Adorable and only 50 steps to awesome Longboat beach directly across the street is the beach access. This is a very private part of Longboat and often you will not see a soul. I was visiting in the height of season and only saw a handful of people. If it is privacy you want you got it. It is all brand new with a Queen bed and sleeper sofa for sleeping arrangements. It has all new appliances with a dishwasher too.

Beautiful and a great escape! Beach directly across the street about 50 steps. You can hear and see the Gulf from your unit. Everyone falls in love with my unit.

A large shopping plaza, Avenue of the Flowers, is behind the complex, offering a large grocery store, wine and liquor store, drug store, video rentals, specialty shops, and restaurants. High quality Municipal Tennis Courts are one block away and a four-foot wide sidewalk extends for most of Longboat Key with seven to eight miles for jogging, rollerblading, walking, and biking, and walking your dog. One can also walk the beach for the same distance, and shelling is a favorite activity.

There are also bike lanes on both sides of Gulf of Mexico Drive for extreme bike riders. Longboat Key is a very upscale barrier island which is connected by bridges to Anna Maria Key to the North and St. Armand's Key and Sarasota to the South. Sarasota Airport is an easy 15-20 minute drive and Tampa International Airport is an hour's drive North.

2 miles from the famous and lovely St. Armands Circle. Walk or take the Trolley or park in the many spaces provided.

Great family getaway

  • 5 of 5

The condo is very clean and has EVERYTHING you need for the beach! The beach is right across the street, and is no crowded at all! My cousin stayed on siesta key so we drove over to go to that beach front a day, but couldn't even find parking so we went back to our little "private" beach! We saw dolphins swiming north one day, and manatees swiming south. The manatees swam so close to us I could have reacher out and touched one! We had such a good time. The condo is a excellent value! I have paid twice the price for a week at the beach at other places and they have not been nearly as clean, or have the amazing amenities that this place had!

Cute and a convenient location also!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the close access to the beach and supermarket/CVS. The condo was clean and had tasteful accents. Very reasonably priced for the convenience of being able to walk to everything!

A very enjoyable stay!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week while waiting to get into our new house. Its an excellent location on LBK, close to Publix supermarket & easy access to the attractions at St Armands Circle and downtown Sarasota. We had 3 adults and 3 vehicles. Luckily there were few other occupants so parking was easy. Its located right across the street from a public beach access. The beach was beautiful and unpopulated, June being the off season.

The unit was very clean, well equipped and everything worked. Mark, the owner, was very responsive and easy to work with. One caution, the unit is very small. It was a tight fit for our 3 adults. It would be perfect for one or two adults. More than that could be uncomfortable, especially with young children. Elderly or physically challenged clients should be aware its a 2nd floor unit with a steep stair climb straight up. Roger B.

great stay on LBK!

  • 5 of 5

This location is very good for LBK -- can get to things very easily, especially the beach! The condo had everything I needed, so worked out well for me - a single traveler. I would say that the kitchen is much smaller than appears on the photos though if one's intention is to do much cooking. The owner was very attentive and wanted to make sure I had everything I needed.

Neptune

  • 4 of 5

Our holiday was wonderful, the condo was just perfect, calming colours and decor. This was our third stay at Neptune, though first in this unit.

Perfect location, everything was provided and Mark was very responsive for anything needed.

Lovely sunsets from the balcony and close to Publix,a short walk away, and not far from St Armands Circle for shopping and dining.

Free calls were a real bonus too.

Vee and Sue.

Great time

  • 4 of 5

What's not to like about Longboat Key, and the location of Mark's place is perfect: steps from the beach, the grocery, the drugstore, shopping, and a really nice restaurant, which unfortunately will close soon. Entry into the condo was simple, quick, and easy, and we were able to get settled almost immediately. Mark was very easy to deal with and the whole process was smooth. The only cons were that the place hadn't been all that well cleaned. Surface cleaning was done, but slightly deeper layers required some real work. Additionally, though the neighbors were quiet, the noise from Gulf of Mexico Drive could be very loud. All the washers and dryers broke down at once, but were replaced within days, unfortunately the day after we left. Not much of a problem, but we couldn't wash linens, which we would like to have done. However, we met very congenial people, enjoyed cooking in the unit, walks and sunsets on the beach, the birds (especially the eagles on the next street!) and everything else that goes with a lovely FL getaway. Thanks, Mark.
