5 minuti da Blue Ridge Parkway. Vista sulle montagne a strati dalla grande bella cabina su 6 acri! Comodo, cabina di 2000 piedi quadrati 6-7 posti letto: grande cucina, sala da pranzo e grande sala. Fantastico per le famiglie. Abbiamo internet DSL gratuito e TV via cavo !!! Non rimarrete delusi da questa deliziosa cabina con la privacy e un facile accesso alle attrazioni vicine!

La nostra casa ha un'atmosfera calda, confortevole e aperta con molto spazio per cucinare, cenare, giocare, guardare DVD, leggere e rilassarsi. Esistono diverse aree di raccolta, quindi diverse attività possono essere svolte contemporaneamente. C'è un portico coperto coperto da un tavolo da pranzo e sedie da giardino - perfetto per i giorni di pioggia, giochi da tavolo o per avere una piccola area lontana dal resto del tuo gruppo. C'è un secondo tavolo da pranzo e sedie sul grande ponte posteriore che si affaccia sulla valle e sulle montagne.

Facile accesso a molte delle migliori attrazioni della zona, tra cui Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad, Appalachian State, Blue Ridge Parkway, gemma mining, canoa nel New River, mountain bike, pesca ecc.

Great stay close to App State!

My family all came up to help to move a student to App State, and we picked this cabin because it was one level. The cabin was great, no neighbors around, beautiful landscaping, and extremely peaceful. Great communication with host was a plus. Highly recommend.

Our family loved staying here! Great house, close enough to Boone and Blowing Rock to run over and enjoy. And plenty to enjoy at the house. Games, gorgeous deck. A great time to relax!

Amazing retreat

From the isolated (and fun) drive up Chipmunk Lane to the amazing view and the surrounding property to explore, we had a fantastic time. Our kids, their cousins, and our dog loved hiking through the woods around the property and evenings sitting by the fire. The house is spacious and well appointed--a big deal since we had 5 kids with us. The owners were communicative and accommodating--excellent hosts. We would happily recommend it and rent again ourselves.

Christmas in the Clouds

There is a reason that Highridge House has all 5-star reviews! From the moment we climbed the driveway, to walking in the front door to the warm, inviting pine walls and ceiling, to the view of our own private mountain, we felt like we were "home." I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about this property, and it's host/s. We have rented several Vrbo's in the past, but this one has exceeded them all, due to the fact that this is not "just another rental property." This is John's (& Nancy) second home that they let us "borrow" for the holidays, and made sure that we felt right at home. It was a nice change to deal with the owners, rather than a property manager, especially John's detailed check in/out list and Host Favorites, which covered everything, including tips for getting up the driveway. You can't have the view without the climb, and it was worth it! Every room was decorated for Christmas, including a large beautiful tree that was the perfect "host" for all of our gifts. The mantle was beautifully decorated with lights, garland and a large wreath; the perfect backdrop for our family photo. The spacious kitchen with the sit-around island was a dream with every cabinet labeled and organized to cook our holiday meals. The huge stone fireplace was one of our favorite places to gather, especially since the weather did not cooperate, and we weren't able to appreciate the views from the deck. It was a memorable Christmas with family; one we will cherish forever!

Great Weekend Getaway House

This house is spacious and comfortable for our family for our trip this weekend. VERY glad we got a car with 4WD as the driveway is steep and tough to navigate. The view from back patio was amazing. John did a great job with his communications for the weekend and was so helpful and available if we needed anything.

Beautiful Mountain Retreat - Pet Friendly

Couldn’t ask for a better mountain rental. Property was very clean and the check in process was excellent. Communication with property owner was outstanding with quick responses! Large home with plenty of space and seating. Although I chose not to cook for our short stay the kitchen was exceptionally equipped with drawers and cabinets labeled for easy access. I would have really appreciated all the spices, cooking oils, condiments etc for our use had I made any meals. If you have a dog don’t pass this one up as our nine year old dog enjoyed spending his time too relaxing on large back deck!

Just stayed at Highridge house for the weekend. Can't say enough good things about this cabin! The house is beautiful and has everything you need. The views on the deck are spectacular and just completes your morning coffee! John, the owner was great and provided all the information we needed. He made the process seamless! Our Mountain Getaway

The property was excellent. Everything very clean. Organized well so easy to find things especially in the kitchen area. Nice and roomy . Even had Christmas tree up and cabin decorated. Hope to go back again in the future.

Home away from Home

We had a wonderful time at the cabin and looking forward to going back. The Christmas decorations added a warm touch. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need to cook with. We didn't want to leave on checkout day.

Stunning fall views. Super quiet

Loved our stay here. The driveway scared me at first but my husband figured out real Quick how to get up the driveway with no issues at all. Plus a drive up is always worth the views. We loved staying here. And would happily stay again.

We had such a great family trip to John’s mountain oasis. It was so quiet and peaceful - exactly what we needed. The house was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Can’t say enough nice things about the place! Would love to come back in the future.

Lovely Property

We rented John’s place for my (now) husband and his groomsmen to stay in during our wedding weekend that was down the road, at Wanderlust Acres. They had everything they needed and commented on how beautiful the view was from the porch. If we are back in the area we would stay here again!

Beautiful view

We love this property and have stayed here twice in the last year. It is very close to Boone and App State, so we stayed here for parents weekend and graduation. The home is very warm and comfortable. It has an amazing view from the back deck so we enjoy having morning coffee or evening cocktails in this peaceful setting. It is a relaxing retreat!

Wonderful Home with Excellent Views

Our family of five had a wonderful time visiting this home in the West Jefferson/Fleetwood area. We were in the area for a college tour but wanted to use the trip for a mini vacation to one of our favorite places. We visit the Boone/Blowing Rock/West Jefferson area multiple times each year to hike, explore, and dine. The home was as described and the property owner was very helpful and responsive throughout the process. The beds were cozy, the fire place was a gem, and the views were spectacular. This truly felt like someone sharing their home with us vs some of the "cold" VRBOs we've stayed at in the past. The home was convenient to West Jefferson, Boone, the Parkway, and other area treasures. Unfortunately, it was pretty cold and windy during our visit and we didn't get out as much as we had hoped, but the warm fire and hot cups of coffee/hot chocolate kept everyone happy. Internet service was also surprisingly good given how remote you feel up on the mountain. Streaming movies and the kids playing on their devices was not an issue at all. The driveway was steep but our AWD vehicle had zero issues. It actually was quite exciting for the family to drive up and down the mountain on the driveway each day. I suspect a 2WD vehicle may have troubles at certain points. Sometimes these are the things we need to do to get to such great views! Definitely will consider this home when we return to the area!

This place is SPECIAL

Had an absolutely magnificent time at this luxury log cabin in the mountains. It is: totally private, very quiet, had lovely outside views & a beautiful interior, very nicely appointed with a special note that the kitchen is a "cook's" kitchen. (They actually have quality cookware and sharp knives!) The owners infuse the place with a special energy. Our family was there over the Christmas/New Years holiday, and they had beautifully decorated the entire cabin with festive Xmas decorations including a Christmas tree, wreaths, and multiple accentuating details. Owners also provide a very extensive and detailed list of activities and eateries in the region. Can't recommend this place enough.

Excellent weekend!

My family and I had an excellent long weekend at the Highridge House. The cabin is in a great location, literally minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and really felt like a home away from home. The owner John was great to work with and very helpful throughout. The driveway was steep but level and in good shape. I've definitely driven on *MUCH* worse roads in the Boone area. We're really into birding and saw multiple species of warblers within several feet of the cabin!

Three large beds for tall family members.

This home has luxury appliances and many amenities for family time such as games and beautiful deck with a lovely view. It is an adventurous location and a hikers dream. The owners are great to work with.

We bought this beautiful home in 2008 after we fell in love with the magnificent view. Because it is our second home, it has all the amenities of home with a feeling of casual comfort and warmth. We know if you stay here, you will feel like welcome guests and will want to come back again and again.
