinet's of the house give it a lot of charm. The area is quiet and peaceful. Linens and towels were great!
Beautiful modern cabin. Had everything we need. Very quiet and beautiful scenery. A bit of a drive from app state but we enjoyed the beautiful drive up the mountain! Would stay here again for sure.
The cabin itself was nice and had all the necessities. My husband and I recommend an upgrade of the mattress in the master bedroom; the softness of the current one left me with a backache and him a little stiff. We truly enjoyed the mountain view, and the proximity to other mountain attractions.
We had a really good time. It was a really nice place to stay. The host are very nice people and helped is out when our plans changed a litt bit.The place was right about in the middle of the different places we had to be at, so it worked very well. Thanks for a great stay.
The property was amazing with the Mountain View’s , it was very quiet and relaxing we will definitely be back

We are a family of 5 and when my husband retires from the Marine Corps in 4 years, we wanted a small piece of heaven in the mountains of North Carolina. We love using it as a vacation home and sharing its cozy charm and peacefulness with visitors.
Why they chose this property
Rich Mountain Cabin was the perfect choice for us because it's less than 20 minutes from the amenities that downtown Boone has to offer-great restaurants, games at Appalachian State, greenway trails, indoor aquatic center, and playgrounds, but it feels worlds away from the quick pace of today's life. Besides the occasional car driving by on the gravel road, the only thing you can hear from the porch is the water flowing in the river down the hill and the birds chirping. We are close to some of our favorite hikes at Moses Cone and along the Blue Ridge Parkway and Elk Knob State Park is 5 minutes up the mountain. We also enjoy fishing and tubing down the New River. The fact that is backs up to Elk Knob Game Land means it will continue to be pristine and quiet.
