About Property Manager
I am a marine geophysicist who designed and built this unique house.
Property Manager purchased this House in 1989
Why Property Manager chose Breezeswept Beach Estates
The dolphin fish + lobster are plentiful; scuba diving is great in the Newfound Harbor Sanctuary. The water is much clearer, the reefs are in better shape + less crowded than in the upper keys. There are lots of cultural and sporting events in the area.
What makes this House unique
We are next to 3 tidal lakes with blue crabs in them. The osprey, heron, iguana + key deer are visible daily. Just relaxing on the balcony is wonderful. We have a small picnic island just out the canal where locals gather. Free live entertainment is occasionally provided. We are a short boat ride to the international resort, 'Little Palm Island.'

Unbelievable Views and Location!
We've been home now for a few months, but all we can talk about is our stay at Looe Key Villa! From the moment we arrived, we were mesmerized by the views and the house. We ran around like little kids exploring all the amazing balconies and views. Every room has a balcony looking out to the canal or the ocean. We spent mornings watching the sun rise, and evenings under the starriest skies we've ever seen - because the house is so far from other light pollution - the stars are really intense. The owners were incredibly easy to work with and kind. We asked them a question or two during our stay and they responded right away. The location was perfect for us because we enjoyed the quiet, relaxation - sitting on the balconies and dock, watching the boats come in and out - but we were also about a 20-30 minute scenic drive from the nightlife of Key West. It's the best of both worlds. The rooms are well appointed and clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with utensils (obviously, you bring your own food) - we had more than everything we needed to cook our meals. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay! We'll definitely be back here the next time we're at the end of the US!
A Great Place for Family
I tried to hit 5 star but, for some reason, nothing happened when I chose it.
My family and I spent our first stay on Ramrod at this home.(Usually stay on Big Pine). Most enjoyable was easy access to the deep water. We were able to wrangle lobsters a half mile from the house! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy the water and have easy access to all the water activities. Good for couple with or without children. My grandson caught fish right off the dock. The home is a very casual laid back place where we felt comfortable and at home. Enjoyed the Tiki Bar right at the end of the road. Also, convenient access to all diving supplies. Comfortable beds, plenty of seating, lovely balconies.....nothing more to ask for. Thank you for allowing us to stay. My sweet Jack (our 4 legged child) loved chasing iguanas!!
Incredible Slice Of Paradise
A group of us decided on this home because we wanted easy boat access to open water and some privacy. When we arrived, we were quite pleased with the location and cleanliness as well.
We were focused on boating, fishing, diving and drinking- so not being on Key West's back porch was a plus (a half hour away). We had a blast fishing for small fish off the dock and were a little ticked that lobster were out of season- they were everywhere.
The only bad thing I can say is that it was a beast mooring our 20' boat when the wind was blowing >10 out of the east. That dock is in a little wind tunnel.
We highly recommend this little slice of paradise for families, couples and friends.
Amazing week kayaking and more
Just spent a week here with my husband and grown children. We loved the home and location. My brother had rented a home on the other side of channel so we would kayak and swim and jet ski between homes it was great. Wonderful place to have family time relax and enjoy the beautiful water of the keys . Snorkeling was amazing at Looe Key. Planning on going back next year. Thanks Peg for your kindness next year I hope we can have that snorkel trip together.
This listing met my expectations and then some. We have been comming down for mini lobster season for years and this place was great. Just up the road is a Tiki bar one can walk to. The dock handled a 27 foot boat with ease. We were a party of 4 adults with 3 kids and found the listing very comfortable. Easy access to load and offload the boat at a local ramp for free. Peg could not have been easier to deal with and was very accessable by phone / email. We had such a good time we booked already for next mini season. Not to brag but we limited out on the 1'st day by 10:30. Views, comfort, key life style and hospitality what more can you ask for! Thanks again Peg.
Stayed at the home for the week of July 4th. The owner seems nice enough, but be forewarned that the cleaning company used for this house is very nit picky. We mopped floors, did all the laundry as asked, and still there were some very minor basic cleaning tasks that were cited so that more of our deposit was kept.
Overall, the house is pretty average. It hasn't seen any updating since the 80's probably, there's no cable for the TV, and it runs off a cistern water collection system (rain water) which isn't advertised. So if there's no storms while you're there, you may run out of water. A lot of the views from the balconies are obstructed by mangroves.
Just be aware of the issues. Its ok for diving.
This would have been a very positive review but one little glitch turned it bad. The tenant was happy until the cleaning crew charged for additional hours. The tenant objected to this charge. We looked into the matter and ultimately decided to issue a FULL refund to the tenant.
We do our best to make our tenants happy. While we welcome constructive criticism and helpful feedback, we also ask that tenants please leave accurate comments. That said, there are a few other misunderstandings we would like to clarify.
1. The cable TV and internet services are provided by Comcast. The tenant did not mention that it did not work. It was in working order before and after his stay. There has never been a complaint about the TV -37 inch Vizio flat screen- or the cable service.
2. The cistern holds over 14,000 gallons and is maintained at 9,000 gallons or more at all times. That is enough to provide water for several months. We do not depend on rain or storms. Cistern water is purer and softer than local city water. There is a reverse osmosis water purification system. There has never been an issue.
3. The views from the balconies in the pictures are current. There are views in different directions from various balconies: over the harbor, canal, salt pond and, at a distance, open ocean.
4. The home has been continuously updated.

Thanks! What was your mailing address again for the keys? We used the grill once, turned it all off, and the propane seemed full. Ill be sure to write a nice review after we tie up the last odds and ends.

I do not want to be nasty because we did have a lovely stay with no hitches, but if you take the word of this lazy cleaning lady trying to stick me up for another $75, then ill have to leave a comment saying so on vrbo.
Again this tenant was happy until the cleaning fee was incurred. As a good faith gesture the money was refunded prior to the posting of his review.
