OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
Palm Springs Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) & Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) assessment: Palm Springs requires all vacation rental owners to collect a 11.5% TOT and 1% TBID tax on all rentals that are 28 days or less. This is in addition to the rental fee and it will be a separate line item in the breakdown of your booking fees.
Stays of 29+ days (28+ nights): there is no city TOT and TBID tax.
Pool and jacuzzi heating: Due to the high cost of heating the pool, there is an optional $75/day fee. This is recommended October through May, though heating is available year-round. Please note it can take a full day to heat the pool, so please let us know if you would like it heated prior to your arrival. Heating the jacuzzi is complimentary but please turn the heat off after use.
Pets: we love and welcome our furry friends! Our insurance restricts certain breeds/sizes. Please provide details prior to booking
Security: The property is equipped with exterior security cameras that face the front and side of the house. No cameras are placed inside the house or in the backyard. Security cameras may be used to verify compliance with rental policies.
HOUSE & CITY OF PALM SPRINGS RULES
No smoking allowed: If inside smoking is detected, a $500 fee will be assessed or the actual smoke-removal and/or damage repair expenses, whichever is greater.
Being a Good Vacation Rental Neighbor: All guests must adhere to the Palm Springs city rules. The following Ordinance measures are for all licensed short-term rentals in Palm Springs.
• The guest booking the home must be an occupant of the home throughout the booking period and must provide us with a photo of their government ID.
• All guests must be at least 25 years old unless accompanied by a parent/guardian.
• A separate contract is required to complete this booking. The contract will be sent for electronic completion via email outside the VRBO platform.
• The max overnight occupancy for this home is 7 people, with one of them being an infant. The max daytime occupancy for this home is 10 people.
• No more than 3 cars are permitted at the home at any time.
• No outdoor music is permitted at any time from any format. Indoor music should not be audible outside the home. Nighttime (quiet) hours are 10 pm to 10 am.
• Should the city's Code Enforcement Office receive noise complaints from neighbors, they will come to the home and you will be subject to fines of up to $1,000 and/or eviction from the home with no refund.
• Parties and events are not permitted.
