My sister and I stayed at this property in June while visiting our brother. There weren’t any reviews, but the Super Host status of the proprietor was assuring, and we took a chance. The apartment was in a really cute neighborhood with easy access to our brother, the airport, grocery shopping, and restaurants.
The house was cute and looked just like the pictures. The apartment was really clean, the kitchen was newly renovated, and the beds were comfortable. The apartment was sparsely but adequately furnished. We moved a spare nightstand and lamp next to the couch in the living room; bedroom dressers and a kitchen toaster would have been useful; but we got by just fine for our short visit. A full-time, friendly tenant and his equally-friendly dog lived upstairs, and they didn’t make a sound.
The only real drawback was that there were only two mini split AC units: one in the living room and one in the large bedroom. There was no AC unit in the small bedroom, and it was really hot, even with bedroom doors open and fans pointing into the small bedroom. Furthermore, the AC broke on our second day! It took a lot of back and forth with the property managers to get the AC fixed, and we were without any AC for about 36 hours. As a residential property manager myself, I know how these things go, and we were certainly accommodating and helpful guests! Still, we had a pleasant visit and would stay here again, with assurance of additional AC or during cooler weather.
I live in Seminole Heights and rented this place for my parents who were in town to visit for the Holidays. This place is a 2 min walk from me aFirst, I get a call from the property manager on the day of check in saying we will not be able to check in at 4pm because the previous tenants would not leave and “we’re trying to stay”. Very odd. He did offer to pay for our dinner & comp a few days but the phone call was bizarre. I’ve rented many places in this neighborhood for my parents and never had a squatter issue. He assured us the place would be clean and just as pictured online upon checkin even though it would be late. LIES. This place was smelly as soon as you walk in. Very musty and moist. The floors are not as pictured in his post. Some furniture was also different. There is obvious water damage on the walls and ceiling that they tried to cover up. There is a tenant upstairs and you can hear them. The place was dirty. The toilet paper provided was brown. There were stains on the wall. Mold in the shower. Huge cracks on the ceilings. This place is not suitable for a long term stay - only 2 towels were provided and limited kitchen essentials. We were not happy with the place and let the property manager know with picture evidence. He finally called me back AFTER I reached out to Vrbo support and they started bugging him. On the phone he was unbelievably rude - not a single apology for the situation or inconvenience. He did immediately offer to refund us which then turned i
