So while we enjoyed our stay here, it was not entirely what we were expecting. The sunset view is only really available by sitting on the deck at the table and each time I sat out there to enjoy the views, I would find a small tick on me which was a deterrent from me going out there. The listing said parking available but there was no mention that there would be a walk to the cabin on a forest floor. Coming from Florida for a week for 3 people we had 2 large, heavy bags with us. Had it not been for my husband, I would have been super frustrated having to lug the luggage on my own without prior knowledge. Thinking as if it's a single mom with kids.I don't think the cottage is ideal for families with kids, but instead better suited to couples and mostly adults. While my son loved the row boat and enjoyed rowing my husband around, there was no way to actually access the rock beach other than going down a ladder into the water first. My son came across tide pooling and would have loved to have been able to find treasures on the beach during low tide. Also listed was enjoying fishing but when I inquired, no poles were available. You should definitely consider adding poles for use. Also, the fact that there was no TV or AC would have been awesome to know. The AC I understand after being there, but coming from Florida I wasn't aware that most homes wouldn't have AC so it was a little shocking in the start.Never been asked to clean a house with chemicals and cleaning supply.
