This house is perfect for two couples or a romantic weekend. Walking distance to everything and the most comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again.
Our second visit and out third is already reserved for 2024. Yes, Napa Valley is know worldwide for wine and fine food and that is what originally drew us there. We were not disappointed, delighted in fact, with all that. But what has brought us back again and again is what we discovered once we spent time here—peace, quiet, pure contentment. This little house’s heart belongs to Larry and Gail for sure, but seems to know just how important it is to us to feel like it is OUR house for the length of our stay, like it knows us and is so glad it’s April and it’s friends have arrived. We’d come back again and again if the only food and drink available was bread and water. We are truly happy there.
That just about sums it up. Go out the front door early in the morning and turn left to get the best French bread outside of Paris, baked within the hour; turn right and within two minutes you are walking a country lane through the vineyards with barely a building in sight. I kid you not — two minutes! The house and grounds are charming and homey and the fireplace is lovely on the evenings when it cools down (we’re talking April here). Delightful little kitchen with original cabinetry, butler’s pantry with all things coffee and wine, front porch with sassy squirrel to greet the day and watch the world jog/cycle by, and a very private backyard pergola with party lights and a great grill. Be sure to make reservations early at the amazing restaurants within a ten minute walk, although we found that we could often be seated without in mid-afternoon. Don’t count on April 2023 because it’s taken already.
Quaint Peaceful Beauitiful Retreat in Ideal Setting with Amazing Food & Wine
The photos and description fit the property perfectly. The outdoor areas are amazing. The peaceful comfortable sitting area next to the gorgeous and practical garden (we cooked a fresh tomato sauce with ALL the homegrown ones in the garden!), dining table under the stars and fun bocce court were awesome, not to mention the picturesque rocking chairs on the front patio.
The living room was lovely with inviting, spacious, comfortable furniture, a perfect TV, and a fun speaker system.
The upstairs was great. When traveling away from home, it is so important to have a super comfortable plush bed. The two king beds with wonderful linens and attractive pillows/bedspreadhs did not disappoint and made it a luxury to sleep away from home for a whole month!
Gail and Larry were very welcoming, offering great tips before the trip and being proactive, communicative, down to earth, and pleasant. Throughout the trip, they were quick to respond to any minor questions or needs for help. We stayed during COVID and the wildfires, but still managed to have a blast despite the tumultuous times in the world. We got lots of take-out from some of the BEST restaurants in the world, splurged on some dining out that was responsibly distanced, enjoyed outdoor winetasting, and having cooking adventures at the lovely home. It was very perfect for our family of 4, including a 1 and 3 year old. We can't wait to return!
The house was wonderful, the location was perfect, walking distance to shops and restaurants .The owners Gail and Larry were great to deal with, friendly and helpful. When we do Napa again will defiantly try to stay here again.
The house is in a great location! The owners are so nice and are quick to respond to questions. Love the backyard and tomato garden. Highly recommend this gem in Yountville.

Beautiful Place!
This is our fourth time to stay at this lovely house. From the french country decor, to the beautiful patio, to the well-equipped kitchen, it makes a great home-base for a wine country visit. In addition, the owners (Gail and Larry) are VERY responsive to any communications.
Highly recommended!

Amazing, Relaxing Stay
What a treat to spend our Napa Valley holiday in this charming home. The location is perfect – on a quiet street among other darling homes in the historic district. Yet we were so close to the restaurants and shops we had come to enjoy.
The home is adorably, yet elegantly furnished. We felt like we were on a Mediterranean getaway (with all the modern technology). Attention was paid to every detail from the comfortable leather sofas, to the cozy king-sized beds - not to mention the beautiful backyard with bocce court and vine covered pergola. If you like to cook, this is the home for you. If you like to dine out – simply take a short walk and you will find world class restaurants. We took advantage and did both.
The homeowners are lovely and very responsive to our needs. We will be back.

The best!
We have rented this absolutely wonderful home tor two years and truly love it. Besides having a special charm indoors, the outdoor space is great, including the delicious tomatoes that grow on the vines. Le Petit Maison is fully equipped with everything and more you could possibly need or desire, including two bicycles and a bocce court. The location is on a quiet street, but very close to town with all the amazing things to do in Yountville. The owners are totally helpful and on board to answer questions. It is a wonderful place!

Perfect all round!!
This was definitely a wonderful cottage in an absolutely perfect location. Walking distance to downtown restaurants, bakery, shopping etc. and within driving distance to ALL the locations/wineries you could possible want.
The owners are SO accomodating and helpful - providing an array of information.
The cottage is well equiped with everything you need - also, important to me, the bed was very comfortable which is a plus as I'm a bit of a mattress snob:-)
Safe neighborhood which was also important for me as a single women staying for the month. I would definitely recommend this beautiful place to anyone thinking of spending their time in Yountville.

Amazing stay
We absolutely loved our month at this lovely, charming home. Location couldn't be better for the valley; quiet, country location but still close to everything you need. The backyard is so quaint and beautifully landscaped. The house has everything you need, including plenty of storage space. Most of all, the owners are so attentive, making sure your every need is met, as well as sharing recommendations and information about local attractions and activities. Great home base for biking around Napa, as well as visiting wineries.

Enchanting Cottage - Perfect Name!
From the moment we arrived, the Enchanting Cottage was just that....simply enchanting! The house is a charming two-story, comfortable home with well-appointed amenities - you could tell just how much thought the owners put into making their guests feel welcomed; and being a cook myself, I was thrilled to see all the cookware and utensils I could ask for. Our favorite feature was the backyard...we used it as an additional room because of the vine-covered gazebo with padded furniture and glass table for dining out; there's even a bocci ball court and bicycles. Plus the garden was in full bloom with several varieties of tomatoes and herbs....perfect! The owners were very accommodating and helpful - always available when we had a question - such nice people! This Yountville house is in a great location within walking distance of some of the best restaurants in the Valley, and we enjoyed every one of them during our month-long stay. Could not have asked for more and definitely recommend Enchanting Cottage to those who want to experience one of the best rental homes Yountville has to offer.

Awesome!
The pictures and description of this house don't do it justice. The location is perfect (easy walk to downtown Yountville), the decor and condition of the house is first-rate, the patio area is fantastic. For you cooks, the kitchen is great and the owner (who is ALSO a great cook) has outfitted the pantry with all the spices/oils/vinegars/cutlery/high-end pots/pans and utensils you'd ever want. The communication with the owners was also terrific and there are many, many personal touches they've put into the place to make the stay hassle-free and totally relaxing. Highly recommended; we WILL be staying there again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our vist to this house and Yountville during the month of September.. Gail and Larry were wonderful assuring that everything was comfortable and the house was well stocked with items to spend the month in the wine country. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen well appointed for cooking and wii-fi throughout the house - we felt completely at home.
We spent many hours on lovely back patio reading and enjoying our friends. The heirloom and cherry tomato garden was a real treat!
During the cool mornings the fireplace was a warm treat in the living room area. Taking walks in the mornings and evenings to the Bouchon Bakery or to the many fantastic restaurants in town was so enjoyable.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful home and we look forward to a return visit..

Home away from home
We stay at this beautifully appointed retreat on an annual basis during the summer. It is quaint, centrally located and absolutely gorgeous. My wife and I have been vacationing in the valley for nearly 20 years and have stayed in a number of places. This home, by far, is the very best we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. Our kids (ages 9 & 6) love this home and claim it as their own. They also love the nearby park and their ability to go to it unescorted by parents. The tomato garden, the bocce ball court and the bicycles are all added bonuses not the mention that you are walking distance to the center of Yountville. I can go on and on, but I’ll end by saying that the beautiful appointments and location of this home are equally matched by the very attentive and delightful owners Gail and Larry.

Very Charming and great location to downtown Yountville!
I've stayed at this rental property on several occasions these past few years. It's an incredibly charming house on a very quaint street. It's within walking distance to the downtown area where there are quite a few really great restaurants and boutique shopping areas. My favorite is the Bouchon Bakery where the croissants just melt in your mouth! If you want to get away to a place that feels like home, I would highly recommend this charming cottage!
