It is a modern themed town house that is between the downtown area and multiple hiking trails. There is a fire station down the street and they turn on the sirens as they turn onto their street. So noise is to be expected from the fire station and the busy street in front.
Also please take into consideration the neighbors on both side of the unit while on the stairs.

The townhome was very clean and comfortable. It is conveniently located within walking distance of historic downtown Martinez and close to many regional parks and the John Muir historic home. Neighborhood felt very safe and the covered carport was very nice to have in the rain. While the fire station is close, they never turned on the sirens during my stay. I was however, a little bothered by the street noise at night which could be loud on weekends, even with the sound machine. It wasn't too bad during the week. Aside from that, it was a pleasant stay!
We were staying in the area for a celebration of life and the apartment was a perfect location for us. It was three minutes to our friends house and about the same downtown, which was so nice. There’s a lovely Sunday market in Martinez and so many fun places to visit. Covered parking is a bonus.
