The stay was very good overall. Woke up Sunday morning to 3 black bears by the hot tub but we had a great time

Perfect little cabin

We absolutely loved this cabin. The decor was adorable with its modern retro vibe. We loved it and it will be our first choice when we return in a couple of months.

Lots of little issues really added up here, but bottom line, this is an old cabin deep in the woods that has been dressed up on the surface. The pictures make it look lovely but in reality the makeover is already showing major wear and tear. The rocking chairs on the porch are broken with multiple pieces loose/missing. We couldn’t use the French doors because the handles and hinges were so loose, we hardly could get the doors to lock. We contacted owner about concern with doors but did not get a follow up if they were looked at. The furniture, especially couch, was dirty. The beds are small and so cheap that the mattress is like a cot you sleep at when you’re a kid at overnight camp. We slept terribly! There is no drawers or closets for any storage. There are no hooks to hang a jacket on. There wasn’t even any coffee, salt or pepper in the shakers. It just felt like the place had been abandoned for awhile. My kid slipped and fell on the unsecured rug in the hallway. The property is uneven, so when I went to do laundry, I banged my head so hard on the dryer door above me that I saw stars, not realizing that it had swung back to close. You literally have to hold it open with one hand while grabbing the laundry from the washer below with the other. The “huge lawn” is nonexistent, there is an immediate drop off right next to the fire pit. There was no way I was letting my kids near there. The check in/out process was confusing with conflicting messages. I could go on…

The cabin was very nice and clean, check-in was a bit iffy but i figured it out quick. Only main issue was that the listing says 3 queens(1/each beadroom) but theyre not, theyre either fulls or doubles.

Great Property

The property is spectacular and in a nice area. The owners of the property take good care of the site. Great views and close proximity to downtown Gatlinburg. The property management communication is difficult to communicate with and is not very responsive. They had us enter the property “early,” when the property was not ready to be entered. Overall, we would come back, but if there is an issue, communicate with VRBO, not Management company.

The location of the house was excellent for relaxation. The afternoon/ nights were a little too warm, we had to purchase a fan to keep the air circulation to help cool down. We did enjoy our stay though.
