About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10) Ocean Views & Sports Card !

54 Grand Pavilion: 2018 Sports Card for guests !

The Grand Pavilion is the hub of the resort, featuring a AAA four diamond hotel, pools, The Boardwalk Inn, restaurants, deli, small upscale store, spa and beauty center, golf, tennis

and bike rentals. Everything you want to do on the resort is within walking distance from 54 Grand Pavilion.

Our home features a bright and open floor plan, including hardwood floors, spacious master bedroom with sitting area, and ocean views from the Charleston style porches. The porches overlook a 40' x 200' lawn. Beautiful live oaks and native palm trees surround the courtyard. You can relax on the rocking porches and watch the kids play! The Grand Pavilion pools are just steps from the door and the beach is less than 40 yards - just 30 seconds away. Our home is at the end of a cul-de-sac on the quiet side of the Grand Pavilion. The special features of this home, in addition to its location and ambience, are the spacious living/dining area and the master bedroom. The master bedroom provides a quiet place to retreat and relax - to read a great book, watch TV, catch up with the real world on the internet or just sit and enjoy the ocean breezes on the porch.

Our lovely home received major facelift this spring! We upgraded the kitchen, baths, furnishings, art, beds, etc. It has always been a very cheerful and comfortable home - and we are excited about the improvements we have chosen. We think our home feels very elegant, modern, relaxing and most important, comfortable!

In addition to the master, the home features three additional bedrooms, each with an adjoining bath. The bedroom downstairs features hardwood floors, a queen bed, a TV. It is the peach room in the pictures. The front bedroom upstairs (the green room) is the same size, has a queen bed and has a private attached bathroom. The middle bedroom upstairs has twin beds and also has a private bath. Baby's Away in Charleston can provide crib and other baby needs that you may have. They will deliver on Sundays for your arrival.

NOTE: Full week rentals only in SUMMER season.

SPRING AND FALL WEEKENDS - 3 night minimum, 4th NIGHT IS FREE! Come a day early or stay until Monday!!!

Many of our renters are repeat guests. Here are some comments written in our guestbook recently:

'Your home is so well-decorated, clean, well-organized and fun to live in! The amenities at Wild Dunes are great too - golf, pool, beach (all day - sunrise to sunset and moonrise!) Thanks for offering this paradise for us to enjoy!'

'The location could not have been better - the view from the porches really lent to the tropical feeling. We hope to come again!'

'We loved your home! Thank you so much for such a wonderful home base for our vacation. Our kids loved playing in the courtyard while we rocked on the deck! We look forward to coming back again.'

About Perry & Gerry

We started vacationing on the Isle of Palms when my husband's family relocated to Mt. Pleasant

more than 20 years ago. We loved spending vacations here so much with our children that we decided to purchase a second home soon after in Wild Dunes. Now that our children are grown, we have been fortunate to spend even more time here. It's given our family so many wonderful memories over the years and we are looking forward to many more to come! We hope that you will enjoy the same happiness and have the opportunity to create your own wonderful memories too. The Barbaruolo's

Perry & Gerry purchased this house in 2017

Why Perry & Gerry chose Isle of Palms

Location, location, location! This house, which has been on the rental market for several years with its previous owner, has consistently been given a 5 star rating. It has recently been renovated and upgraded, giving it a modern, fresh appeal. This part of SC is very relaxed and welcoming. The people are friendly and considerate. We love the easy access to the Interstates and the many attractions. Charleston is historic and grand, the island feels very tropical and relaxing, and in between is Mt. Pleasant. This eclectic city has much to offer - historic Patriot's Point, golf courses, plantations, fishing boats and restaurants at Shem Creek, as well as the same convenience shopping that you find at home. Your favorite pharmacy, grocery store and general shopping stores are likely to be found within a 10 minute drive from the island. You never need to worry about what you forgot - you can find whatever you need in a very short drive, minimizing time away from the beach.

What makes this house unique

We love to relax on the porches or take a walk on the beach. The beach, of course, is also a great place to sit and play. It is wonderful to get away from it all to do just nothing - or catch up on reading - or even work on the laptop. Some of us enjoy fishing, crabbing and golf. We especially enjoy dining out in the area. There are so many wonderful restaurants between the IOP, Mt Pleasant, Sullivan's Island and Charleston. Charleston is a fun place to shop - there are a variety of local and national shops, as well as the historic Charleston Market. Patriots Point and the boat trip from there to Ft Sumpter is fun and the fort tour is a good history lesson. The first shot of the civil war was fired there. The truth is, we always plan to do more, but we get very comfortable and often find that it's hard to leave this special house by the sea!

Everything we hoped for!

We found the property to be exactly as described on the VRBO site. Spacious, spotless and first class. We highly recommend this home to anyone wishing to visit the Charleston coast.

Great place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

Great location, very nice decor, everything included to make our stay as comfortable as possible. My 72 year old Aunt's first visit to the ocean and we could not have chosen a better place.

Nice ocean views and only a short walk to the beach. We would definatley come again.

Thanks Perry for sharing such a wonderfull place.

Great stay!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic week with our 2 young children (ages 3 and 7) and my parents. The house was beautiful, and the kids couldn't have been happier with the proximity to the beach. Our days revolved around the beach! We ate most of our meals in, and found everything we needed in the kitchen. The owner was responsive.

The house looks out over a green space, with views of the ocean from the balcony. We considered the balcony to be one of the best features of the house. One thing to be aware of: there are frequent private parties booked on the lawn in front of the house. During our 7 nights, there were 3 parties. On Sat night, a very LOUD wedding. There was live music, with speakers set up right in front of the house. It was loud enough that our kids could not get to sleep, even when we moved them to the bedroom furthest away. The music abruptly stopped at 10 PM though. On Tuesday night, there was a corporate party with soft music, not a big deal at all. And on Friday night, another wedding. But that one had a DJ instead of live music, and the speakers were on the other end of the lawn, so it did not interfere with the kids' sleep. It did make us hesitate to use the balcony on that beautiful night, because we felt like creepers sitting out there! But we sat out there anyway...

Overall, we had a fantastic week, and we would not hesitate to book this home again. Despite the 1 loud wedding, we absolutely recommend it!! Would love to stay here again.

A Wonderful Home; Steps from the Beach and Grand Pavilion

  • 5 of 5

54 Grand Pavilion is a wonderful property, steps from the beach and the Grand Pavilion pools and boardwalk in the Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms. Despite being close to the ocean and Grand Pavilion, this is a very peaceful setting and the perfect place to relax and enjoy private time with family and/or friends. You can literally roll out of bed and a 30-yard walk puts you on the beach for your morning walk. The home is spacious, comfortable, beautifully appointed and immaculately maintained. Everything is as stated in the listing and everything: the wifi, cable tv, appliances, etc., works consistently! We stayed here for a week with our two grown children and didn't have one issue, concern, or complaint, whatsoever. We were greeted with beautiful flowers in the kitchen upon our arrival and shortly thereafter spoke with the new owners. The owners were truly very accommodating hosts and expressed a sincere interest in our enjoying the property and amenities to the fullest extent possible. We have been coming to IOP for 10 years now, and this stay may have been the best of all, particularly as it relates to the property's proximity to the beach and its warmth and coziness. We could not provide the owners and their future guests with a higher rating or greater recommendation. We certainly plan to come back again. L&M (Virginia)
