About this property

Overlooking Salt-water Lagoon- Free Golf Cart + 2 Kayaks

Our Coastal Cottage is completely renovated and overlooks the Salt Water Lagoon located at the heart of Key Largo MM 100 in a gated community (Kawama Yacht Club) with 24 hr security.

Kawama is a 24-acre complex surrounded by three sides by John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, known for some of the best Scuba diving and snorkeling in all the keys.

The property amenities include a saltwater lagoon with a small sandy beach and two heated swimming pools.

The property has an onsite marina with a boat ramp that gives guests ocean access via a deep water channel to some of the area's best fishing, snorkeling, diving, and sandbars. Other amenities include boat trailer parking, playground, outdoor BBQ areas, and tennis courts.

Guest can fish, kayak, or snorkel the Ocean via our rock jetty. Two kayaks with life vests and paddles available to guests.

The boat ramp is free of charge, and trailer parking is first come basis. Trailers up to 2 axles only.

We had a great time staying at Andy’s place. The girls loved the lagoon and spent most of their time outside. We had a little issue with the golf cart, but he provided another one and made up for it. All in all it was a great experience and we will be back.

Title: Perfect Key Largo Getaway – Thoughtful Host & Beautiful StayWe had an amazing stay at this VRBO during our vacation in Key Largo. The host was incredibly accommodating and allowed us an early check-in, which made our arrival day so much easier.The home was spotless and very well maintained. You could tell a lot of care goes into making sure guests are comfortable. There were plenty of toiletries stocked for our entire week, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the stay feel even more welcoming.We were also greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine, which was a really nice surprise after a day of traveling. This property is located perfectly for walking to local restaurants. The home is beautifully maintained. It sits right on the salt water lagoon and offers two kayaks for use throughout the stay. The host is very responsive when we had questions.

Good security, fun golf cart to see everything in a few minutes, nice place to swim in the lagoon. Be sure to go out at night with flashlight to see the critters in the water. There are some huge spiny lobsters and lots of sergeant majors. We also had a huge iguana on our roof outside the main bedroom. Her/his name is lizzy. Overall, lots to do! Recommend highly.

Overall an excellent stay. Perfect weather, sunny and breezy. Love the proximity to the pool and lagoon. Beds were comfortable, ceiling fans throughout. Wish the back bedroom had more air flow, no windows and door didn’t open. Very friendly people staying there and many good eateries within 15 minutes. Golf cart came in handy, although a little rickety, worked great. All the comforts of home and well equipped. Just great! Don’t hesitate to book. We were two couples and there was plenty of room.

Beautiful but a little small

The property was lovely. It was a great location and the neighborhood had great amenities. My only issue was that while it slept 6, there wasn't 6 seats at the dining table nor 6 places to sit in the living room. I would expect all aspects of a property to fit the same number of people that can sleep there.

Such a nice property with great amenities! Property was newly updated and very clean and had everything we needed. Traveled with 2 kids and a grandparent and we were very comfy and had plenty to do during our stay! Loved all the fish in the lagoon and enjoyed the fire pits by the beach on the evening. We had a wonderful stay. The spot is great - overlooking the lagoon was lovely at night sitting on the porch after getting kids to bed. Beds are comfortable and the place is very clean and seems recently updated. Lots of appliances (Keurig, toaster, washer/dryer, grill, etc) and pool noodles/kayaks were great. We love being able to use a golf cart at Kawama to get around, see the ocean, easily get to the larger pool, etc. This is the second year we've stayed at Kawama and hope to return every year!

Great location on the lagoon at Kawama. We enjoyed our stay, but unit needs a few issues addressed. Comfortable but squeaky beds; the lighting in the main living area could use a dimmer switch and you can’t turn on the ceiling fan without all the ceiling lights coming on. Loved the grill on the porch.

New annual tradition

Beautiful location and owner is very responsive and accommodating. The cleanliness and aroma of the home was so inviting. Very safe option for small children. Balcony screened in lanai is very secure makes for a comfortable stay. All the pool and lagoon accessories were a huge bonus making our stay so much fun! Almost forgot to mention golf cart for getting around. You won't regret booking! Thank you Andy
