Carrot Top Cottage surrounded by National Park

Tucked in middle of Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, Carrot Top Cottage is just steps off the Appalachian Trail and a short walk to the world-renowned attractions of Harpers Ferry.

Enjoy the history and natural beauty of Harpers Ferry from your own well-appointed private cottage with all the comforts of home. Play in the spacious backyard, relax around the firepit, or read a book on the wrap-around porch that looks out over the grounds of the National Park headquarters.

The Cottage is designed to sleep up to 4 adults with the king bed and full-size bed. The futon in the loft is great for kids but we don't recommend it for an adult.

The cottage is perfect. It feels like you are stepping into someone’s immaculately decorated guest house for the weekend. It is within walking distance to everything in Harper’s Ferry but if you wanted to skip it all this would be the house to do nothing in. A beautiful front porch, woods and a meadow to look at with deer and groundhogs making daily appearances. Or if you wanted to hike the AT, it’s less than 100 yards away. The Carrot Top Cottage was a dream spot for our family of 5 and our kids were so bummed to go home.

As soon as we entered the Carrot Top Cottage, we felt completely at home. The cottage is a perfect mix of cozy charm and modern convenience. We enjoyed cooking several meals in the well-stocked kitchen, relaxed each night with wine on the porch, and also in the comfy living room. Walking distance to downtown area and Appalachian Trail. Absolutely a great place and location. Our plans completely changed after getting 6” of snow and then a deep freeze, but we were comfortable and were able to prepare all our meals with the equipment and utensils provided. Communication was great, check in easy and no extravagant check out demands. Can’t wait to come back

We had a marvelous time during our stay at Carrot Top Cottage. The cottage was lovely with everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was beautifully decorated and well stocked with essentials. Our hosts, Cathy and Bryan were available but not intrusive and communicated with all essential information. The location could not have been better. I would definitely recommend this particular place should you wish to explore and spend some time in the Harper's Ferry area. We loved it !
