If you are staying on Kauai there is not a better location then right in Hanalei. Voted one of the top beaches in the world it truly is one of the most beautiful places you will ever visit. As for homes in Hanalei, you will not find any home like this one. A custom 4500 square foot home with very unique woodwork and artistic flair. The open upstairs floor plan is a wide open area of 2400 square feet (the living room is larger than most homes in Hanalei). Custom Ohi'a beams and Tiki carved beams throughout the house accentuate the Island paradise. Located on a very quiet cul-de-sac in the heart or Hanalei. This is a prime location, just 700 feet from the world class beach of Hanalei bay and equally close to the town center of Hanalei. The house is at the end of a long driveway so there is plenty of privacy. Listen to the crashing winter surf, or island birds just outside your window. Partial ocean and mountain views from the deck, kitchen and living room. High speed redundant WiFi Permit# TVNC-1241 GET#W32485501-01

About Greg Pronko
We love Hanalei and purchased this home to be able to enjoy it throughout the year. We use the home 4-5 times a year ourselves. So unlike most vacation home owners we are constantly upgrading the home and keeping it maintained against the elements. We know the island well and can help make sure you have an enjoyable stay. Our goal is not to maximize profits but to make sure the right people find the right place to stay even if that means suggesting other places to stay. Mahalo, Greg & Jenny

Why Greg Pronko chose Hanalei
This is the Number 1 beach in all of America. It is one of the most beautiful places on earth and so easy to get to compared to other similar destinations like Tahiti, Bali, Thailand, Vietnam etc. We bought this home because we love to surf and be healthy. Hanalei is perfect for enjoying the outdoors, whether you are surfing, paddleboarding, hiking, canoeing, kayakiing, golfing, running, biking, etc. It is also quiet and relaxing to the soul. The food here is one of the main attractions for us. We skip all the conventional stores and eat almost entirely off of local produce when we come to Hanalei. It is our 'detox' from our stressful lives in San Francisco. Eating live real food grown fresh and organically on the island is amazing. Both the fruits and vegetables seem to have more nutrients and flavor then anything we have had from a conventional store. For protein we also stay local... The Hanalei Fish Market has fresh daily caught fish straight from local water, and they are also now selling local Kauai Beef that is raised humanely on a beautiful open range ranch just up the road from our house. This is the real deal! Best burger you have ever had type of meat. Once you visit Hanalei for the first time you will totally understand why anyone would want to own a home here. It is the place.
What makes this House unique
LOCATION: The best part of the Tiki Home for us is the fact that it is so centrally located. At the end of our street is the Saturday farmers market that has some of the best produce in the world... so fresh! Just around the corner from the home is Pine Trees beach and equal distance is the little path the locals call 'The Cape' Walking into town is just as easy as walking to the beach. Town is a short 700 foot walk from the home. All of these are even shorter on a bike! The best restaurants on the north Shore are just 700 foot walk. Think about how easy that is if you want to have a Mai Tai at dinner and don't want to be driving all the way back to Princeville or Haena. Hanalei is voted number 1 beach in all of America so many times now that they retired it to permanent status. If you don't stay at the Tiki Home you should at least stay in Hanalei. ARTISTIC & UNIQUE: The TIki Home is funky cool! This place is built like no other home. Kids love the lava rock entrance and Lava Rock shower in the Master Bedroom. The upstairs open floor plan is really cool. The home has custom carved beams everywhere inside and out. QUIET: Hanalei is a very sleepy town, so it is very quiet at night. Tiki Home is the place to be if you are looking for quiet solitude and peace. However be aware that most neighbors around Hanalei get pretty annoyed at late night partying, so if that is the type of place you are looking for this might not be the best fit. AMMENITIES: We use the home constantly. We live in San Francisco and fly over using miles all the time. That means we like to keep nice stuff in the home because we use it too. There is a 6 bottle wine fridge, $800 set of knives, plenty of cookware, etc. In the last year we have installed all new Carpets throughout the home as well as new couches, new ceiling fans, and new awning on the back deck.

Amazing Stay at Tiki Home
My family recently had the pleasure of renting Tiki Home for our time in Kauai. The house was amazing for our family of four. The house itself is a marvel, with high end building materials, top of the line furnishings, and amenities. It's unique style made it stand out from some of the other offerings in the area, and I believe made it a much more fun and special place. From the huge kitchen with every possible tool a cook will need, to the Coyuchi sheets and towels, Tiki Home has a feel of a home, rather than, a rental. With a one block walk to the beach or to the town, the location was ideal. Greg (owner), was a pleasure to deal with. We have rented a number of homes over the years, and Tiki Home ranks among the best we have had. It made our first trip to Kauai and amazing experience. Highly recommended!
The Tiki Home is a lovely property very well located in Hanalei Bay with an easy walk to the beach and the village. The kitchen has great amenities and is a pleasure to cook in and the many dining area options in the great room are superb. Our small group of friends had a wonderful time as we were there to celebrate a friend's wedding in Kauai. We would surely stay @The Tiki Home again!
Wow!!! This is truly an amazing home that's within walking distance to the Hanalei Bay!!!
The Tiki Home is an absolutely amazing vacation rental. It really is like staying in a fancy tree house. The owners have done an incredible job with the decor and you can tell that they use the home as they had everything we needed. The first day my daughter said "daddy they even have toys for me". The home is within walking distance to the town of Hanalei as well as the Hanalei Bay beach. I was attending a conference at the St. Regis and the commute took less than 10 minutes. The owner is fantastic to deal with and we would definitely rent this home again if/when we return to Kauai. I highly recommend the Tiki Home to anyone!!!
We had a fabulous time with extended family staying at the Tiki House for ten days in November celebrating our ten year anniversary. The house was roomy enough for all the adults to have their private "down" time. Although it rained during our entire stay, it did not dampen our spirits. We felt like a local, walking to the beach each day or going into town for a quick bite at Bubba's Burger, and not to mention the shave stands. Had so much fun at the well known farmer's market, which was just across the road.
We have rented many beach vacation rentals all over US and this property by far, had highest quality of amenities: furniture, linens and kitchen appliances (first time I didn't have to bring a chef's knife along). Other than the fridge, the high-end kitchen was fabulous! Used the Vitamix mixer to make smoothies, and cooked a full turkey dinner for Thanksgiving. We appreciated the unique architectural details of the home, incredible workmanship. Washer & dryer worked great. It was awesome not to have to pack beach towels. Kids loved the beach toys, and we appreciated the available beach chairs. We have made it a point to return every two years for a visit, and hope to stay in this amazing home.
Owner (Greg) was very responsive and great to work with, and also Mindy the on-site property manager is so kind. Don't hesitate to book this amazing property!
Great Family Vacation
We just got home from our week long vacation at Tiki Home.
We brought our 2 adult daughters and sister in law and my husband (total group = 5). We had more than enough room (each daughter got their own bedroom), the rooms were well appointed, private, comfortable, and pleasant.
The house could easily accommodate two families and would actually be fun!
We bbq'd most nights, sat on the deck, and rode the bikes Greg provided all over town. The house is in a great location. The house had 5 bikes (and we were a party of 5). One bike needed a tire and we rode into town, visited the Bike Doctor (great place, great guy, great customer service), got a new tire, pumped it up (pump was in the house), and off we went. The bikes were a blast. Really the only way to see Hanalei.
We really couldn't ask for anything more. This house was a great retreat for our family.
I would recommend it.
Great place to stay with extended family!
We had a great time at the Tiki house. It really was like being In a tree house when you are upstairs, level with some of the tree tops. The master bedroom is huge, a nice space to hang out with the kids when they get up super early and everyone else is still sleeping. The back yard is completely private and well maintained. There were bikes to use, but unfortunately with young kids we didn't get much use out of them. There were many sand toys, boogie boards and beach chairs to use. The kitchen was so big that we could have 3 people working on making dinner and not feel crowded at all. The location was great, even our young kids had no problem making the walk to the beach or the the shops. The local market was great. We have already recommended this house to a friend!
If you are contemplating other areas of Kauai to stay you should look no further than Hanalei. It is by far the most beautiful place on the whole island to rent a home. Centrally located our home is on one of the best cul-de-sacs in the heart of Hanalei. You are only a few minutes from the #1 beach in Hawaii and just as close to the charming sleepy town of Hanalei. Cruise into town quickly on one of our beach cruisers or walk in your flip-flops. Or get in your car and endless adventures await. The Napali Coast is about a 20 minute drive, golfing at Princeville resort is a 15 minute drive. Tunnels beach is great snorkeling and 15 minutes away by car. Or rent a kayak right in Hanalei and go up the Hanalei river into beautiful Taro fields or go downriver out into the open ocean and the challenge the waves at Hanalei point. Other Activities: Helicopter Tours & Kayaking in Hanalei River
Additional information about rental rates
All major holiday weeks have a $100/night additional charge for the core 7 nights of that week. If however you stay 13 nights those other 5 nights would be at the normal rate for the surrounding period. These holidays typically are the week of July 4th, Thanksgiving as well as two weeks that cover the Xmas/New Years. For Xmas New Years we usually look for a 2 week booking however if we can find two groups to fit with 7 nights each we can make that work too. For the more popular times of the year including holidays, spring break months and summer we will need to fit bookings back to back with other bookings. For summer and spring break this tends to mean check-ins that are on the weekend. This sometimes is a bummer because airline tickets can be expensive. So we suggest to guests the idea of staying on the island a little longer on either end of a stay at the Tiki Home. Guests can sometimes find airline tickets that are much cheaper on weekday flights which allow them almost a free night stay in a hotel for a night or two. Also make sure to use the "Advanced" option on vacation sites like United Vacations so that you can break out something like staying in a hotel for the first or last night. This allows you to book the airline tickets for full 8-9 days but isolate your extra hotel stay for 1-2 nights only. We do this all the time when we are overlapping with guests checking into the home. We love staying that extra one or two nights a the Kauai Shores in Kapaa. Its a retro hotel that was recently renovated, funky, inexpensive and when packaged with United Vacations flight is about $130-$150/night.
50% of all rental, cleaning and taxes due to book. Remaining fees plus damage deposit due 60 days prior to check-in.
