Why Steve Greer chose Blue Ridge Mountains

Our grandparents and dad were born nearby and the family church grounds were on this property. After the church moved, our grandparents purchased the land. Our dad's dream was to build a cabin on this property which became a reality a few years ago. We enjoy sharing this special place and hope you find renewed energy and love for life as you enjoy God's blessings here.

Loved the view

This cabin was perfect for us and our family! Right across from a beautiful river my son loved yelling at the tubers floating by. Loved the location and the local bakery was to die for. We will definitely stay her again

We enjoyed the sound of the river and not having cell phone connection . We have a wonderful time.

The cabin was great . Had everything you needed even a gas grill which we used to grill steak . We enjoyed swinging on the front porch and listening to the river and the sounds of nature . We even had a cat come to visit with us which delighted our grandson to no end . Thanks for letting us unplug .

Beautiful cabin, gorgeous views! Truly a home away from home! Sadto say goodbye but we'll be back!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first family vacation not at the beach and I must say it did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived we stopped rushing and slowed down. We put our phones away, forgot the tv and spent time together as a family. From relaxing on the front porch swing to enjoying the river to eating family dinners and laughing. We played cards, burned a fire at the fire pit and enjoyed every meal at the cabin! Last but not least my family went tubing and had a blast! We hated leaving this beautiful cabin but I believe we have started a new family tradition! Until we meet again!

My family and I had a fantastic time staying here. There was plenty of room, and plenty of beds. We're going to make this cabin a tradition.

Very nice and relaxing week.

Hi Steve, thank you for renting your cabin to us. It was nice being on the river (we didn't realize there would be a road between us though...but hardly any traffic so it worked out). The cabin is so nice and relaxing with the amenities of home with smart TV, AC, full kitchen, linens provided and more. We borrowed the bag chairs for the concert in the park Saturday. The porch was so relaxing with the swing....I took a nap a couple of days listening to the river. The hummingbirds were an added treat. We refilled their food so they would keep coming back. We even saw a chipmunk a couple of times and one at the river dock. A couple of maintence things though. The gutters need cleaning...we had a couple of bad storms. Also, some good weed eating around the property and especially around the river dock and the place would be perfect. We wanted to sit more at the river....but it just seemed a little snakey so we just went down when the boys floated in. It was nice to be able to drive up to the river access and float down. If you have 2 cars the whole family could go then drive back up to get the car. We also rented kayaks one day from River Girl. They were really nice people. We can't wait to come back and enjoy the cabin again. Thank you again! The Medlin's and Malone's.

We spent Father's Day weekend here with our kids and our good friends. Had a great time fishing, kayaking, and floating the New River! It was one of the most relaxing weekends ever!
