About this property

The Cottage Revisited... in the Heart of a Small Midwestern Beach Town

Life can be more like Mayberry when relaxing at this beautifully maintained 2-story, 3-bedroom, 1920 Victorian cottage. Sip your morning coffee on the front porch, or beside the fireplace on cool days. Hike in the nature reserve just down the street. Pack a picnic lunch and head to the beach. Afternoon tea or hot chocolate at Steamers Coffee Shop, or ice cream from the Frosty Moose? Both are just steps away from the front door. Dinner in or out? The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare your favorite meal, and highly-rated restaurants are down the street, or a short drive away. After dinner grab a book from the home library and relax on the couch in the back garden under large Maples, or break out the board games or Cornhole boards.
Everything you need or want for a fun and relaxing vacation is here at the cottage or a short walk away, making it ideal for those who strive to live simply and shop locally.

About the host

Hosted by Colleen Foley

Host profile image
HI. I'm Colleen, and together with my husband, Brian, we welcome you to our 1920 Cottage at the Bay. We enjoy simple, minimalist living, gardening, hiking, riding bikes, cooking great food, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with family and friends.

Why they chose this property

We have great memories of our childhood vacations spent in cottages sprinkled throughout the Midwest, where our days consisted of early morning dips in the bay; bacon and egg breakfasts with silver-dollar pancakes on the side; fried fish for lunch, caught by dad that morning; jumping off the piers over and over again; playing board games with cousins 'til way past our bedtimes; and before-bed ghost stories around the bonfire.

What makes this property unique

Within minutes of stepping foot out the door, you'll find an organic grocery store, deli, coffee and wine shop, a bike rental company, an award-winning salon and day spa, multiple restaurants, including Cafe Calamari and Pier 290, ice cream shops, water sport equipment rental, the boat launch, the Summer Farmer's Market, a play ground, and of course, Williams Bay Beach. Golf, Horseback Riding, Hunting and more are also just a short drive away.

It is our hope that our cottage becomes the setting of some of your best memories. With that in mind, we have filled our Welcome Book with tips and suggestions to help you make the most of your stay. Don't hesitate to reach out to us should you have any questions or concerns.
