About Michael Gramegna

I am a 38 year old dreamer, family man, and a father of 6 children, 5 sons and 1 wonderful little girl. My father the late great John Gramegna built the carriage house on this property for my family and I to spend time in the wonderful Lake George area. Since his passing I have been working on his family legacy; to make life for others as wonderful as we can, in the form of a warm and comfortable place to stay, a caring person to greet you , take care of all your needs, making your stay with us an amazing experience that we will both remember for years to come.

Michael Gramegna purchased this house in 2010

Why Michael Gramegna chose Bolton

"I bought this home because it was so Amazing looking, and I knew, that I could create, the Place of my Dreams. This will be My Retirement home, and will be a Bed & Breakfast."

This was my father’s statement in 2011 since his passing in 2015, I Michael, his son have made the completion of his dream my mission, and to bring you the best bed and breakfast/wedding facility/rental destination that could possibly be placed in this wonderful hideaway in Lake George

If there is anything we can do to make this destination the place you call your dream getaway, let us know and we will do everything in our power to accommodate that dream

What makes this house unique

Decent for a setuagenarian birthday

  • 4 of 5

Very Victorian style home with LOTS of upholstery and curtains, dried flowers, etc., and a stuffed owl made this look like it was zeroing in on prey in the family room. Easily housed our party of 13. Abundant kitchenware, linens, plenty of hot water, up to date washer and laundry, but the washer was super slow given its industrial size. Everything in the house works. AC is only in the upstairs; fans on first floor made for some toasty cooking conditions. Pool was nice, bit of a rugged path across the street to access the lake, dock pretty wobbly. Sheets were soft! Caretaker made it clear that only a specific amount of paper goods were on site and we'd have to buy more items if needed-and they were. Dishwasher soap also ran out, garbage dumpster almost too full to fit the final amount at departure. Wifi spotty, electricity cut off three times, came on again pretty promptly. Nice location relative to grocery shopping yet far enough from the hubbub of Lake George Village.

Something for Everyone at Somewhere in Time

  • 5 of 5

Our extended family of 11 ranged in age from 2 to 87, and came from Clinton, NY, Long Island, Chapel Hill, NC, Glendale, CA, and the Philippines. This house was huge and had so many features that accommodated everyone. The downstairs had multiple sitting rooms with an open layout, a large diningroom and kitchen. The kitchen was very well equipped. My mom used one of the sofa beds on the first floor. The 6 bedrooms were also very roomy, and the upstairs was air conditioned (although the rest of the house tended to stay cool without AC). The Victorian decor throughout the house was also very cool and interesting. The property featured a kids' playground, outdoor enclosed porch, a huge gazebo for large gatherings such as weddings, and a swimming pool (very popular with the five children under the age of 8). We used the first floor of the gazebo for some meals, as we had beautiful weather. We also took advantage of the lake access, which was across and down the street, and rented a power boat from a nearby marina. A shoutout to the housekeepers, Nora and Corolla, for checking in with us and giving us good suggestions. A few things to be aware of are: the house is located on a busy-ish road, so you do hear road noise from the porches near the front of the house (but not from inside); cell phone reception was iffy, but there is a landline available in the house; there is another rental on the property - this was not an issue for us as it was unoccupied during our stay. Our family had a fantastic time and I recommend this house to groups who are looking for a large property that is out if the ordinary.
