THE Marlin is a triplex building. Unit 202 has one bedroom, one bath with a king bed and a futon sleeper sofa. Unit 204 (VRBO #331207) is a two bedroom one bath unit with a queen bed, two twins and a queen sleeper sofa. Unit 206 (VRBO # 1128353) is a two bedroom one bath unit with a queen bed, two twins and one queen sleeper sofa. Rent all three units! Perfect for weddings, family reunions or gatherings. This property is zoned as a seven day rental. The building has a large parking area that can accommodate a boat and trailer and both public boat ramps are no more than a 2 minute drive away. We are located just one block behind the grocery store, shopping and dining. The public beach is less than a block away. You can't beat the location! There is also an outdoor kitchen with a charcoal grill, sink and refrigerator and an outdoor sitting area with tables and chairs. The Marlin is located at the corner at 36th Street and 4th Avenue and because it is not a through way and because there is no public parking, the street is hardly traveled and perfect for children. Our pool is 31'X19'. It has a shallow end with a bench around the perimeter for sitting. The deep end is a large circle perfect for swimming and there is a 'beach' shelf which mimics sitting at the edge of the shore line. Inside the beach when unoccupied is a fountain and when occupied is a jet that created bubble rings. The pool has a four color light system which can be solid or multicolor and illuminates the pool for night enjoyment. Also, there is a HUGE deck around the pool with lounge chairs and tables. Arriving late & don't have time to shop? Would you like your beverages to already be nice and cold for you when you arrive? We can have all of this ready when you arrive. Our fee is $25 plus 10% cost of the groceries. Do you need bicycles, baby items, beach items, a golf cart? We enjoyed our time while staying here. The unit was clean and well-appointed for our week long stay. The outdoor pool area was relaxing and provided a lot of fun for our little ones. Being only a block from the beach was great, especially as no busy roads were needed to be crossed. We would gladly stay here again.
The pictures don't do this place justice. It was the perfect beach home for me and my two children and it was so cute! Plus it was walking distance to restaurants, stores, and more importantly, the beach. And I mean, walk out the door, and the beach is less than a block away. I can't recommend this place enough, and we will be back again.
The property manager is very attentive. This property has 3 units that share a nice pool. The decor is very beachy and bright. Just as the description states, it truly is steps from the beach. Publix is very close as are many places within walking distance. We have stayed here before and will definitely stay here again.

I love this place
The place is lovely, the beach is wonderful. The unit is simple but comfortable. Normally I am not repeat the same place for my vacation but I will come back next year. The beach is very family-oriented. There isn't resort or big hotel nearby, only house and small apt. I love it.
I want to say thank you to Cat, the owner, she was very helpful and sweet. I recommend this unit for everyone that want a relax place and beautiful beach for your vacation.

Just As Pictured and Described
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Cat's condo. The condo was just as pictured and described on VRBO - clean and well-stocked. Our kids and I loved and enjoyed the pool! I was thankful that the beach was close and easy to get to; no crossing a major road because we have 3 children including a toddler. My girls and I appreciated being able to walk to Publix, souvenir shops and local restaurants. We also enjoyed renting bikes that were conveniently delivered to the condo. My husband and son enjoyed lots of off-shore and local pier fishing. It was a pleasure to get to meet the owner, Cat. We were not disappointed at all and hope to return.

Excellent House for Big Groups
I spent 3 days on the island to celebrate my birthday and this house was ideal for us.
We were a group of 14 people and we rented 2 out of the 3 units.
PROS:
1. Short walk from the beach.
2. The outdoor kitchen was fantastic - it gives you the opportunity not to spend time inside the house cooking.
3. The pool. During the tropical storms, we spent our time playing-chilling in the pool
4. You may spent the entire day outdoors. Beach and house cover all your needs.
5. Walking distance to the supermarket
CONS:
1. The third unit accommodates 4 people, but unfortunately a family of 8 was staying in there. I think it would be good from the owner to somehow control the # of people who rent the apartments. It is totally fine to accommodate a couple of extra people on each unit, but double the number might create dissatisfaction to the guests.

There was a miscommunication about the number of guests in that unit. There should have only been four guests. Flights were rearranged from the hurricane so we did allow for the eight guests but only for this situation. Sorry if there was any inconvenience. Please come stay with us again on your next trip to Florida.
If you’re looking for a budget friendly house in a superb location, this is it! Minimal guests share the pool so most nights it was just my family using it. My family loved the proximity to the beach entrance and it was just far enough down from the public beach parking so as not to be crowded. Really close to grocery store and souvenir shop (walking distance), and centrally located on island between all the restaurants and entertainment. Well equipped with everything needed for a weeks stay. It checked all of our boxes which were proximity to beach, a pool, near food and entertainment and away from large condos.
This property is very conveniently located to everything we need within walking distance. We fly so it's important to get to the grocery store, restaurants and other options. It is 1 block from the beach and 2 blocks from the shopping center. It has a nice pool and is well equipped with everything you might need.
Worst vacation experience ever!! Property run down and dirty. Toilet broke for 3 days. Refrigerator broke for 2 days. Pool area looked like an abandoned building. Stayed for 4 weeks and pool was not cleaned for the first 3 weeks. Pool filter system did not work for 3 weeks. On line pictures of property greatly misrepresented. Complained to VRBO and requested to be compensated for days w/o toilet and refrigerator. Property manager said no. I suggest VRBO check out properties they represent before taking them on as a client. Rate this property as a minus 10. Very unhappy with our experience.

It was ok. Only had one key for unit . Window in bedroom with twin beds was broken, host was told and nothing was done. Frig at outside grill was nasty. Unit needs a little updating. Overall it was good for the price.
We loved our stay! Perfect family getaway, steps from the beach. Plenty of space for all of us, loved having the pool right out our door, everything we could have needed was in the kitchen. Close to shops and grocery. Would definitely stay again!
We spent 6 nights at The Marlin & it was wonderful! The location can't be beat! Steps to the beach! Quiet, safe neighborhood & a clean, warm pool with plenty of patio seating, beach chairs, outdoor shower & floats for the kids.
We enjoyed the convenient walk to Publix, CVS, plenty of souvenir shops, ice cream & Chinese one night. We ventured about 10 min south for mini golf & felt even happier at the location we had! We also visited South Florida Museum in Bradenton to see the manatee rescue, but mostly it was a beach, pool, sunshine break!

We enjoyed our stay at The Marlin. It was super close to the beach, Publix and CVS. The place could use a few updates, but it's very clean and decorated nicely. Loved having a washer/dryer. We loved the neighbors, very friendly!!

Quiet Retreat
The location was very good only a short walk to the ocean. And if you wanted there was cafe on the beach within walking distance which was nice for breakfast or lunch. Although the pool was clean and very nice the weather just wasn't warm enough to swim as we were there the last week in January.
The kitchen had everything you would need for cooking there were even paper towels.coffee,and some spices that were probably left by previous vacationers. There were plenty of towels and wash cloths, and extra blankets for the beds if needed. We are thinking of renting the three bedroom next year and bringing along some friends.

Wonderful stay!
It was a wonderful stay on Anna Maria Island. The property is close to the beach and very near to the next publix. The furnishing and equipment are very lovely, the pool is great and the garden and grill area revery nice. An awesome stay for the hole family!! We like to come back.

Why they chose this property
When I moved to the island I fell in love with the small town feel. I thought that other people would also enjoy getting to experience the tight knit community. So I set out to design the Marlin to accommodate family reunions or quick getaways. It makes me smile to be able to let someone else enjoy our island paradise. I hope that everyone that stays here will enjoy our island as much as I do and that it will be a yearly stop for many!
What makes this property unique
THE BEACH! a few steps and you are there! Then come back up for lunch, shower off in the outdoor shower and be back on the beach in no time at all. In the evenings, grill on the outdoor gas grill or sit and enjoy the night sea air and of course, most importantly don't miss a moment of the sunset. Less exciting but equally important is the Marlin offers free long distance calling, internet, cable TV, washer and dryer and a large parking area that can accommodate a boat and trailer.
