If you are concerned about my lack of reviews, please know that I have just recently listed on VRBO after many years as a Super Host on Airbnb.
Step back into the 1950's at this authentic mid-century modern gem on a quiet cul-de-sac in Palm Springs’ historic Racquet Club Estates. Surrounded by beautifully preserved Alexander homes, it’s the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway that still keeps you close to all the action. Take a morning walk through the clean, quiet neighborhood or head two blocks over to Victoria Park, where you’ll find sprinklers, jungle gyms, chirping birds, and plenty of space to stretch out.
Inside, the open-concept layout creates a light and airy vibe, with many sliding glass doors letting in sunshine and easy access to the pool area. The home includes three bedrooms—two with king beds and one with a queen—each with cozy memory foam toppers and fresh linens for a great night’s sleep. There are two full bathrooms, and the original kitchen is well-equipped for everything from home-cooked meals to pancake breakfasts or quick snacks between pool sessions.
The living room features a 50” Roku TV with all your favorite streaming apps (but honestly, the mountain view steals the show). The décor blends colorful vintage pieces with mid-century and contemporary design—think Dwell magazine with a playful twist.
Out back, the oversized 10,000+ square foot yard is where this place really shines. The pool is huge, heated on request, and completely surrounded by 10-foot hedges for total privacy. Whether you’re sunbathing, barbecuing, playing lawn games, or soaking in the hot tub under the stars, it’s the kind of space that brings people together. The chimenea is perfect for a cozy fire or s’mores, and there’s plenty of room to spread out for meals, games, remote work, or simply relaxing with a mountain view.
You’re just a 10-minute drive from the airport and only two minutes from downtown Palm Springs. Grab coffee, explore the vintage shops, stroll through art galleries, or hop on the famous Aerial Tramway. The home is close to everything, but far enough away to feel like your own private retreat.
Whether you’re a family looking to reconnect, a group of friends on a sun-drenched escape, or a design lover seeking that perfect retro vibe, this home offers a little something for everyone—with privacy, comfort, and space to truly unwind.
-= CITY RULES =-
The City of Palm Springs has VERY strict requirements for short-term vacation rentals. There can be absolutely NO music outside or loud noise coming from inside the property. This is true for all vacation rentals in the city.
The city requires that you provide me with an image of your photo ID (license/passport) when booking. This is not optional and is required for all short-term rentals in Palm Springs. VRBO does not and will not share your ID with me.
The city requires that someone greet you at the home on arrival. Since COVID, I prefer to do that via video call (facetime/zoom). If you can’t video call I can send my manager but if he’s busy on the day you'd like to arrive I might have to cancel. Please contact me directly before booking if you have any questions.
The city requires that you provide the license plate numbers of all vehicles staying at the property. Parking is available for up to three cars in the driveway. Street parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis; however, only 3 cars are permitted on-site per city ordinance.
The city imposes a TOT and TBID tax that will be calculated into your final price but pool heating and the pet fee are not. A $100 per-night pool heat is optional. You must decide when booking as it takes at least 24-48 hours to heat the large pool. Please contact me directly when booking if you'd like the pool heated.
I welcome responsible pet owners of a single dog that’s under 25 pounds. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture, in the beds, pool, or spa - sorry, NO exceptions and you must clean up any doggie doo in the yard before you leave. Please contact me directly when booking if you are traveling with your dog. Please note that there is an additional fee of $50 if I accept your pet due to the housecleaning requirements.

I was born in Pennsylvania but have lived in Los Angeles for over 30 years. Palm Spring is one of my favorite places in So Cal. I'm a very active traveler and love playing beach volleyball, hiking in the desert and riding my bike whenever I can.
Por qué eligió esta propiedad
I bought my home in 2014 as an oasis during the most difficult time in my life. I didn’t know anything about Alexander homes or vacation renting. I just loved the desert and needed a place to disappear, slow down, and recoup for a while. After getting back on my feet a few years later I moved back to Los Angeles and decided to open the house up to others in hopes that it might do for them what it did for me. I know it shows its age in places but I continue to upgrade and improve it whenever I can. It is a labor of love for me and I hope that shines through some of its age.
Qué distingue a esta propiedad
The Racquet Club Estates is a historic community designed by famed architect William Krisel and constructed in the mid-1950s and early 60s by the Alexander Construction Company founded by George Alexander and his son Robert. The houses were originally built as second or vacation homes for A-list celebrities and the well-off residing in Los Angeles at that time.
Alexander homes have a classic, mid-century modern look designed for ease of indoor-outdoor living with spaces that seamlessly flow into one another to create “the perfect ambiance for poolside entertaining” - or so they were advertised. To keep costs low, the houses were pre-fabricated, giving each a common floor plan - it is said that if you walk one Alexander, you’ve walked them all.
Even so, Krisel wanted to ensure that the neighborhood didn’t feel repetitive so he designed 3 different roofline options - the “Flattop” with a flat roofline (my home); the “A-Frame” with a roof that peaks in the center; and the “Butterfly” the quintessential Palm Springs roofline that rises at either corner of the home. As you walk/drive the neighborhood you can easily identify each.
