When your family is thinking of an Isle of Palms Vacation in Wild Dunes, the first thing that might come to their mind is the wide beach, or the gentle waves breaking along the shore, hunting for shells, running barefoot along the croquet lawn, or maybe the Grand Pavilion Boardwalk where there are two oceanfront pools, ice cream, dining, music and more. Thankfully, all these perfect vacation images can come to be when choosing “Palms Away” at 136 Grand Pavilion at Wild Dunes.

Description:

“Palms Away” is a hidden gem in the Grand Pavilion community. Professionally decorated, every detail has been considered for you and your family to have the best vacation on the Isle of Palms. The living room is perfectly appointed with comfortable furnishings, large television and a private deck which is surrounded by palm trees providing cool shade on the warmest of days. The well-equipped kitchen has been renovated with new stainless-steel appliances and hard surface countertops.

One of the unique features of “Palms Away” is that each of the four bedrooms are spacious, with its own environmental controls, television, and private bath. The first level bedroom is perfect for the kids with three twin beds. Up one floor, there are two guest bedrooms. The first features a king bed and the other two full beds. Finally, the top floor is highlighted with the master bedroom. The large all new bath is a delight in the master bedroom, plus there is an open deck with peeks of the ocean. Great care has been taken in choosing the décor of each bedroom with an emphasis on comfort.

The Grand Pavilion community is the center of Wild Dunes, a resort development on the northern end of the Isle of Palms. Within the Grand Pavilion, your family will be delighted to find a long list of amenities including: Two oceanfront swimming pools Oceanfront restaurant and bar Duney’s Ice Cream Shop Seasonal events and music Coastal Provisions fine dining Beach volleyball More amenities await your family adjacent to the Grand Pavilion and less than a five-minute walk from “Palms Away”. These include: The Wild Dunes Harbor golf course Hudson’s Market Shopping Playground Sand and Sea Day Spa Sweetgrass Conference Center Fishing dock.

 Parking:
Two assigned parking spaces.
Two cars may park in un-assigned parking spaces on a first come basis.

Beach Chairs and Umbrella:
The Isle of Palms Beach Chair Company will provide your family two classic wooden beach chairs and an umbrella when you stay seven nights (March– October).   These are set up on the beach each morning for your family and removed each night by the crew at IOP Beach Chair Company.

Ideally located, this beach house on the Isle of Palms is an easy drive to Sullivan’s Island, Mount Pleasant and Historic Charleston. Sullivan’s Island (7 miles) features Fort Moultrie and wonderful dining options along Middle Street. In Mount Pleasant (8 miles), your family will want to visit Boone Hall Plantation with its avenue of oaks, the USS Yorktown, Town Center shopping and the restaurants lining the shrimp docks on Shem Creek. Finally, Historic Charleston (17 miles) is the number one tourism destination in the United States and offers some of the world’s finest restaurants, galleries, historic homes and gardens.

The Wild Dunes Community has a strict no pet policy for non-residents.  Pets are not allowed within the gates of the community.

My first time in Isle of Palms and I couldn’t have picked a better place for a bachelorette trip! Everything was perfect. Communication was great! I arrived early and was able to check in and decorate before the rest of the group arrived. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a clean, convenient, and safe location.

Great location, nice house

Awesome location. It was clean and nice. Nice porch outside off the living room. As an FYI - when you walk in from the parking area, there is a set of steps to get to the main floor.

Family Spring Break

We met up with family for a long weekend in IOP. We had fun game nights at the large kitchen table. The teens enjoyed exploring the area and swimming in the pools. All the bathrooms are nicely updated! And the location to the beach can’t be beat!! We had a great visit to Wild Dunes!

End of summer stay

Enjoyed our stay. Great location. House was very clean and in very good condition. Resort overall has changed since Hyatt took over, not for the better. Still a great family vacation spot!

Family Memories

The location, layout and condition of the property was easily a 5 star based on all descriptions advertised. The check in, check out , communications with Beachside and equipment rental was a 6 star , an extra star rating created to reflect the quality of service during a pandemic . Three minor observations for the benefit of the owner : the drawer next to the oven needs to have the door glued back as it " catches " on the stove and if not attended to will necessitate more extensive repair down the road . Likewise, the door to the bathroom from the kitchen sticks; either it is slightly swollen or the floor is uneven. Third, the second level master bedroom shower has a leak at the shower head. Finally , one of the doors to the garbage storage unit is completely disassembled . I feel sure that must be on an existing repair list as it is quite obvious. None of these detracted from our stay. I only mention them as a heads up to management or the owner.
