Spectacular ocean front views! You can't get any closer to the beach than this classic ocean front Cannon Beach home. Absolutely the best location in Cannon Beach. Enjoy the rustic charm of this classic home located on the beach in mid town just steps to many of the great Cannon Beach restaurants, shops, and pubs. Short walk to Haystack Rock and downtown Cannon Beach. Original Knotty Pine and Cedar throughout the home. Recent upgrades include refinished hardwood and new tile flooring, new Pottery Barn furniture, new kitchen and bathroom quartz counter tops, new stainless steel appliances with double oven, new windows, new heaters and electrical, and new siding. Generous space with 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Ocean front and beach front views from most of the rooms in the house. Enjoy storm watching and sunny days while sitting in front of a crackling fire in the river rock fireplace or in the ocean front sun room. Well equipped kitchen with all the amenities you will need. Huge patio overlooking the beach and ocean for enjoying the spectacular views, relaxing in the sun, barbecues , or people watching. Please note that the master bathroom has a bathtub only with a shower wand for rinsing off and does not have a full stand up shower. It's a little rough around the edges but you won't find a more charming, comfortable, and spacious family home anywhere in Cannon Beach. I love this house! "Rustic charm" is a great description. Fantastic views, fantastic location right on the sand. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Well stocked with everything we needed. Clean and feels like a home away from home. I hope we'll be back next year!

Location is absolutely perfect to watch the sun set over the water or literally step out onto the sand. Kids loved to run around on the beach. Town is only a block away. Home was clean and simple, no-frills but everything we needed for a super comfortable stay. Home is more spacious than in photos. Kinda wish the furniture on the enclosed porch was a bit more comfortable but couches in adjoining living room were very cozy. We all loved it, ages 5 to 75! Obviously a very cherished home! We would love to come back for another stay in the future.

Property is a bit worn,as many people have written,but as they have also written, it’s a wonderful place to stay. Fantastic location, well maintained, and an incredible view (ocean is literally a couple hundred feet away from the house at high tide). A perfect place for a large family gathering or ?. This rustic property sits in a truly dreamy location that overlooks Haystack rock and Cannon Beach. The property had more than enough space and amenities to accommodate our group of 6 adults and an 1.5 year old. Like a lot of properties on the Oregon coast, it is on the older side - but everything functioned well and the decor is charming. Would definitely stay again!

Why they chose this property

Our family purchased this wonderful 1940's ocean front home from the original owner in the late 1960's and has now been passed down to the second generation. We purchased it because of of the spectacular location, the incredible views, the generous space needed for a large family, and the unique charm of the house. It is truly a real "Beach House" and not a "poseur" like many of the homes that are now built in Cannon Beach. It will soon be passed down to the the third generation and we hope that it will continue to remain in our family for many years to come.
