Condo C102 is a one bedroom, non-smoking, oceanfront, corner unit at the Pono Kai Resort located in the historic town of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii. From the our lanai you can watch beautiful and unique sunrises over the Pacific Ocean or you might catch a glimpse of the whales during the migrating season (Dec.-April). Pono Kai is within walking distance to grocery and drug stores, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, art galleries, a public library, and medical clinic.

Our condo has a king size bed and a sofa that opens into a queen size bed. All sheets, blankets, towels and beach towels are provided. Also, there is a recliner in the living room with a view of the ocean.

Our unit includes a full size kitchen with an electric stove, refrigerator with an ice maker, dishwasher and microwave. All dishes, silverware, utensils, pots and pans are provided as well as, a coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, hand mixer, and rice cooker. The bathroom has a tub/shower with safety bars. For your convenience, a starter kit of basic amenities, including coffee and tea for your first morning, is provided.

Our condo is air-conditioned for your added comfort and there are ceiling fans in the living/dining room and in the bedroom. Also, there are two portable tower fans in the unit.

For your entertainment there is a TV/DVD in the living room and a TV in the bedroom. There is a stereo CD player with an iPod connection. The complimentary secure WiFi in the unit extends to the lanai.

The location of our unit in building C gives easy access to the Kauai Coastal pedestrian and bike path and is just a short walking distance from the on site free parking area as well as, from the pool area and main lobby. The front desk in open 24 hours.

Pono Kai Resort's many amenities include a pool, hot tub, saunas, tennis court, putting greens, bocce court, shuffleboard, volley ball area and a workout room. There are barbeque/picnic areas, island orientations conducted by the resort staff, a concierge/activities desk and coin operated laundry facilities in each building.

About Owner

We bought are first timeshare at Pono Kai 20 years ago and fell in love with the resort and location. We dreamed of spending a major portion of our retirement on Kauai and bought 6 weeks of timeshare over the years.

Finally, our real dream came true when we were able to purchase one of the few privately owned units at the resort. We still own 2 weeks in a 2 bedroom and one week in a 1 bedroom with a loft timeshare so we can share our love with friends and family.

This is truly paradise to us. KAUAI..a well maintained resort.....a beautiful condo on the ocean...close to everything we need. We don't even need to drive if we couldn't or didn't want to. What more could you ask for?

My husband and I were lucky enough to spend eight weeks at Pono Kai C102, early 2013. The unit is beautifully furnished and has a well-stocked kitchen with good quality cookware. Being a corner unit the extra window gives added light and it feels very open. It is also very clean and well looked after.



Pono Kai C102 also comes with the most beautiful sun-rises we have ever seen. We are looking forward to our return next year.

Absolutely perfect!

We visited Kauai just last week--stayed there thru August 5th--we loved our Kapa'a get-a-way--to us it was the perfect location to head to the North Shore, South Shore or just tool around in Kapa'a. We packed so much into our stay and being able to come back to Pona Kai and stay here was ideal!! The condo was well furnished, met all of our needs--and having breakfast and coffee overlooking the ocean and sunrise every morning was such a delight. Kathleen was very responsive, even sent us a "what to do while on Kauai"--emailed me back promptly with every question--she is a very responsive host. The bike path runs in front of the property and Kapa'a Old Town is walking distance to lots of shops, food trucks and restaurants..I loved the vibe of Kapa'a...so much more my style than the South Shore--and you will not find a better ocean view for this price and this location. This was our first visit to the island and we will be back and we will stay here again!!!! Oh one more thing--the staff at Pono Kai were so helpful too, very friendly, answered our questions, gave us excellent tips...I am still smiling such a big smile from our trip!!! Thanks Kathleen!!!!

Owner's Response: One does not easily forget their first trip to the beautiful Garden Island! Glad that your stay was so memorable. Kapa’a, on the east side, is a wonderful location for guests who wish to tour the various areas of the island. Many guests have remarked that the Pono Kai staff do exemplify the “aloha spirit”. Also, the front desk staff is available 24 hours a day. For guests who love to hike, check out online, Na Ala Hele Trails and Access. It is a resource developed by the state Department of Land and Natural Resources. It includes information about 35 of Kauai’s trails. For those who are visiting and may need WiFi along the way, Hawaii’s Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs has established WiFi access points at public parks, civic and community centers, and other public open areas. These designated locations offer 1 hour of free WiFi service per device per day. On Kauai, there are locations in Kapa’a, Lihue, Koloa, Waimea and Hanalei.

Nice and helpful staff. Great having snorkel and surf equipment available right there. Chickens were entertaining. Lots of activity equipment in the closet.

Owner's Response: (CORRECTED VERSION) For those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving, charter tours along the breathtaking Na Pali Coast anchor during the excursions allowing passengers to snorkel, scuba dive and see the schools of colorful fish, dolphins and Hawaiian monk seals. Depending on the weather and ocean conditions, Tunnels Beach, during the summer, has great near-shore snorkeling and off-shore scuba diving. On the south shore, Po’ipu Beach can be fantastic for snorkeling. Lifeguards, showers, picnic tables pavilions, and playgrounds make this an ideal family beach.

Owner's Response: Kapa’a is a great location on the island. Kauai’s The Garden Island reported that in April, Kapa’a was listed by TripAdvisor as one of the top 10 travel destinations for 2018. Kapa’a means “solid” in Hawaiian and it is located at the base of Nounou Mountain (the Sleeping Giant). It is a charming town with many sites and activities in walking distance from Pono Kai Resort.

Owner's Response: Having the ocean so close to the condo is truly terrific. Many guests remark on how they enjoy the ever changing view from the lanai throughout the day, especially the action of the ocean waves and various cloud formations. Also, in front of the condo is the Kauai County bike and walking path (Ke Ala Hele Makalae). It is Hawaiian for “The Path that Goes by the Coast”. The path eventually will follow the eastern shoreline for 17 miles from Nawiliwili to Anahola. It is enjoyed by all ages for walking, biking, photo taking, conversation, etc. So glad the you enjoyed your time at Pono Kai and we look forward to your return.
