All of the beautiful one and two-bedroom condos at Castle Reef are fully furnished and include spacious living and dining areas, well-stocked kitchens, and private balconies. At only five stories, every condo is easily accessed. On the outside, you'll enjoy a heated pool, a kiddie pool, tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, a recreation room, two barbecue gas grills, free complex WIFI, and open parking. The expansive beach deck offers private access to one of the most peaceful areas in New Smyrna Beach. The complex was built in 1979 and has 165 units. If golfing is your sport, you'll find that Castle Reef is perfectly situated just minutes from five golf courses. Many restaurants, stores, and shops are located within walking distance of Castle Reef.

New Smyrna in May

Great place to stay. Easy access to the beach. The condo was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the living room furniture was nice. Watching the sun rise and set on the balcony was amazing. The location of the property was convenient to restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice stay for Daytona 500

This was a nice, quiet place to stay. Updated condo and clean accommodations. Unfortunately, the beach was closed while we were there, but the views were beautiful. It was a great area to stay in for a family attending the Daytona 500. It was quiet and away from the crowds near the track or in Daytona Beach. There is a Dollar General Market right across the street and a Publix a mile away. Lots of restaurant choices as well. Great stay!

Very nice place. Would stay here again. We arrived after the office was closed so our condo was a little difficult to locate. Maybe supply a map showing location of your condo.

Wonderful property!

We enjoyed our stay in this newly renovated property. It's comfortable and clean, and the view of the ocean off the balcony is beautiful! The kitchen has all new appliances and is well-stocked. Communication with the management company was easy and the check-out process was simple. We'd definitely stay here again!

Much needed getaway!!

We really enjoyed our stay and would welcome the opportunity to return.The only small glitches we experienced was the confusion over the parking space which we found out was not required and the fact that we had to wait for over an hour to get our wrist band passes.It was a wonderful,convenient place to visit.

This was by far the best beach I've been to! The condo was just as the pictures show. Great restaurants. The condo residents are super friendly. The only negative thing I have to say is there was no clear indication of which building the condo was in. Luckily a resident was happy to help me figure it out.

Great family vacation stay!

Was my first time using a VRBO for a vacation, and the condo was exactly as pictured, and we really loved staying here! The heated pool was great, and the private beach access was even better! Morning sunrise walks on the beach were beautiful. The view is incredible. The town has everything you need and is more laid back which is ideal for us. The management company was thorough with text messages and emails explaining check in/ check out/ what's available, etc. We would stay here again!

I love new Smyrna been going and staying at that beach for 50 years. The condo was remodeled and very nice . It did not have a very cook friendly kitchen. And there was a charge for everything . Early check in, later check out the parking pass the wristbands. All the fees from Vrbo or the management ridiculous.

Great location

Location on New Smyrna Beach was perfect and in no drive zone. The condo unit was very nice and clean. I had a little trouble finding the actual unit but other than that no issues. Even played pickleball at the tennis/pickleball court. The description is accurate, including what they stock and what they don’t stock in the unit and kitchen. I recommend this condo for a relaxing vacation.

Condo was very nice and clean. Easy access to pool and beach. However we were unable to access the balcony due to a blind issue, we couldn’t get it to go up. Very unhappy about that. Overall a nice place though.

Beautiful Property and View of the Ocean

Updated condo with view of ocean and lovely, well-maintained property from the balcony. Enjoyed easy access to the beach and heated pool.Our stay would have been excellent with only a few important attention to detail changes:Upon arrival the bedding (blue blanket) in bedroom #1 was soiled, along with a used towel left hanging in the closet. Less importantly, the kitchen was lacking; such as, dishcloths/towels and a large frying pan. We also prefer liquid hand soap for the bathroom sinks. We would pay more each night to have such minor comforts added.Our stay was quite enjoyable other than mentioned above.

Great weekend away

We really enjoyed our stay- the condo is conveniently located across from a shopping plaza with a grocery store, breakfast/coffee restaurants, etc. and the view from the unit of the ocean was beautiful. I had some trouble getting into our unit initially but the Property Manager was responsive and was able to assist. It wasn't super obvious from the property listing that there was NOT laundry in the unit- which is OK, but I was assuming there would be. Regardless, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again potentially in the future. Thank you!

Nice place with some small maintenance issues

This would be a five star property except for a few maintenance issues including a sliding door that wouldn't lock; the sliding door window shade that we couldn't retract (and which has apparently been an issue for some time as it was noted in other reviews), a toilet that wasn't set properly and wobbled, an air duct in a bedroom that rattled, and a fridge icemaker that didn't dispense any ice. But the place was very clean, kitchen adequately stocked, and location excellent. And we did call maintenance about the locking door and this was promptly addressed.

Daytona Cheer Weekend

Needed a place to stay for UCA College Nationals happening in Daytona. The unit was clean and check-in process was very easy. Communication was quick and any issues we had were dealt with promptly. The Pros of this unit are that it is a clean unit, nice pool and beach area and great location.The Cons are that the AC cannot be lowered below 74 degrees during the day and the unit was somewhat warm. Fans in the closet are quite dirty and we did not use them as a result. The master bath shower has little to no water pressure making that shower pretty much useless. The coffee pot was not cleaned prior to our stay, grinds and filter were still in the machine.Overall it was a nice unit, quiet location and easy access to the beach. While it was renovated and clean, it seems like it is an older building with some issues with plumping and HVAC.

Disappointing!

We arrived Friday to a shower head in the master bathroom that didn't work, broken door off the hinge to the closet in the master bedroom, broken icemaker, light bulbs not working in lamps, lights on the palm tree not working and problems with key lock working inconsistently ( no key for the door in the condo like there is in other condos) Very frustrating. When I mentioned about how loud the fans were in the bathroom I was told they were old and may need to be replaced or cleaned. No directions on how to use the two remote controls for the TVs. Finally got one of the three TVs to work. Contacted Great Ocean and Homes so many times in our three day stay. The shower and icemaker were going to have workman come for a second time after we checked out to try to fix them! The office called as we were driving home. Too late!
