It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed Shells and Sunshine by Anna Maria Vacations from the upgraded kitchen and bathrooms to the beautiful beach and ocean views from the second floor, Betty. We appreciate your feedback about the beach access and understand how the natural terrain can make the walk more challenging, especially after rain. The path follows a natural route through protected dune vegetation which cannot be cleared or trimmed like a traditional walkway. As for the first-floor view, nearby construction is unfortunately outside our control. We’re glad you still had a great stay and appreciate you choosing us for your island getaway!

We’re sorry for the inconvenience with the grill. The concern was reported near the end of your stay, and while we were unable to get a technician out before departure, the grill was inspected shortly afterward. Our maintenance team confirmed it was fully operational and found that the grease tray had become excessively full and needed cleaning. The grill and surrounding patio area were thoroughly cleaned, tested, and are now ready for future guests. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as it allowed us to address the issue promptly. Thank you again for staying with us!

Susan and Thomas, we are so sorry that this was your experience. The cleaning of the home was not up to our standards and we let you know that. The cleaners were sent back and your cleaning fee was refunded in full due to the oversight. Our Housekeeping Manager did try calling you on April 10th, but there was no answer so she emailed you on that same date. I'm not sure if you have checked your email, but we did our best to get back to you and to remedy the situation. Once again, our apologies for the issues you experienced and we are sorry that the solutions we provided were not satisfactory.

Hi Margaret. Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay at Shells and Sunshine. We are so sorry that your vacation was not up to your expectations and we are happy to hear that the issues were dealt with. Our homes are all privately owned and furnished as the owner prefers them to be furnished, and some wear and tear (tables) is usual. Not all of our owners provide beach items for guests to use. It appears that even though these items were not advertised by us, we were happy to provide you with beach chairs and an umbrella for your stay with us within a few hours of your arrival. Anna Maria Vacations keeps a stock of items on hand, so if the coffee pot was unusable, I do hope you called to let us bring you a new one. Unfortunately, items do break and toilets can become clogged without warning. It appears that both our Service Team and a plumbing company were able to address the issue and resolve it for your promptly. We do hope that, despite some issues, you enjoyed your vacation here on AMI.
