Welcome to your new home away from home! This charming three-bedroom, one-bath rental is a haven of comfort and style. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Boyne City, it offers the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience.

Location:

Situated just minutes away from Avalanche Preserve (birding, hiking, mountain biking, ice skating), and Boyne Mountain Resort (golfing, skiing, biking, ziplining and waterpark). A five-mile paved bike trail to Boyne Mountain is just blocks away from this location.

This rental provides easy access to Lake Charlevoix for swimming and watercraft activities. Nearby parks including Whiting County Park and Young State Park provide great options for swimming and sunbathing. Peninsula beach is a public beach near downtown which offers a splash pad for children. The Rotary City Park offers free access for skateboarding, pickleball and tennis activities.

Stroll the streets on Friday nights (June-August) to listen and dance to musicians playing on every street corner. On Saturday mornings visit the Farmers Market to find local flavors, fresh produce, honey, maple syrup, baked goods, fish, etc.

OCCUPANCY: This home comfortably accommodates four guests. The bedroom on the first floor is reserved for guest(s) who are unable to navigate stairs and/or need closer access to a bathroom. In special circumstances, extra guests are allowed but must be approved by host. If permission is not requested and/or granted, guests will be charged $100 for each person each night - no exceptions.

Great host great house. The house was nicely a/c upstairs and down. Close to everything downtown, restaurants, shopping, and bike trails. Avalanche mountain just 2 blocks away. Everything boyne has to offer. Highly recommend.

The only issue we had was concern of the slippery shower? We didn't feel very safe in the shower as the floor was very slippery. Overall the home was fantastic.

Maier’s Boyne Vacation

Spent two weeks in Boyne at a wonderful VRBO property. Played lots of golf, enjoyed the many restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful northern MI area. Our rental was a lovely older home that has been recently renovated. The kitchen and bath are particularly well done and there is also a comfortable living room and BR on the first floor. There is also a laundry with washer and dryer and an additional room with a 2nd TV. Upstairs are two more BR’s. The property is within walking distance of downtown Boyne making it perfect evening walk for ice cream!

Pretty good stay

The house itself was nicely decorated and contemporary. The kitchen and the bathroom were newly renovated and looked very nice. Marilyn was a great host and very accommodating. She went the extra mile to make sure that our stay was good. My only complaint was that the stairs were treacherous to go up and down on and the upstairs rooms were a bit hot. The air conditioning didn't work well up there. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

Comfortable house for a family

We had a wonderful stay at the house. It was spacious for our family of 4 and really well equipped compared to some other places. The place was really clean and the owners were very available to answer questions. I had to work during our stay and I used the bonus room at the back of the house while everyone else watched tv. It worked great. We would definitely stay here again if we go back to the area. We appreciated the info about the stairs in other reviews but this was not an issue for us at all. We ate in the whole time and the kitchen worked great for us. It was a wonderful short getaway to the north. We skied at Boyne Mountain and it is only 10 minutes away.

Quaint, updated house close to downtown

Our stay was excellent. The house is very nicely updated and only a few blocks from downtown Boyne City. We regularly walked or road our bikes to nearby parks, beaches, shops, and restaurants. The owners live nearby and were very responsive before and during our stay. They even welcomed us with fresh flowers and pastries - very thoughtful! The only negative we experienced was with regard to the bedrooms. The listing wasn't clear that the bathroom is on the main floor and the bedrooms are upstairs which meant a walk up and down a narrow and somewhat steep flight of stairs during the night to use the bathroom. For families with little kids (like ours) or elderly this might not be ideal. Also, I would agree with another reviewer that the AC just doesn't quite make it to the upstairs bedrooms very well and on warm nights it was a bit toasty. Overall though we had a great visit and would recommend this house and the owners!

Amazing stay!

We came up north for family photos. We usually stay in petoskey but couldn’t find anything on short notice. This house is a gem and the hosts were incredibly accommodating. The downtown area is walkable and full of restaurants and shops. The charming neighborhood was gorgeous with all the fall colors! We would highly recommend this property ❤️

We live in Boyne City and enjoy the quaintness of a small town. We enjoy gardening, boating, skiing, golfing and attending local events. At some point in our life's journey, we thought owning a Bed and Breakfast (B&B) place would be pretty cool since we both enjoy meeting people, cooking, entertaining and sharing our knowledge of local events and adventures. Hosting a home through VRBO provides an opportunity for us to offer guests a similar experience without giving up our daily routines and interests. Although we are always available to offer suggestions and answer questions, we certainly respect the privacy of our guests at all times.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The rental home is located in a safe neighborhood. We have ample parking for vehicles. The yard is large to enjoy outside activities such as Frisbee, corn hole, etc. Guests can easily walk to town to enjoy parades, fireworks, restaurants and beaches. Biking and walking trails are just a few blocks from the house.

Location, location, location. Park your car and walk to various restaurants and attractions just blocks away. Unlike many rentals in the area, we live nearby and can address any issues immediately during your stay. Our rental is very clean and furnished with comfortable beds and seating areas. Although most of the home has been updated, some areas were left untouched to retain some of the farm house uniqueness.
