Summerland is the quintessential California beach town.. A short walking distance out the back gate to the Summerland Beach and a quick drive to The Rosewood Miramar and Coast Village Road in Montecito. Many stylish new stores can be found on the main street of Summerland - included are Garde, Big Daddies, and Field + Fort. Located directly behind Summerlands iconic "Big Yellow House" on Hardinge Avenue. The back gate can be accessed by Hardinge Avenue. Out of this gate is the easiest for walking to Summerland Beach.

The entire home is available to our guests. Smart lock code will be provided prior to check in.

Sparking, light and bright ocean view home. Cool, clean lines and beach chic sensibility. Living room with an open kitchen offering tremendous indoor/outdoor entertainment flow with views of the Pacific coastline. Sumptuous furniture and art throughout the house interior/exterior.
Master bedroom suite includes a king size bed with hotel style linens, smart TV, high ceilings, walk out deck with a propane fire pit, dual bath, tub and a large closet. The Chic Home's second suite includes a spacious en-suite bedroom including a king size bed and separate furnished patio access. The third guest bedroom has a king size bed and ensuite bath. The 4th bedroom has a king size bed and is in a separate cottage with its own private deck and ocean views. The two bedrooms are located on the lower level of the home connected by a spiral staircase. The family room with a smart tv and comfy sofa for movie nights.
Outdoor furniture includes, two chaises lounges, 3 sofas, 4 chairs, 2x dining tables with 8 seatings each and a total of 3 umbrellas. 8 beach chairs provided. Live your best Summerland & Santa Barbara beach life here!

Summerland is the perfect beach town for walking around to the various shops and restaurants. Summerland is also a great town for bringing your bike as there are bike lanes and paths that connect to Montecito.

Jeanines - casual breakfast/lunch spot
Honor Bar - menu selection is small, but really tasty salads and sandwiches - they don’t take reservations - great for afternoon cocktail/wine and a shrimp cocktail appetizer. Also really good pizza to go.

Bree’Osh - the BEST breakfast sandwiches
San Ysidro Ranch - short drive up the road - ultimate romantic destination for locals and travelers. Have their email if you’d like to make reservation there

Parking for 4 cars on property. Walk out the lower gate to get to town for chic shopping and beach town dining. 5 minute walk to the beach.

Please take note, this is a Hillside community and is a multilevel home with 4 different sets of stairs. Renters should be competent with stairs when booking our house. Also please note as this house is in Summerland, CA it is close to the freeway and you are able to hear the freeway noise.

We had the most amazing time staying here for our girls weekend. Perfect set-up, gorgeous views, barely noticed any noise from the freeway. It was so convenient to get to Montecito and the interior design was adorable! Would recommend 1000 times over

Great location and view! We did morning strolls to the cutest coffee shop down the road. House was exactly as described, very cute and aesthetically pleasing. Loved all of the deck space with table, fire pit and jacuzzi. Thank you to the hosts for helping us restart the breaker when the outlets weren’t working and for bringing us an extra fan during the weekend heatwave, much appreciated!

Our family had a wonderful weekend together, and we appreciated having this home as a place to gather. The house offered plenty of space and was conveniently located for our needs. That said, there were several maintenance and cleanliness issues (including prevalent freeway noise, very limited lighting on stairs, and some dirty/worn furnishings) that made the stay less comfortable than expected. With more attention to upkeep, this could be a much better experience for future guests.

The house was in a good location on asidehill with a view of the ocean the furniture in the living room and the couches outside on the deck or extremely dirty. This house does not have air-conditioning so it was very warm and it really didn’t cool off much until about midnight. If you want to bring a family to the beach with a lot of beach time it’s not a bad location

Sweet Summerland

This property is wonderful! We were 4 adult couples and a baby. There are common areas to be together but each room feels private with its own bathroom. It is very dog friendly too! The outdoor area and the view are spectacular and the community is lovely. We ate at the local diner and got coffee at the local coffee spot each morning. We could not recommend this lovely spot more!

We had the best time!

Great location to local restaurants and coffee shops, with an incredible view of the ocean. We brought the whole family and loved that there were rooms and privacy for everyone. The outdoor space is awesome for evening talks and the park down the street on the beach is incredible. Such a great trip and I highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely lovely stay!

What a little gem in the cute city of Summerland. Stayed here with 3 other couples and everyone had enough space, their own bathroom and an amazing kitchen to cook brunch on. The hot tub was such a nice aspect too! Check in was super easy and the host was very nice and communicative. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was just okay; in need of some repairs, new towels, etc. That was manageable, but the traffic noise was the deal killer for us. There’s a fantastic outdoor deck with amazing views, but we could not take advantage of them due to the freeway noise. Nor could we sleep with our windows open. Nothing that the host could do about it, it just is what it is. The location is awesome: we walked to the beach, walked into Summerland for breakfast/lunch.

Beautiful retreat

This is a fantastic property. It was super cute and perfectly clean! Large enough for 6 of us to be together and to also have separate retreat spaces. The ocean view is wonderful, from any of the four+ patio spaces. We'd go back in a second!

Summerland Wedding

Loved this property. Beautiful house and views. Very clean and easy check in and check out. Great communication. I highly recommend staying here it was wonderful and big enough for 4 couples to stay comfortably. Looking forward to hopefully booking again in the future.

We had a very nice stay, the house was nicely decorated and very clean. The house has lots of stairs which was fine for us, just something to be aware of. The house was also located near a small shopping area/walking distance which was nice too.We would definitely rent again.

Getaway weekend

Beautiful home-Very comfortable. Sleep with fans otherwise the traffic noise is a bit much. Very close to Highway 101. Home has external obsolescence due to horrible road noise. A lot of stairs so be careful with the elders. Otherwise, a wonderful home.

Manager was very responsive but the umbrellas had been needing repair for some time. Location convenient, good parking but everything hilly. The kitchen was great with large table that worked for us. Main probllem was multi-level, stairs without handrails. Adding handrails seems to obvious on area from parking to house and toward beach.

A bit off it’s mark…

The house is beautifully decorated and designed and fit the four of us adults easily. That said, the freeway noise is intense, so it makes it hard to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the sunshine and ocean views. We also had a few glitches like outlets not working, supplies is not available, appliances not all easily operable…the manager did help out and brought us some supplies, but I feel like the attention to details is lacking (which I expect details in a house in this price range to be over 100%). That said, Summerland is an adorable area with great shops and restaurants to enjoy. Thank you for your hospitality.

Beautifully maintained house

A short and easy walk to the park and beach, to Godmother's book shop, and a cute downtown with shops and wine tasting. Convenient highway access and about a 10 minute drive to Santa Barbara. Quite a bit of highway noise but knew that going in and it became background noise to me and I used a white noise machine at night to sleep.There are lots of stairs but the host had warned me ahead of time. Appreciated the heads up when Truman warned me and made sure it would be okay for my older parents. Loved having a bathroom for each bedroom which gave privacy to each of us staying there. The hot water wasn't great in the upper bedroom on its own, and in the downstairs bathrooms (took a long time to warm up). Many places are lacking in amenities but this one provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion in all the bathrooms!We found the beds very comfortable with a variety of pillows for everyone's tastes. I also felt like the towels were soft and fresh without having issues like pilling or fuzz.The house was very clean. I did get an allergy flare up from previous pets (usually I only react to cats but I think this was a dog based on the dog toy we found), but that's always a risk at homes that allow pets.It would have been great to spend more time at the house with the beautiful fire pit and hot tub.
