Less than 10 minutes away from the main square in Banner Elk, this home provides a quiet retreat with quick access to delicious restaurants, local shopping, and Lees McRae College.

Sunset View Lodge is a spacious and quiet setting for a High Country getaway. Enjoy views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the many windows in the main living area. Comfy furniture surrounds the large, flat-screen TV and wood-burning fireplace, and the spacious kitchen can accommodate all your cooking needs. The covered deck provides a relaxed setting to take in the surrounding mountain views, outdoor dining, a porch swing, and a gas grill.

The King master room on the main level has mountain views and an ensuite private bathroom with a tub and a walk-in shower. Two additional Queen rooms are also on the main level, sharing a bathroom with a combo tub and shower. The upper level boasts a fitness and game space, complete with a pool table, treadmill, step machine, and an exercise bike. There are two sleeping spaces on this level- a Queen room and a bunk room with a Twin-over-Full Futon bunk, which both share a full bathroom with a shower. The lower-level TV nook sofa also converts to a Queen-size sleeper.

Additional amenities include wifi, cable TV, central heating and air conditioning, and a washer and dryer. There is parking for 5 cars, and access to the home is easy, with just a few steps leading to the entrance. Book your stay at Sunset View Lodge today!

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! Unless you want to have a dead mouse in your room. Check-in was ok, it was kinda hard to find the place since the GPS took me the wrong way. But the biggest thing was that my niece was running around playing as a normal 2-year-old does. To my surprise, my niece goes to the closet and picks up a dead mouse. I don’t know how long it’s been there, but the room stinks like it’s been there for a while now. I contacted the host, but all they said was they couldn’t do anything about it, just that they were sorry about the whole thing. But that didn’t fix the other issues either; the jacuzzi didn’t work, and there were no pots or pans at all, so if you do stay, you'll need all your basic kitchen appliances and seasonings. But aside from that, I don’t know if they had bats or mice in the walls, 'cause you could hear them all night long, especially in the room upstairs with the two queen beds. Also, the outside porch was full of either bat or mouse feces. The place wasn’t very clean either, with a lot of spiderwebs, and the cabin was very creaky. Overall, the stay is definitely a 2/10. I can’t say one good thing about this place; it's the worst place I’ve ever stayed in by far.

The property was just what we needed for our group of 15. We had plenty of space. Only problem we had was the doors kept blowing open. Overall great memories made and had a great weekend.
