CREATE FAMILY MEMORIES TO LAST FOR A LIFETIME/FOR GENERATIONS!
Cozy cottage set in the pines of Ocean Park with a private deck facing a brook. There is out door seating for 6 on the deck, with a gas grill for your barbecues. An inside dining room has additional seating for 6-8. You will love the up-dated features that maintain respect for the historic qualities of the cottage and setting. The bath features an original footed tub (with shower added)... and a pedestal sink complements the era. Two upstairs bedrooms feel open and airy. The front bedroom is connected to a sunny sleeping porch that now serves as a separate reading nook. This room has 2 twins that may be used separately, or maintained as a king bed. The second bedroom is smaller, and is usually kept as twin beds. A sofa bed in the living room adds space for two more guests.
You will love the old 1950s feel of the community, the privacy of this setting, yet you will still be in the midst of it all. The cottage is conveniently located within walking distance to the beach, tennis courts, shuffle board, and local charm. Ocean Park is in southern, coastal Maine where 7 miles of sandy beaches are at the end of the street. Opportunities for riding the waves, kayaking to a light house, hiking, walking, surfing, biking, Ferry Beach State Park, and cultural and educational programs are all right at your finger tips. Enjoy Southern Coastal Maine. 15 minutes by car to Portland International Jetport, 1 1/2 hours to Boston/Logan.

I love southern Maine for its beauty... for the many opportunities for 4 season recreation, and for the convenient access to cultural and historic activities in Portland/Boston.

Cozy, quiet, and peaceful
The house was very welcoming and homey, very peaceful and relaxing throughout the day as well. Walk to the pier was longer than expected, but overall it was a great experience
Cute cottage , nice to be walking distance to soda fountain
Tough to get the windows open🤔Had to use sticks and shoes. Cute little back deck , nice and quiet
Vacation of Mold and Mildew
This cottage sits on an earthen basement and next to a swampy area. This combination results in the cottage have mold and mildew problems, to which my family has sever allergies. We stayed one horrible night in the cottage, and escaped at 5 AM the next morning. We were forced to seek other accommodations. The owners were notified and brought a new air conditioner for the upstairs, but this did not resolve the problems. In addition, the old clawfoot tub does not drain well and you will stand in ankle deep water, the floor boards have lots of gaps and dirt is trapped in those spaces, so it is impossible to clean them. It was more like a camping then a nice cottage. VRBO will not let you submit without stars, this is the only reason I gave this property ANY stars - very disappointing.
Very happy w/ accommodations
Clean & comfortable cottage about 4 blocks from waters edge. Everything needed to make a comfortable stay!
We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay, Holly!
Thank you for your review!
Perfect Summerhouse for a walk to the beach
We enjoyed our stay. We were there with 3 kids. That worked perfect. The kitchen is in a good shape and everything to cook is there. The bathtube works and the waterpressure is excellent.
We enjoyed that we could walk to the beach and drive in a short time to Portland and other Places.
Thank you, Corinne! We are so glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay in our cottage in Ocean Park.
REVIEW UP-DATES: We realize that people rely on reviews to make vacation decisions. We have had no reviews for a while because we have been enjoying the cottage for personal use. The cottage is also occupied off season by families in transition. I will be up-dating the listing to show improvements, that we have added a washer/dryer and have cable and internet for everyone's additional convenience. Please feel free to send us a message if you have additional questions or concerns.
Ocean Park is a 15-18 minute commute to the airport and Portland to the north, or Kennebunkport to the south. Cruise lines offer these as excursion destinations (to Portland passengers) as well as LL Bean and other outlet destinations. The cottage sits directly behind the historic Temple in Ocean Park, known for educational, cultural, entertainment and musical performances, as well as interdenominational worship on Sunday mornings.
