Minimum Stay 2 - 7 nights

About the property

6 Bedrooms, 4.5 Baths, (Sleeps 12)

Located on a private gravel road, this Lake Michigan beach property is the perfect place for a family-and-friends getaway. The midcentury home has a wonderful, open feeling with a bay window to enjoy a sunrise and lake views of every season. The large dining room table is a great place to gather for meals and games. The master bedroom (with a Sleep Number king-sized bed and full bath en suite) is situated on the first floor. Guests on the upper level have their choice of two bedrooms with two twin beds and one bedroom with a queen size bed. All three bedrooms have easy access to a new adjacent second floor full bath.

Spend a spring or summer evening on the front lawn at the firepit taking in an occasional rainbow or toasting marshmallows while doing a little stargazing. A seven-circuit labyrinth is nestled in the backyard for a sense of tranquility for all. During the winter months the forever changing lake creates ice sculptures along the shore, which is a beautiful site for the young and old at heart. Experience the variety and splendor that each season has to offer.

The two-bedroom Keeper's Cottage is located just west of the main house above the nicely finished garage/recreation and laundry space. Roomy and cheerful, the second story Keeper’s Cottage offers views of the lake on one side and woods on the other. An attached second story screened in porch is a great place to enjoy a beverage and watch the wildlife. Bikes and helmets for all ages are available for use. Enjoy a good game of ping-pong with family and friends in the lower level recreation space.

Take a bike ride on the nearby Ozaukee Interurban Trail, golf at Whistling Straits, Black Wolf Run, The Bog, or other golf courses in the area, visit Kohler Art Center or Above & Beyond Children's Museum in Sheboygan, or simply enjoy the spectacular sunrises. Located only a mile away, you can also visit Harrington Beach State Park. There you can fish the beautiful quarry, hike or bike the trails, and cross-county ski the paths and expansive open areas. Interested in snowmobiling? You can also do that at the Kettle Moraine State Forest, which is an easy drive from the property. This and much more awaits you at this serene beachside home.

Great management, amazing location, nice and quiet with beach access. The toughest decision to make on this trip was what are we having for lunch. A+

Perfect house for family reunion

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Firefly Farms was wonderful. It was the perfect place for my wife and me to spend a relaxing week with our kids and grandchildren. We had plenty of room for the 12 of us and we all really enjoyed being right on Lake Michigan. Those of use that arose early got to enjoy the magnificent sun rises. Even the sun sets were a special time to sit back and enjoy the lake and the camp fires. Sally was a fantastic property manager and the houses met all of our needs. Only issue was an occasional buzzing coming from the upstairs A/C units. Sally was going to call in someone to take a look at this. The kitchens were very well equipped that allowed each family to prepare delicious meals. My only suggestion is to have an electric griddle available. The top of the stove griddle did not work well for us. There was lots to see and do in the area and we enjoyed just hanging out and being together as a family. We hope to be back next year.

Fantastic Property

  • 5 of 5

We had 4 couples during the US Open golf tourney at Erin Hills, each couple had there own bathroom, great firepit right on the shore of Lake Michigan, great outdoor and indoor dining with gas barbecue. Went salmon fishing out of Port Washington on the Monday and cooked Salmon many different way during the whole week, best dining in town. Had plenty of bikes for everyone and many games to play in the lawn. Hiking close around the quarry at Harrington state park a few miles away. Minor problems with house, but Sally was very responsive to the problem and fixed right a way. Definitely would return and highly recommend it. Living the Dream!

Relaxing retreat

  • 5 of 5

We spent a relaxing weekend here with our siblings, parents, and kids. From comfortable quiet spots to long dining tables where the action happens in large family get togethers. Wonderful hospitality and accommodations all around.

Owner's Response: The property really does lend itself well to family gatherings. We are happy you were able to spend some quality time with each other! The kids looked like they were enjoying their stay... riding bikes, exploring the beach and playing in the lake (among other things). Great memories!!

Family Thanksgiving

  • 5 of 5

Great place for 12 family members to gather for the holiday. There were lake views from most of the rooms. Loved the window seats in the living room and dining room area. Had all the kitchen equipment we needed to cook Thanksgiving dinner. Used the extra oven in the guesthouse too. Kids loved the ping pong table which was set up in the guest house garage. We enjoyed the wood fireplace in the house. Just a side note - the house is more like a cabin, it's not modern but does have all the amenities you need for a big group. It was perfect for our group. The beds were really comfy and the views of the lake were beautiful. The guesthouse is located behind the main house across the road which has an up to date kitchen and set up. This was perfect for our family who have younger children.
