Cute and cozy space with a beachy surf vibe. The host provided an ample amount of information about the property and the surrounding area. While there is access directly across the street, there is public access a short walk down the street without a hill.

We had a great visit to Kill Devil Hills and would absolutely stay here again! The location was perfect. The house was clean, just as described in the listing, the beds were very comfortable, and they even supplied decent toilet paper (which is unfortunately uncommon). Our visit was the third week of August, which was a great week to be in OBX... All local schools had gone back, so the beaches were very quiet and peaceful. The host was very responsive and provided a lot of food information to get our visit started out right. We are a family of 4 with two little kiddos and a small dog. This home was perfect for our vacation.

First off, our host Gia was on the ball…! Very attentive and pretty quick answering any questions we had. We loved the house and its beachy, fun vibe! It’s the next best thing to being directly on the beach! Short 2 minute walk from door to sand! We would stay here again and we highly recommend!

Amazing Stay and Amazing Hospitality

My father, my dog, and I all stayed at Gia’s property and we could not have had a better experience. The unit was clean and suited our needs perfectly, and was also accurate to the listing. We were right across from the beach which was a lovely addition to the trip. The best part of the trip was Gia’s hospitality and kindness towards us, she made us feel right at home in the Outer Banks. We would love to stay at one of her properties again in the future. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

Perfect relaxing getaway!

The home was cozy and comfortable with everything we needed for a perfect weekend. Fully stocked kitchen made it easy to cook but location made it easy to find outside places to eat and shop. Description said it was a “skip” to private beach access which was such a luxury! Being pet friendly was such a necessary part for me and I am thankful my pup could come along!!

Lovely Short Stay

We were so happy to find a home that not only allowed short stays – just three nights – but also our Sweet mini doodle and literally a stones. Throw up a Dune and on the beach. Perfect house for a couple even the linens were quality! And the communication with the host was always immediate and first rate. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The kitchen was fine. We didn’t really use it. The description of this property needs to be changed. The only view from the kitchen and living room windows is that of hiway 12 and the large sand dune. You can not see sand and surf from the Pelican’s Nest. It is a short walk to the beach though. Everything else about the unit was fine.

10/10 would book again

First of all I cannot say enough about how great our host Gia was. She was super attentive and even helped us after checkout when my fiancé accidentally left something behind. The place is clean, quiet, and literally steps away from the ocean! The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals and clean up after ourselves. We stayed in the king room and the bed was really comfortable. The bedrooms and living areas are good sized and do not feel cramped. This place was the more than enough space for us and our two dogs. This is the first time we've stayed in Kill Devil Hills and it was a great experience. Everyone is so friendly and will strike up a conversation with you. I would argue that KDH has some of the best seafood in the country, so make sure to check out some local places! We recommend Chili Peppers, Awful Arthur's, and Jimmy's Seafood Buffet. Happy travels!
