About the property

House, 2 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Come stay at our refurbished 1910 Beach Bungalow on Alki Point. It has all the modern amenities and comfort while maintaining its old world charm. Our master bedroom with new queen bed has a attached exercise changing room that can be used as a third bedroom, with a aero bed and linens.

Our bungalow has a unique feature, the second bedroom with a queen bed and T.V. is downstairs. It has it's own seprate entrance along with a bathroom, sitting room and office area.

This is perfect for two couples. Due to limited space there are no bathtubs in either of the bathrooms, showers only. Our bungalow is surrounded by a beautiful flower garden that was featured in the 2003 West Seattle Garden tour. View the garden from the front porch or around back on our custom built deck, where you will find a hot tub, outdoor speakers, teak table and chairs, built in fish pond and lots of afternoon sun. A great place for sunbathing, entertaining or just relaxing with a good book.

Beach combing, birding, kayaking, sunsets, with views of the Olympics and Mount Rainier can be found on the beach three blocks to the south. Three blocks to the north puts you right in the middle of all the action on Alki Beach, with its sandy beach, boardwalk, bike path, restaurants and shops. This is a very popular beach, perfect for people watching, romantic walks, beautiful sunsets and city views.

The bus line is a half a block away from the bungalow where you can take it to downtown Seattle or catch the free shuttle at the bus stop to take you to the Water Taxi. You will enjoy a short ride across Elliot Bay to the Downtown Waterfront where you can easily walk to the Public Market, Stadiums, Pioneer Square, Convention Center, Theaters, and much more.

Return after a full day to our bungalow with all its comforts of home. Hot tub, LED flat screen TV with surround sound, full kitchen, new pillow top queen size beds, and much more, are all here to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

About Pam and Tom

Pam and I were born and raised in West Seattle and have lived on Alki for 26 years, where we raised our kids.

We love the beach and enjoy all the activities Alki and the community has to offer. We are sure you will too!

Pam and Tom purchased this house in 1986

Why Pam and Tom chose West Seattle

Alki Beach fits our life style. The beaches, play fields, parks, and bike paths are features we use all the time.

Being able to walk to a wide selection of quality restaurants is a plus for us too.

What makes this house unique

If it's sipping morning coffee on the front porch, or watching the fish in the pond, bird's and flowers in the garden or walking to see old growth tree's in Schmitz Park, we are sure you will experience memorable moments here at our bungalow.

Fascinating and lovely home

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable house which is well equipped to ensure a home-like stay. Fascinating displays of antiques and collectibles throughout. Beautiful and imaginative backyard. Our 7 year old granddaughter loved the musical instruments and created her own little area downstairs to play with her fluffy friends. We all enjoyed the easy walk to the beach and Alki shops and restaurants.

Thank you for providing such a lovely place for us!

PS The Christmas tree, decorations and lights were a lovely touch to our home away from home this Christmas!

Bungalow was charming

  • 4 of 5

Pam and Tom did a good job of making us feel welcomed. Great location, close to Alki Point. The bungalow does seem perfect for two couples. The downstairs and upstairs have separate entrances. You can tell they enjoy decorating, we visited during the holidays and they even had a small decorated Christmas tree. Hugh and Sandra from Oregon

Beautiful home; awesome location!

  • 5 of 5

Where to start? This house is amazing and I really appreciate the effort they put in to the inside/outside décor and landscaping. The decking in the back leading from the ground level to the main floor is beautifully done and really sets this home apart from the neighboring homes and other rentals in the area. The owners have continued this effort on the interior. The decorating accessories are unique and many harken to the beach house feel while antique and period furniture fit right in with the Craftsman architecture of the home. The beds were so comfortable and the neighborhood quiet. The kitchen offered all the amenities of home. The living area was comfortable and relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The Hot Tub was a nice bonus, too! The bottom floor living area and bedroom were just as enjoyable. This home also has a washer and dryer which was nice for a long stay. It was approximately 4 miles to Downtown Seattle and a quick drive for us to get to all the sites. You get the benefit of being away from the downtown hustle and bustle but the benefit of a short drive in. Alki beach is walking distance and has an array of restaurants right on the don't have to go in to the city to get great food. I recommend El Chupacabra for tacos and drinks on the beach and Luna Park Café a short distance away for breakfast. The owners notified us ahead of time on how to get in to the home and made it clear they would be available to us, but I had no need to call them in the week we were there. I cannot think of a single thing to complain about here. I feel like they really went the extra mile with their décor inside and out and that coupled with the comfort of the house puts this at the top of the list of VRBO rentals I have stayed in and I would highly encourage anyone considering a visit to Seattle to look in to renting this home.

Great stay, amazing place and incredible owners.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a long weekend. We have never stayed in Alki Beach before, but knew it was close to Seattle via Uber so we didn't need a car. Our first order of business was groceries which we were able to order from Whole Foods and while we waited we walked to the beach and enjoyed the boardwalk.

UberX works well for a car service and they were about $12-14 each way to downtown Seattle and normally had about a 5 minute wait to get a car. You can also use ReachNow if you want to use a BMW or Mini car service as Alki had a number of the cars within a 10 minute walk. Hot meals can also be delivered with Uber Eats if you need a quick meal!

The owners were very accommodating and their property was immaculate. Our two children 8 and 3 loved the little koi pond, and we all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The house had clear instructions for how to operate everything, although we didn't use the TVs or entertainment center and was surprisingly decked out with tasteful decorations and trinkets. It really felt like our home for the 3 days we spent there.

We only stayed on the upper level with out kids, so we didn't see much of the lower level since we didn't need the space. I highly recommend the Top Pot coffee and doughnut shop as the staff were super friendly. We walked the beach for a little over an hour every evening and the neighborhood felt safe wherever we ventured.

Thanks for the great stay! Hope to be back soon.

Beautiful home in an amazing location

  • 5 of 5

This home is perfect for a family, two couples, or a romantic getaway for two. The layout is wonderful and comfy and the owners ensure you have everything you need to feel at home. The location is close to the water and many delicious restaurants and coffee shops. We had the best time and are going to rent the home the next time

we are in Seattle for sure! I was in town for work, so having the desk available was great and because the home was so wonderful it still felt like a vacation to me. It's truly a gem.
