Space 1,500 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Come stay at our refurbished 1910 Beach Bungalow on Alki Point. It has all the modern amenities and comfort while maintaining its old world charm. Our master bedroom with new queen bed has a attached exercise changing room that can be used as a third bedroom, with a aero bed and linens.

Our bungalow has a unique feature, the second bedroom with a queen bed and T.V. is downstairs. It has it's own seprate entrance along with a bathroom, sitting room and office area.

This is perfect for two couples. Due to limited space there are no bathtubs in either of the bathrooms, showers only. Our bungalow is surrounded by a beautiful flower garden that was featured in the 2003 West Seattle Garden tour. View the garden from the front porch or around back on our custom built deck, where you will find a hot tub, outdoor speakers, teak table and chairs, built in fish pond and lots of afternoon sun. A great place for sunbathing, entertaining or just relaxing with a good book.

Beach combing, birding, kayaking, sunsets, with views of the Olympics and Mount Rainier can be found on the beach three blocks to the south. Three blocks to the north puts you right in the middle of all the action on Alki Beach, with its sandy beach, boardwalk, bike path, restaurants and shops. This is a very popular beach, perfect for people watching, romantic walks, beautiful sunsets and city views.

The bus line is a half a block away from the bungalow where you can take it to downtown Seattle or catch the free shuttle at the bus stop to take you to the Water Taxi. You will enjoy a short ride across Elliot Bay to the Downtown Waterfront where you can easily walk to the Public Market, Stadiums, Pioneer Square, Convention Center, Theaters, and much more.

Return after a full day to our bungalow with all its comforts of home. Hot tub, LED flat screen TV with surround sound, full kitchen, new pillow top queen size beds, and much more, are all here to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

About Pam and Tom

Pam and I were born and raised in West Seattle and have lived on Alki for 26 years, where we raised our kids.

We love the beach and enjoy all the activities Alki and the community has to offer. We are sure you will too!

Pam and Tom purchased this house in 1986

Why Pam and Tom chose Alki

Alki Beach fits our life style. The beaches, play fields, parks, and bike paths are features we use all the time.

Being able to walk to a wide selection of quality restaurants is a plus for us too.

What makes this house unique

If it's sipping morning coffee on the front porch, or watching the fish in the pond, bird's and flowers in the garden or walking to see old growth tree's in Schmitz Park, we are sure you will experience memorable moments here at our bungalow.

Amazing bungalow!!!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had the most amazing time at this charming bungalow! There was so much character and charm literally everywhere you looked! My one year old daughter especially loved the fish pond & enjoyed exploring the beautiful gardens. Pam and Tom were kind enough to offer a Pack n Play & booster seat for our kiddo. This home is convinently located near a variety of restaurants (we particularly LOVED Dukes Chowder House)and shops and only a short walk away from the beautiful beach! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you Pam and Tom for all your efforts. So many wonderful memories were made here, such perfect place for a vacation.

Wonderful in every way possible

  • 5 of 5

The house and grounds are so warm and inviting. All the personal touches really make a welcome respite after a long day exploring. Everything is an exemplary positive. The only negative was having to leave. Definitely on the short list for a return trip!!

Everything about this place is first class!

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this place is first class! The owners have thought of everything. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal. The beds are extremely comfortable with beautiful linens. There are plenty of towels in both bathrooms and also for the hot tub which is a delightful experience. The laundry room has a brand new high end washer and dryer. The outdoor living space surrounds you with beautiful plant life and a koi pond. So relaxing! The location is an easy walk to Alki Beach and many nearby restaurants. You can even take in low tide and find some interesting sea life. Then when you're too tired to walk anymore, you can enjoy the big screen TV and Xfinity TV with many channels. A lovely place to stay!

Delightful house and garden in great shape, quirky, comfortable and functional.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed this comfortable and attractive bungalow. It was very hard to think of any situations in need of upgrade or repair. The garden adds lots of charm, including a koi pool where we enjoyed feeding them occasionally (they are generally self-sufficient and shouldn't be overfed). I got some of the research and study I needed to get done in the downstairs office, which was very functional. Wifi good, except weak signal in master bedroom.

Quirks (or charms): Many, many small, eclectic, interesting decorations and objects on sills, ledges, shelves, etc. However, ample space for storage remains for occupants. Second bedroom/exercise room/closet is great for yoga or other exercise. No bed in it, but an aero-bed is on site for use.

Downstairs has a large office/sitting room, nice bathroom, satisfactory bedroom, and first class washer /dryer. If it had a kitchen it would be an independently rentable unit. Kitchen large, sunny, very well stocked. Multiple decks to sit on. Effectively no view to the Sound, although in the right place on the right days you might see sunset or a bit of Olympics.

Street parking in front generally available. The carport in the back is functional, but has a learning curve for backing into it from the alleyway -- first time I was one inch away from taking out the koi tank.

The location was desirable for us... quiet neighborhood, but we could do about a 1.2 mile walk to Constellation Park promenade, to Alki Point, past the lighthouse, to Alki Beach, stopping at Tully's and 3 blocks back to the house. We did this every morning we were able to. Saw an orca one day.

Alas, we are not returning here for our holiday visit, some other lucky souls have reserved this gem!
