"The Bow Sprit" is a beautiful studio part of the original 1826 Dockhouse that once made up this entire building. The sliding door next to the bed opens up to the ocean & dock making this suite perfect for a relaxing getaway!
This unit offer guests a spectacular view of Southwest Harbor and has space outdoors to watch the ships come in the evening

The Bow Sprit sits on a working harbor filled with beautifully colored lobster and sail boats. This is the true Maine. All of this is located less than a mile from Acadia National Park and 12 miles from Bar harbor on the "Quiet Side" of Mt Desert Island.

Southwest Harbor

Adorable cozy room on the docks. Great view of the Harbor. Southwest Harbor was such a nice place away from the tourist crowds in Bar Harbor. 25 minute drive to Acadia was easy. We spent 3 days/2nights liking/biking Acadia but returned to Southwest Harbor do the evening and meals. There was a leak in the ceiling during a rain storm. Property management responded immediately stating damage had been done during recent hurricane and repairs attempted. Planning on further repairs.

Unique and cozy spot!

My husband and I stayed here for a few days and really enjoyed our stay. The whole space is well designed and while it is small, it had everything we needed! We loved watching the changing tides and sitting on the deck in the sunshine.

Super Cute in Amazing Location

We LOVED our stay, looking out over the water and eating meals on the pier. The BowSprit was small but very cute and had everything we needed for a romantic getaway. It was extremely clean. We loved returning from out days out exploring Acadia and coming back to our wonderful room.

Compact and comfortable

This tiny but well-organized space has a lovely sunset view and water just steps away. Convenient access by walk or bike to Southwest harbor. Owner was very quick to respond to questions. Would stay here again!
