The cabin is gorgeous!
We will recommend this cabin to our friends and family! We all slept so peacefully in this quiet little slice of paradise. Waking up to the rainforest out picture windows was a great way to start the day. The cabin was spotless and so comfortable. We were impressed with the attention to detail, its obvious that the owners cherish this sweet little house in the woods. It was perfect proximity to volcano National Park, about 5 minutes away, so we left the park for nap time and returned for dinner and to see the lava glow. This was a highlight for our kids, they thanked us about a hundred times for taking them to see that! It's also only about 30 minutes to the black sand beach and we had an amazing day there, saw sea turtles!
We will definitely come back to this cabin if we find ourselves on the big island again!
This was a beautiful cottage that is so convenient to Volcano National Park. Plus, it is about 35 minutes to Hilo. The cabin had everything we needed for our family of four. It was nice to be able to make meals. The beds were comfortable and it was so nice to put on the provided robe. It was great to soak in the hot tub at night. We appreciated having the use of the washer and dryer. I would definitely stay here again.
Great Cabin minutes away from Park
The cabin is well anointed, with an very comfortable Queen bed and the other bedroom has a bunk bed.The hot tub is a real bonus after long hikes in the Park.
As soon as you enter the cabin, you smell the pine . The living room has a comfortable sofa and a nice lazy boy chair. The kitchen has everything!
The washer and dry are top notch also. Their is nothing shabby about the accommodations.
The air tight stove is a little challenging as the Hawaiian wood they have does not burn well. If you need to use it, I suggest buying wood from one of the stores in town as it burns much better.
A beautiful location and property
This cottage is tucked away in the jungle, very close to Volcano National Park and other wonderful sights and experiences. I loved the hot tub, the comfort, and the privacy, so close to adventure and discovery. Clean and well-stocked. I will stay here again.
Cozy cabin near the National Park
We liked the updated old fashioned space. Cabin was clean with a well-equipped kitchen. If only the Park hadn’t been closed due to the government shut down.
Perfect place for our volcano adventure!!
Our family of 4 loved everything about this cabin! It was so cozy and welcoming, and had everything we needed. It's location can't be beat for exploring Volcano National Park! The patio and yard are so beautiful that we actually came back in the middle of the day to have our lunch on the patio. We enjoyed the hot tub every night, it was perfect after a day of hiking and exploring. Highly recommend anyone staying here to go see the surface lava flow, it's an amazing experience! Would definitely stay here again!
