We originally rented the cabin for Nov. 27th thru Dec 3rd. However the wildfire came to close to our cabin and we were evacuated Monday night. We left items in the cabin only grabbing the things that we could. We live 9 hours away instead of fighting the crowd to find hotel rooms we decided to head back home. A few days later when the chaos calmed down, Outrageous Cabins called us to check on us and to tell us they would ship our items back along with giving us a refund. We will be booking with them again next year!!
My wife and I stayed here from November 10, 2016 thru November 14, 2016. This cabin was everything and more than we expected. We spent most of our time here relaxing and enjoying the view in the mountains. The cabin was exceptionally clean and the arcade, pool table, and hot tub were a lot of fun. It's so peaceful up that high and so quiet at night. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone considering taking a trip to the Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg area. A few things to mention for future quests.....Bring a larger fry pan if you want to cook breakfast or meals on the stove. They supply a really small pan under the sink, so we ended up buying a few essentials at the Walmart on the parkway. We also played a lot of pool, however there's an uneven slate piece that probably needs looked at, but all and all we had a great time playing pool even with the uneven table. Great place! A must rent! You'll love it!
We LOVE coming to the smokies -we really loved our experience at outrageous cabins. There were a couple very small things that weren't that big of a deal but we have had in other cabins. There was no bowl to mix things. There was no salt and pepper. In the bathroom the fan didn't work and there were two small hooks and a towel rack missing. Our view was also obstructed completely on the first floor by these giant bushes. Those are very minor things compared to the hospitality of the management. A family member of mine broke the plexiglass on the video game and they were very quick to tell me the cost and set my mind at ease that this wasn't a first. Also we had one air hockey paddle and they got us two new ones immediately. We always stay at outrageous cabins in sevierville and will do so in the future.
This was a very comfortable cabin, with an easy drive. The view was impeccable! We have stayed in many cabins and this is our new favorite for my husband and myself! I wouldn't recommend it for more than four unless you have an inflatable mattress for kids, etc. as the pull-out couch is in the living room. We decided to try local restaurants this trip and highly recommend the Johnson Family restaurants. Big Daddy Pizza and Alamo Streak House had great food and excellent service!
We just did a long weekend getaway to celebrate our 11 year anniversary. Hot tub was great beds were comfortable and the unit was clean. Spiral staircase little difficult to get up with bags but beautiful. We would have no hesitation in Booking this unit again.
My husband arrived at the cabin to find it clean and ready for guests. An absolutely beautiful view off the lower and upper back decks!!!! Kitchen had sufficient dishes, pots, pans, and baking sheets. Nice touch was the coffee and sugar packets. The disappointment was there were no coffee filters. Not sure why coffee-sugar was offered and no filters. Our bed was comfortable, and both the living room and downstairs bedroom TV's worked perfectly. We spent several nights in the hot tub, and everything was perfect. What a beautiful view from the tub to look up and see the stars. We were excited about the pool table, but disappointed that the table was not level. All the balls ended up on the one side of the table. We discovered the floor sloped, so we had to put a folded over washcloth under two of the legs to level it. It worked pretty good. But there was no pool chalk and the pool bridge was broken and not usable. There was an Air Hockey table that was damaged - one end looked like someone sat on it with the legs buckled under, so we didn't attempt to play it. There was a vintage arcade game machine that was awesome! It had about 10 vintage games on it and it worked perfectly. I will warn people....there is an extremely steep, very tightly wound open staircase going up to the second floor. Very steep, very small - tight turns, and if you have kids this could really be a problem. So would I refer someone to stay there? Yes, but be totally aware of the staircase. And to the owner/property management company - if you are going to offer games for people to enjoy (pool table & air hockey) they need to be playable. Level the table.......fix the air hockey table, and get a new pool bridge and chalk. Thanks!
