Very clean and nice!
Simply wonderful place to stay!
We fell in love with this lovely cabin even at 9pm when we pulled up and checked in. It is so quaint, so homey. It's very well-kept, clean and it feels like you can curl up and read right next to the fireplace, it's that kind of homey.
It's away from the touristy-area, but it is not too far. Just enough to make you feel a glimpse of what it's like to live on MDI. It's close to Acadia National Forest, you can drive up the road and check out Beech Mountain or the Pretty Marsh area as well. It's centrally located, quiet area, stars and the moon are out on clear nights and the cabin is warm and cozy on rainy/cold nights.
The biggest plus for us is that it allowed us to bring our dogs with us because the cabin is pet friendly.
I also like the open communication with David, he answered my questions and inquiries about the area a month and a half before the trip. Great hosts!
We are for sure coming back for another trip, much longer stay this time. That quick little trip wasn't enough to explore MDI.
If you are looking for a quiet, nicely appointed cabin in the woods this is the place.
For my wife and me this was the perfect place to unwind. We would return in a heartbeat but book it for a longer period of time. Some days we went out and explored other days we just sat around and cooked at the Cabin. For us it was a five star experience.
Within walking distance of great hiking, and pet friendly (though you'd never know it, thanks to how clean it's kept), this cozy cabin is the perfect respite from the crowded northern part of the island. The owners are friendly and available if needed, but completely unobtrusive if not. We really look forward to returning.
Immaculate, great yard, quiet, location perfect. Would stay here again in a heart beat.
Perfect for our family! We loved everything about this house the location, setup, and dog friendly! We will definitely be returning
