Stellar Experience!

The property was 5 stars on every level! Location, roominess, furnishings, amenities, kitchen appointments, and extremely helpful and communicative hosts--they truly wanted us to have the best possible stay and they were genuine. This is a beautiful family home, filled with their personal history and artifacts. One of the best vacation sites I've ever stayed!

Father’s Day weekend

Second year staying here. House is very clean and well apportioned. Homeowners easy to work with. Great location near the springs and Florida cracker/monkey Island. Also close to Publix and shopping. Will be back again next year!

Amazing River Vacation!

We walked in to our host and some homemade cookies! Our host gave us a fantastic tour of the home and everything it included. We were on the river from sun up to sun down. We brought our own inner tubes for the kids (bring an electric air pump if you do) and towed them from the kayaks and paddle boards that were out on the dock. There were enough kayaks and paddle boards for all of us so inner tubes aren't necessary our kids just love lazying about the river while we do the work! We don’t mind at all It was a much needed adventure filled vacation! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Scallop Trip 2025

This house and our stay was absolutely amazing. The owners and their daughter made this trip outstanding. From the check in process to the day we left everything was so easy. The amenities in the house were abundant. We didn't need or want for anything. Everything and I mean everything was right at our fingertips. Place was so clean and comfy. It was definitely a perfect spot. The surrounding area including the backyard and boat slip area was awesome and it was just a quick ride to the springs. Would highly recommend booking this house. The best part is we were greeted with a plate of yummy chocolate chips cookies. Will definitely be looking into booking this home next year

Beautiful Well Maintained Waterfront Home

This beautiful home is located in Citrus County Florida on a canal that leads to the Homosassa River. My family fished from the dock and caught several fish. This home is lovingly maintained and beautifully furnished. This home has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Owners are very friendly, communicative, and responsive to your needs. Would love to rent this home again!

Guys weekend

Perfect spot for a Father’s Day weekend, guys trip. Awesome screen room for poker night! Kayaks and paddle boards were great for the VERY short trip to springs. Close to Monkey Island and Florida Cracker restaurant. House was well appointed which was handy since wives were not present.

Very accommodating

It was definitely not long enough. We had a great time, kayaking, and fishing. The house is amazing. You could not ask for a better time. The fire pit was really nice at night. There was no firewood because of all the bad weather as soon as I called we had firewood within 10 minutes probably very accommodating!! The cookies was an added bonus. They were delicious. Thank you.

Great location

If you’re looking for a great location that’s close to everything, this house has it. Short paddle to the springs and short drive to restaurants. We received a very thorough (45 min) tour to ensure we knew where everything was and what we could use prior to receiving the access information. The owner and her daughter were very thoughtful in the explanation, instructions, and stocking of items around the home. There were 5 kayaks and 1 paddle board available to guests which are accessible from the dock. They are shared with their two other Homosassa properties. This home receives priority for usage, but they ask that you let them know when you’ll use the kayaks so they can let the other properties know about availability. They have a boat on property that they will take you out on if you book it with them. That seems to apply to guests at other houses too. The owners dropped by one evening during our stay to get the boat from the lift and life vests from the porch to go out to see the holiday fireworks. We were on the porch when it happened and thought we had a runaway vehicle parking in the yard until we saw who got out. We loved the back porch which sits right on a canal off the river. Lots of seating and a great place to relax. It was peaceful listening to the birds and crickets as the sun went down. We enjoyed it each evening we were there.

Being on the canal that takes you to the head of the Homosassa river is magical. The neighbors are all very friendly and caring. Walking distance to drug stores, grocery stores, and places to eat.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We are minutes to the head of the Homosassa River and freshwater springs via kayaks or boats. Quiet neighborhood. You can walk to the Florida Homosassa State Wild Life Park. We often view manatee and sometimes even dolphins in our back yard with lots of other wild life. Close to birding and walking trails.
