Soaked up the Vistas in Boone!

We needed to move our daughter into her new home in Boone as she starts her 2nd year at Appalachian State and bring our dog with us this time - so we looked at rental properties that were close to the school, allowed our Hazel to join us and gave us a bit of a sanctuary. We found it at River View Retreat! This place was beautiful - the views from the deck were breathtaking and the hot tub was just what our sore backs needed after the moving of furniture. This place is definitely off the beaten path - and the STEEP driveway to the house would definitely be intimidating in poor weather (but the owners warn of that!). We are now looking to see if we can go back when we visit our kiddo in the fall - I can only imagine the beauty of fall leaves!

Disappointing

Home was not clean, had to contact someone who after many hours agreed to send cleaning help- that person stated she would need “several hours” to bring the place up to par. Driveway washed out and close to impassable. No yard or green space.
