About Tammy Wooldridge

I have lived my entire life on the North Olympic Peninsula. I am very fortunate to live here and it is a beautiful place to visit. I have three adult children who still love to spend time and enjoy the waters of Lake Sutherland. I work and live in Port Angeles, but try to spend some weekends escaping life's demands by relaxing at the lake. I have a sign at the cabin that reads, 'If you are lucky enough to live on the water, you are lucky enough'. That says it all!

Tammy Wooldridge purchased this cabin in 2003

Why Tammy Wooldridge chose Port Angeles

Lake Sutherland is a prime piece of property on the North Olympic Peninsula. This cabin was bought in 2003 and fully remodeled in 2004 - 2005. There is a public boat launch on the south shore side of the lake. This location is 10 minutes away from the Olympic National Park, 40 minutes from Forks, WA., home of Twilight books and movies and a ferry ride to British Columbia, Canada.

What makes this cabin unique

Fishing, boating, kayaking, tubing, skiing, bird watching, hunting, family time.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This is in one of the most beautiful locations we have ever stayed. The cabin was so cozy and had absolutely everything we needed. Tammy has really made this a welcoming and restful haven. The lake is a dream to wake up to. We used the kayak and had breakfast on the balcony every morning. Fabulous!

Gorgeous Views and Comfy Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had so much fun at the cabin for our honeymoon. The trail you have to go down to get to the house is really pretty, and adds to the charm! There are LED solar lights along the trail so there was no problem during the nights we got in after dark. The private dock was our favorite feature. We lounged in the chairs, swam, fished, and kayaked! Kitchen has everything you would need and we cooked in nearly every night. Easy drive into Port Angeles, too!

Good Location

  • 4 of 5

This was a great location to explore the North end of Olympic National Park. We spent one day going over to Hurricane Ridge and another day around Lake Crescent both of which were an easy drive. We were there for 3 nights Sat- Tues and what a difference the weekend to the weekday made. There are power boats and jet ski allowed on the lake so Saturday had quite the party vibe with people being loud out on the water until about 10pm. Sunday and Monday nights were much more of the peaceful lake vibe that we were looking for! The cabin had everything that we needed and the bed was very comfortable! I would stay here again.

Peaceful getaway

  • 5 of 5

The cozy cabin is a wonderful little place to stay that is located on wonderful lake Sutherland. Our family enjoyed the week long stay exploring the Olympic national park and fishing out on the lake. I must say it was nice to wake up in the morning to the views of the lake and watching the eagles fly by while we sat and ate breakfast on the dining table. The cabin was well stocked , and comfortable. We look forward to our next visit ... hopefully sooner rather then later

Views to die for

  • 5 of 5

The outdoor view and space were unbelievable. Location was great right off 101 and the cabin was certainly cozy. The space had all the amenities you could want and more. Getting down to the cabin was a little tricky and easy to lose your grounding. We didn't feel safe lugging our suitcases down the hill but luckily we had some daypacks that we stuffed full instead and that worked just fine. The pullout sofa was great for our 3.5 year old but I'm not confident it would be comfortable for an adult couple. We would certainly stay again!
