If you don't know Gloucester, a stay at our Beach Haven is the best way to experience it - and if you do know it, you'll appreciate the access to great views, perfect light, and a wonderful little town. Read on...

The house: A very short walk to Gloucester's two best beaches, Good Harbor & Long Beach, our Beach Haven has breathtaking views from the living room and spectacular roof deck. (No busy roads to cross to get to the beach.) From the deck, you can enjoy your morning coffee or dinner & cocktails while breathing the sea air and watching the waves over Salt Island. The roof-top shower lets you gaze at the clouds and feel the ocean breeze while washing off the sand after a long day at the beach. A perfect respite from your busy days.

The town: We also highly recommend a trip or two to the wonderful harbor/fishing town (10 min drive) for super fun and eclectic shopping, more than a few casual or elegant restaurants and cafes, museums, whale watching excursions and more. This 400 year old port has a deep, proud history - never a dull moment. We absolutely love it here and so will you. Come visit!

We had a great time. The house is in a great location. It was easy to walk to either Long Beach or Flgoid Harbor Beach, and Wingaersheek Beach was just a short drive away. In addition, it is close to Rockport and Gloucester. My family enjoyed the comforts of the house and the proximity to lots of different activities.

Beautiful home, excellent host

We had an unbelievable time at Beach Haven. The house is gorgeous and spacious. The location was perfect, with a short walk to both Good Harbor and Long Beach. Wonderful vacation spot

Beach Haven was just as described. Beautiful views from the living room and the rooftop deck!! The outdoor shower was so nice. The property was very spacious and so well equipped from the kitchen to bed linens/ towels to beach chairs & umbrellas. The location is great for beach going or exploring Gloucester and Rockport as well. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Thank you Jeanne & Jeff

We are from Western Massachusetts and live in small liberal arts college town surrounded by the Berkshire mountains. We love a busy, fun vibe -- it's one of the reasons we chose to come to Gloucester! There's so much to do and not just on the beach (though no matter the season, that can't be beat!). We love biking along the back shore, walking along the ocean, eating at any of the terrific restaurants in town - casual and gourmet options abound - and entertaining friends and family on the deck! Mostly we love sharing our place with folks who may not know the wonders of Gloucester - it's truly one of a kind.

Why they chose this property

The super friendly neighborhood is uniquely situated between two beautiful beaches and we have loved coming here for almost 15 years. It's never "too" busy, you'll often see families walking to the beach or for soft serve and pizza (right at the end of our street!) and jogging or biking around Brier Neck. It's a lovely vibe.

What makes this property unique

Any season, the joy and peace that comes from looking out at the ocean from our living room couch is unmatched. No matter the season, you'll find the quiet to relax along with no end of things to do here. In winter and fall, things slow down and the ocean air rejuvenates. In summer, our rooftop deck provides a respite from a busy day...take advantage of the outdoor shower, lounge with a book, or enjoy a meal with family and friends. It's a complete breath of wonderful, fresh sea air! (Another perk: No need to jockey for parking spots - two beaches within 5-10 minutes walk!)
