Laundry service was convenient, the heated floors in the bathroom were great! The view and got tub were very relaxing. Overall, great property, amazing location.
The hot tub was unfortunately not working for the majority of our stay, however, Jeffrey was extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with. Once the hot tub was fixed, it was lovely! The cabin is absolutely adorable. We will be staying here again.
This cabin far exceeded our expectations. The Mt. Hood area was incredible and having a small village nearby was the perfect mix of isolation and convenience. The property itself is gorgeous, by far the best cabin I've stayed at. Tons of little touches the owners have done to ensure that everything necessary for a comfortable stay is present. I will definitely be staying at this cabin again in the future!
We had a great stay. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. The cabin was super clean and comfortable, and the location next to the stream was beautiful. We appreciated being close to so many wonderful hikes. The host was very accessible and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!
The host made sure we had everything we needed. Cabin was darling. Right on the river, like to go back in summer, beautiful! Opened out wonderfully. Heated bathroom floors and deck outside the master were awesome. Even had a little Christmas tree up when we got the. We had big dogs with us and zero problems for responsible pet owners. Thanks again
We love this place! Quiet, beautiful, relaxing. Hike during the day and relax in the hot tub in the evening. This was our second time renting the cabin...we'll be back!
My family and I came to celebrate a birthday and get out of town, and it was a breath of fresh air literally! Already talking about going back! (And we just left)
We love Camp Festivus! We’ve stayed here before and had a wonderful time every time at Camp Festivus! Place is beautiful, great stream in the back yard, hottub, plenty of space, all you need in the kitchen, really a gem! Host is super friendly and helpful! We will be back!
We always love coming here. It is so quiet and peaceful. Best place in the whole world to relax and unwind. We picked up some BBQ in Sandy at Sandbar BBQ. Stopped by the Thriftway in Welches for a Mt. Hood Pie Company pie and sat on the back porch eating and enjoying the scenery. No reason to leave. Just sit and relax. The blue jays were nice company during our meals. Zippy, as always, had a great time. Especially playing on the log crossing the river. It was his first time getting to the other side. There was so much more to see over there.
My husband and a couple friends stayed for the weekend. It’s close enough to Mount Hood and yet feels secluded. Right on the river for a perfect view. Plenty of room for a couple families with kids. The mud room was great as it was pouring when we arrived. The covered back deck was perfect for morning coffee and evening relaxation. The bathroom floors are heated and the master bath is amazing!Highly recommended!

About the host
Hosted by Jeffrey Kolwitz
Almost a decade ago, we initially shared this retreat with a family that raised their now adult children coming up to Camp Festivus with their dogs. We have continued the long tradition with our two boys and our pup, and we continue to try to make our cabin a place for everyone to enjoy. We felt so lucky to have come across a property with such an amazing location as well as a great history, and we cherish the artistic stamp that our friends placed on it through its restoration. It always feels like home.
Why they chose this property
Living in Portland we wanted a place that would be easy for our family to use (we don't always enjoy long car rides), and we wanted a place that we would all enjoy. The year round access to the outdoors around Mt. Hood has to offer is unbelievable. Our cabin is so close to everything (hiking, biking, skiing, restaurants, coffee, etc. But it is still so private and secluded; it's the best of both worlds.
What makes this property unique
Right on Clear Creek, old growth trees, wildflowers, options to eat indoors or outdoors at the custom built picnic table on the deck overlooking the water. Two flat screen TV's, Blu-ray, and 6 person hot tub. Fire pit. Hammock. The gentle sound of the water always present. A place for everyone.
