Thanks for taking the time to check out my house. I am a photographer and a home renovation geek. I bought this house which was a diamond in the rough. To make the space consistent with the way people now live, I opened up the first floor to make for a very social and inviting space. I have put countless hours of sweat equity into the house to make it what it is today. Please be respectful as it is more than just a typical rental property.
Jay purchased this House in 2012
Why Jay chose Harpers Ferry
A friend who lives in town introduced me to Harpers Ferry about ten years ago. There are amazing hiking trails, swimming spots, fishing holes, vegetable stands, flea markets, antique shops and civil war sites. This is a wonderful, beautiful and peaceful community.
What makes this House unique
The house is located in the historic part of town know as Camp Hill. It is walking distance to the shops and sites of lower town as well as the train station. even on the busiest of summer days in town it stays quiet up here. you can sit out on the front porch in the swing and read a book, listen to the wind chimes and enjoy a cold drink.

Everything was perfect! The house was clean, location great, and communication was easy! We look forward to booking this house in the future!
Comfy and clean
The house is spacious and well appointed. In the midst of a remodel, but still clean and the work being done is meticulous. Beds are very comfortable and bathrooms had good lighting and water pressure.
Close to historic Harper’s Ferry so you can walk everywhere. AT access a block away. Thanks Jay!
Amazing location! Centrally located to the town and all hiking trails.
We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property was clean and had everything we needed to make our stay an enjoyable one. Thank you!
Cozy, comfortable, great location.
The Spy House provided a wonderful place to stay in Harpers Ferry. Right in Historic Harpers Ferry, only minutes from restaurants, hiking, history. The owner, Jay, was extremely helpful, friendly and responsive. The house was very comfortable, even in this summer's heat. We loved the kitchen and the open concept. Jay is continuing with renovations to this gem which will only make future stays even more wonderful.
Nicely renovated old house just up the hill from historic district
Very nice location, would have been perfect if the weather hadn't been extremely hot (>100F) the whole weekend. The house is in nice shape, the owner is still completing some renovations (I believe this fall) that will make it even nicer. The heat made the walk to and from the historic district down the hill very taxing, but in any other weather it should be very easy. Check in/out was easy and good communication from the owner. Hope to rent again on a more temperate weekend!
