Camp Festivus is a unique 1926 Vintage cabin that has been thoughtfully restored, featuring a stone (Steiner) fireplace, reclaimed barnwood and 6 person hot tub all on a private creekside acre.
Challenge your nerve by swimming in Clear Creek or relax in the hot tub over looking the water. Indulge your inner slug, grab a book and read in the hammock.
Feeling lucky, you can try fishing in the back yard or walk across the street to see if they are biting in the Sandy river. Afterwards you can cook up what you catch at the outdoor fire pit or grill, then fall asleep to the sound of water or gaze at the old growth trees or creek view from every window.
You can throw down your gear or tune your bike or skis in our large heated mudroom, and toast s'mores out back or come inside and listen to Pandora or watch a movie on one of our flat screen TV's. Do you want a bit more privacy for the adults then the kids can go down to the comfy TV room with flat screen, dvd player and stereo, there are tons of pillows and fold out mats to relax, watch movies, or listen to music.
The iron and woodwork and much of the furniture have been custom designed and produced (by the owner) to maximize the beauty of the cabin as well as the surrounding area.
Camp Festivus, a place you can rest(ivus).

Having two children and two dogs of our own we have tried to make our cabin a place for everyone to enjoy. Since we both work in creative fields we felt so lucky to come across a property with such an amazing location as well as a great history that we could put our artistic stamp on and it would only enhance its beauty.
Owner purchased this Cabin in 2010
Why Owner chose Mount Hood Village
Living in Portland we wanted a place that would be easy for our family to use (don't enjoy long car rides) and that would be something we would all enjoy. The year round access to the outdoors at Mt. Hood has to offer is unbelievable. Our cabin is so close to everything (hiking, biking, skiing, restaurants, Stumptown coffee, etc. But it is still so private and secluded, the best of both worlds.
What makes this Cabin unique
Right on Clear Creek, old growth trees, wildflowers, options to eat indoors or outdoors at the custom built picnic table on the deck overlooking the water. Two flat screen TV's, Blu-ray, and 6 person hot tub.

Perfect mountain cabin.
Camp Festivus is one of the nicest cabins I’ve stayed at around Mt Hood and I’ve stayed in plenty. It has been nicely restored with a lot of cool custom furniture and vintage fixtures. The fireplace is huge and awesome and makes for a very cozy living area. The kitchen is well appointed with all of the cooking necessities someone would need. Beds are comfortable with nice bedding. The back deck and yard with hot tub and river view really seals it. Definitely plan and renting again.
Beautiful property, even better view
We had a great time staying at the cabin for our annual friend reunion. The fireplace is great for sitting around and catching up and the back porch has such a great view of the water, if it wasn't so cold we would have spent all our time out there! The upstairs room was 'under construction' and not available for us to use which was a bummer, but the downstairs room has plenty of extra space when you use the floor mats. Overall the place is lovely.
Gorgeous property and cabin
This was our second stay here. Highly recommend.
What a beautiful place. So rustic, nestled in the trees along a creek. Worked great for a group of 10 women. (Note*bring extra TP with 10 women 5 rolls won’t do the trick.)
The owners are also great and help accommodate to the best of their abilities. Likely a yearly stay for our women’s group. So close to hiking and Government Camp. And there are restaurants, bars, grocery and coffee in 10 or less minutes away!
I can't being to express how much I love staying at this cabin, and how special it is. I first came across it back in 2010 and had a couple of amazing stays. It was wonderful to get back out there recently for a ladies weekend - we cooked great meals in the well-stocked kitchen, took nice long soaks and listened to the creek, and hung out in front of the roaring fire. Everything about this place is lovely, and it's always bittersweet to leave.
We Love Camp Festivus
I don't really want to tell everybody how amazing Camp Festivus is because we want it all to ourselves but it's the best cabin on Mt Hood! Can't wait until next time.
